The bender is about 20-30 second warm up. I use that when I need a session and not just a couple tokes. It is efficient, but when I vape that's not my biggest concern. I always bake with my ABV so I usually never let it get too dark.

Can anyone remember when the 1701 carts are due out, and whats the difference with the 1701-e carts on the Delta9 site?

Flavor is the most important to me, besides medication of course.
Is that your concern as well?

Best wishes for the new year!

Got an omicron to 510 adapter and tried my hercules on my provaris.
One provari, v1, throws all sorts of random error messages.

The v2 provari, however, works a charm. I can dispense with the bottom screen in the heater tube.
Just pack fine grind flower in there, surrounding the ceramic element. The provari reads the hercules at 1.7 ohms.

I set the provari at 5.4 volts and NO COMBUSTION !!! In essence, a $160 iris.

YMMV.

Vaping is a way of life!
Hope this new year brings the Iris top and 1701's etc, etc, etc, no but really HAPPY NEW YEAR, its gonna be an exciting year for vaping!!!!

In the manual it says to check the carts with 3.7 and look for a glow... I only see a glow with the 7.4 am I doing something wrong? Also anyone know about the site company's site being down?

I had a hard time with the learning curve at first.
The 2.4V carts with the 3.4 Battery has worked the best for me.
Buy a 5 pack and it will last a long time.
I fill mine with Wax (many types) Plus Honey Oils.
The HERCULES is a great device however has a few issues that are being worked out.
Get the carts mastered before you move on to all the cool attachments.
This is the advice I got from this tread earlier on in my vaporizing quest!

Yes, 2.4 Ohm carts at 3.7 Volts is definitely the way to start. 5 Ohms is for power users, like the dual top. Hercules is even harder to master, I would not try it until you have Omicron with carts sorted out.

Yes, running them dry at 7.4 Ohms is wrong.....which is why the instructions tell you not to do it. It can very quickly wreck the cart, most likely by making it leak costing you .2 grams or so of concentrate....plus the leak. The universal advice from experienced owners seems to be 'don't do dry burns' (including 'oxidizing') at all. It's come up several times, nobody seems to defend the practice.....lots of guys have had troubles. Sometimes otherwise good carts are far enough off center to not show the glow anyway.

Get some 2.4 Ohm carts, load them carefully (watch the preheat of the center section, most important) and not loading more than .5 at a time and you should be on the road.

Good luck.

Ok thanks for the help just ordered some 2.4's! now about the 5.0ohm not lighting up with the 3.7v during dry fire to check it as the manual states... could my 3.7v be bad or whats cause them not to light? so i shouldn't test them before filling like the manual says?

While I have never had an issue with dry firing a cart enough people have had issues and the carts no longer have the crap I was dry burning off 8 months ago so there is very little reason. 3.7v has never made the element visible to me with a 5ohm cart, 7.4v will and that is a cart that burned out immidiately after that.

When filling up a new 5ohm (4 or 3) it is recommended to prime the cart with 3.7v to get the oil flowing then switch to 6 or 7.4v.

You're welcome. As GR says the rule is to prime at 3.7 Volts, I would not do dry burns even at reduced power. Two very different things. Priming at reduced voltage is good, but not dry firing. No upside, and the downside is an expensive PITA.

i was wondering how you guys know when its time to fill the cartridge back up? do you weigh it full and wait until until its .5 lighter?

I usually do it the other way around. I weigh it empty and refill when it gets under .3 left. If it slows up, I start looking for why.

Either way will work fine, of course. The trick is getting the start weight and keeping track. When all else fails you can usually see down past the bridge to the wicks inside if you work at it.

My rule of thumb is when production seems off I first think 'weak battery', then 'low on oil'.

Ive tried priming at 3.7v never primes tried for a good 10 15 mins straight. its my oil to thick maybe or just filling it wrong?

Like OF I weight the cart first, it has been a long time since my carts have not been 7.5-7.6g empty on my scale.

My personal preference is to not let the cart get below the empty cart weight plus .3g, I find that this promotes containments crusading up the wick. While I never load more then .5g for the first fill I do find that once it is primed and oil is flowing nicely the cart will hold more then .5 of oil. I usually fill and use up .1g then fill again with .2g-.3g, this allows me to have .3-.4g of vapable oil, ymmv. This is more important to me with the 5ohm carts at 7.4v, I will vape .1g in a session so a .5g filled cart is only two sessions for me before it needs a fill.

I am assuming you are talking about 3.7v not producing vapor on a 5ohm cart. Well a 14500 battery freshly charged on the Omni will produce very light vapor but normally it is just a wisp of visible vapor if that. For me priming a 5ohm at 3.7v is done when the draw goes from warm air to a bit denser with some flavor, primed and done in my book.
