Gear bad smell coming from titanium nail/vapor dome.

So I'm pretty new to the whole dabbing thing. I recently bought a Termini bub for concentrates. At first I had no problems with it... Until I broke the glass nail that came with it. I ended up buying a titanium nail and a taller dome to go with it. But ever since I started using this new dome and nail, my dabs have been smelling really bad, almost like a bitter kind of smell but I can still smell the pineyness from the oil. So I went and bought another glass nail and its still doing the same thing. It seems like its coming from the glass dome itself. Any ideas as to what's going on here??? I'm still using the same oil that I had before I broke my first nail, the one that I had no problems with.

Did you wash the dome?

Yeah, several times now, with 91% ISO. And I "prepped" the nail, as instructed by the guy at the shop I bought it from

I don't see how your dome would give it any extra flavor.

What about your dabber? Maybe you got some shit stuck to it and that's burning off. Or maybe you need to try another dabber. What are you dabbing with?

I'm using a glass dabber that I've been keeping pretty clean, wiping it off with ISO every couple of dabs. I also cleaned the entire setup (rig, dome, nail, dabber, dish) last night in hopes that it would solve my issue, but no, nothing. I ordered another nail to try with my old dome, hopefully that'll make a difference. I guess ill just have to wait and see. I want to try getting a setup that I can plug directly into my medicali tube and see if that's doing the same thing.

Glass has no taste. More glass will still have no taste. Changing bongs or more glass nails won't change the taste. See a pattern here?
Are we missing the "elephant standing in the room" ? Either overheating / burning your oil or just a bad tasting batch oil?

It seems like after doing a bunch of dabs tonight the smell is starting to fade. Either that or I'm just not noticing it as much. My friends seem to be in agreement as well. Thanks for the input
