tiniture from pipe cleaning?

Ok so this is my first thread on this forum. Hi all.
A little background. I have been a combustion smoker for a while. I recently started using a vape and was doing some research on concentrates. I have been cleaning my combustion pipes and assorted smoking materials with everclear for years. Food grade chemicals and all that. I have saved and reused said everclear for a year or so. Was getting ready to open a new bottle. What can be done with the old bottle? I am a daily smoker and clean my pieces every two weeks or so. The liquid is dark brown almost black. I filter all the particulates out with coffee filters prior to rebottling. I then place the bottle in the freezer. What can be done with this? In the past I have just thrown away the bottles. I hate to discard it if it can trips results.

If it was cleaned from pieces used for combustion I would reccomend throwing it out. For vape and dab pieces it would be good to evap and use, but cleaning after combustion is going to leave a lot of nasty stuff. It'll be strong pipe resin if you do evaporate it, and I definitely would reccomend against drinking it.

Understood. I burn all the time because concentrates are extrememly hard to come by around here. Not to mention I smoke tabacco so my lung health is not great. I assumed if I were to drink it it would probably taste like burnt ass. But evaporating it and vaping seemed like a better way. Not the healthiest. When I sent my grow back up this spring I am going away from combustion all together including tabacco.

Gosh... This brings me back to the olden days. Me and a buddy used to scape pipes, bongs, collect roaches for the dry days way back when. He either had a huge stash or no stash so he really became a pro resin-collector in times of need. He had all these crazy tools; stolen dental picks, bent paper clips, pins, needles, parts of pens... All to collect the 'Rez. When I think back to all the crap and nastiness that was in there, I throw up slightly in my mouth. Used and reused and reused roaches. GROSS!!!
It's crazy to think that now I get the most beautiful tasty reclaim from my vapes and glass and not the yucky tar I used way back when. Joy!

Question along the same line here... Theoretically, if I buy a bottle of 151 (no everclear sold locally I can find) and soak my stems after a scrape to get the missed goo, and just re-use the alc, it will be sitting long enough to naturally turn into a tincture? Obviously it would take a while, maybe a few months of collection, but alcohol doesn't really go bad does it? Anyone ever tried just drinking that? I've made tincture with the master wu tech a few times, but this would be much easier.

LOL. Its really not that much different. Its resin collecting all the same. Some are just less concerned with how it looks and tastes. I like to smoke a little black tar every now and again it keeps me from getting too uppity about my weed. and its still not as bad as when I inhale 2 packs a day..

Herb guy. I would think that it would be satisfactory if you don't mind a ashy burnt taste.

Well, I wouldn't want to drink combusted resin tincture (though I have admittedly dipped into my res ball to smoke when the drought season comes around), that just seems too similar to drinking bong water. Vape goo on the other hand should be a little purer I would think? Just not sure about the taste issue.

For what you have, I would probably at most try evaporating it and smoking it. Should be a pretty dank resin (especially if you've got the mix of whatever strains you were smoking all combined). Could be nice, could be a headache in the making. That's always been my drawback to res, I get killer headaches on the 'comedown'.

Almost feels like sacrilege talking about it on a site called 'fuck combustion' though LOL.

A tincture is just an herbal extraction kept in as a consumable liquid, so once you drop a stem or any leaf in the 151 it is a tincture. It is probably not going to be very psychoactive with just stems, but you will extract other parts of the plant that many consider to be of a health benefit. And if you did it enough, you could get it to a point of having some green dragon effects.

No alcohol does not go bad, and EtOH (drinking alcohol) can continue extracting material because of the nature of alcohol, but it will eventually become very thick.

Not very psychoactive - had a question there. Obviously the ABV oil in the stem has been decarbed and a good part of the goodies are gone, but what I like at the end of the night is a nice couchlock to drift off to sleep in. The ABV edibles have worked nicely to that effect, and I usually just zap a few stems if needed, and I'd like a tinc with similar effects... which I'm thinking this might provide? I suppose I could just do a cold run tinc with ABV... since it's already decarbed maybe it would take less time? I guess taste tests would be necessary somewhere along the line, didn't think about it getting too thick. Could just cut it with more 151... not sure how it would taste with water .

A tincture made with abv is def makes me extra nappy IME. If it were me, I'd. Just dumb the abv in the alcohol shake let it sit for a couple hours then strain with a coffee filter. No need for cold unless you have a sensitive stomach, eventhen though you don't have to drink it. Just a few drops under the tongue.

And yes it removes the step of decatbing so it is slightly quicker.

Update. I evaped it off and made some black goo. As I expected it doesn't look or smell very appitizing. I just loaded a dab of it on a bed of green in my Diy vape and got blasted. So for what it is and where it came from I am pretty pleased with the end result. not to mention my first attempt at making honey oil or what ever you would call it i am new to the terms here.
I am definately going to get some quality herb next time around and make some more.

There's a great article on by skunk pharm on cleaning extracts he turns resin, roaches and tar into an amber extract. Granted its more work then 95% of people want to do and takes some additional materials but the option is out there

Btw this site has all kinds of interesting and informative info on medicinal cannabis. It's a GREAT resource to keep around especially if you are into concentrates or extracts.

So far I am loving the site its been great for info. I built a diy vap based off ideas from here and have done my first extraction based off info from this site. I will definetly look into that link. Looks clean a hell of alot cleaner then my end result.

Alright I've been doing this for a few years now, and all my friends can't w8 for me to clean their bongs lol. But once u evaporate it.... Get ready... Make edibles. It taste too bad IMO to smoke it, but edibles mask most of the taste, but be careful it will fuck u up lol
