best vaping method for asthmatic!

Ok so i have the extreme q and the solo arizer and I still sometimes cough from both of them...

I heard hot water is good but I also heard ice water is good, and then going through water filtration (the vapexhale cloud seems awesome) but I can't afford the vapexhale.... what would be the best method so I dont cough?

I would love some advice from people with bad lungs or asthma. Thanks!!!

sincerely,

a hurting stoner.

I've tried hot water for filtration and didn't like it, but that was during the summer. Maybe winter would be better. I prefer cold water and when I use ice I can't feel any vapor at all, but I prefer a little burn to judge my hits so I don't use ice often.

I would definitely recommend you invest in some sort of glass water pipe or maybe the Fatty Vapor Tamer by 7th floor. If your on a tight budget I'd suggest a simple straight tube. I'm rocking a 11" RX industries tube that came with a gridded downstem and love it. Fits perfect in my hand and has a nice solid base to prevent tipping.

This is the 14" one.

So I would say get you a water pipe and start experimenting. One of the added benefits of glass is you can see the vapor and judge your hits.

Good luck.

hey thanks a lot. I appreciate the kind words... I do have a small LEFT COAST bong that I use as my water pipe with a 14mm downstem.. would you suggest adding on an ashcatcher or something of the sort to make it less harsh? I tried my solo through the bong and it was alright but still a little cough.

THC itself can make you cough but harshness wise, adding an ashcatcher WOULD make it smoother. Just be sure to find one with small volume that adds minimal drag. I've been searching for one myself but the nice ones I find are all over $120.

If your bong also has combustion resin, its almost smoother with clean glass.

Edit: Do keep in mind: if your herb hasn't been flushed properly or has any kind of mold or mildew, no amount of vaporization or water is gonna fix it. If you live where the stuff can be hard to find, or you get it extra-cheap, that's somethings to look out for.

thanks a lot. I will look for an ashcatcher... but I get medical from a dispensary so I'm pretty sure its good at least, its strong, maybe I have to find a strain that doesnt make me cough. But interesting about THC making you cough in general.. That stinks.. Maybe thats it.

Would a carbon filter do any good? I'm not sure if it helps with vapor.

I'm guessing the ashcatcher just adds more diffusion? Which could also be achieved through using a downstem with more diffusion? You could add both or buy a nicer water pipe.

Have you tried ice Doug? And do you have a budget?

Or maybe try putting a humidifier next to your vaporizer.

I've never used a carbon filter with vapor and only would if I was using a heavy hitting vape taking big rips.

True, if his left coast bong has a non-diffused downstem, changing just that could make the difference between a harsh V. comfortable hit. With a good diffuser you can raise the water level and have it still work nicely.

I am using the downstem that came with my leftcoast. The bottom of it looks diffused like a bullet chamber.. I have tried ice and I may have coughed more.. Warm water was interesting and maybe didn't cough as much. Not sure though still need to test.

My budget isn't much because I spent most of my money on my left coast and arizer extreme q and solo.. I should of just bought a cloud vapexhale with all that money..

The hottest tap water you can get and several small rips instead of a couple big ones might help. Honestly, hit size plays the biggest role for me in terms of comfort. As an added benefit, you should conserve material as well. Small hits will absorb better with less visible exhale. May not be as fun, but should reduce irritation and allow you to use less.
