Just sealed the deal ordered CeraLL and extra battery with the charger as I do not own any 18560 cells(not sure if thats the correct numbers). Does any one know if the new safety switch can be used the way its presented in the intro vids and still be removed?

See #1554 on page 63
I didn't catch that in any of the vids.

Oil, Glass & I'm a bit of an ass
Question for the TET guys:

I put in my preorder for SS EO Cera, SS LL Cart, & SS light cap but...

I did this because after reading the thread it appeared that SS would be shipping sooner than Ti would. After giving it some thought (and learning how to browse the entire site inventory only after placing my order /idasearch), I would like to change my order to a Titanium EO cart, and keep the SS cap and SS LL cart (its ceramic anyway right?). Should I call you guys first thing Monday or just make the change when someone calls me for pre-order confirmation? I figure if I will only dab on a Ti nail, might as well pony up $ and possibly wait a tiny bit longer.

To anyone trying to mix and match steel and titanium, browse to http://thermovape.force.com/IdaSearch and build your order from there instead of the accessories listed on the Cera order screen.

so... just so i am straight on this.... i do not have money now but i think i want a Cera. i am NOT going to be part of the pre-sale. so what does this mean for me in the new year?

That it sounds like you will have a Cera in the new year, sooner or later...

i am guessing (i hope i'm right) that by one of your statements above Noah, that there will be units available after the pre-sale is over and available in the new year correct??

We are going to transition directly from a pre-sale, to just selling. The only thing making this a pre-sale is that we are not shipping the Cera's for another week or so. Once the parts land, we are just selling. We will provide as constant a stream of Cera's to as many people who want them. If you order a Cera on Christmams Eve 12/24, it it will ship 12/26-12/27 etc. We will back to a 24-48 hour turn-around from order to ship (unless there is some laser etching work that is custom).

We will be seriously geared up for New years. Always a good opportunity for us to try and reach out to poeple smoking cigaretts and let them know we are a potential alternative, that we think would be highly effective in helping them never smoke again.

also.... what ramifications am i losing out on by NOT being part of the pre-sale??

Simply the delay in owning a Cera. There will be a Cera for you if and when you want one. We have one for you, just tell us when and if you want it. No rush. The Cera is the product of 9 cermic tools that cannot be changed, this is what she will be like, forever.

are prices going up?

We had a long discussion with our Ceramics guys on the 6th, an our machinist for SS and the other machinist doing Ti yesterday to purchase and fix our cost for 2013. So there will be NO PRICE INCREASE or DECREASE in 2013. Because of the extremely high cost of the materials in the Cera, and based on the overall cost of building high end mechanical devices that our hand assembled in the USA, we will have predictable yearly price adjustment of the Cera product line. So this time next year the Cera will increase in cost/sale price by 2%-5%. Based on our model this is as conservative as we can be. Plan for a yearly price INCREASE of the Cera by a minimum of 2% every year, and no more then 5%.

So yes, the prices are going up, 12/1/2013 all Cera prodcts (anything with Ceramic or Metal) will go up. They will go up again 12/1/2014 again. Best case a Cera will cost you 4% more starting 12/2014... worst case is 10%.

This is just a side effect of dealing with rare, expensive, US sourced materials usually reserved solely for use in implantable medical devices, complex sensor arrays, military and defense applications, and aerospace. We do not make that many raw materials here in the States, and the ones we do such as Magnesia Stabilize Zriconia, Sulfur free High Grade SS, and High grade T1 go up in price yearly as inflation, feul costs, labor costs, etc. etc. continue to rise. Companies that make fine Jewlery struggle with this same issue, yearly there will be a variation in the price of the raw materials required for them to produce their product.

An example would be Van Cleed & Arpels, every year they raise their pricies a fixed amount to account for the multiple factors that increase the cost of doing business and/or producing the durable good.

Difficult to make another analogy because everyone else who uses these materials are using them for a far different application. Implantable medical devices, military/defense/aerospace. That stuff cost more and more money each year but the data is hard to get on how much they increase the price of the products they make. Anyone know what the year over year cost increase in defense satellite manufacturing is? I do not.

So we rely on fixing our costs as early as possible for the year ahead so we know what we can sell the Cera for.We also know we have to adjust that price yearly to stay uin business.

Our first quote on the Cera, for our cost was >>>$500. this was pretty much a $1000 vaporizer in SS when we first attempted to build it. It is only by the benefit of having years ago partnered with, developed, and worked closely with our ceramics company that we were able to develop a method for building the Cera that was more cost effective. It is simply the fact that we cnvinced our ceramics partners, and metal partners, that this device needed to be made, that it would create jobs, and that people want, and need effective alternatives to smoking. That started conversations that lead to us being able to relaize this device. Only with tremendous support from a lot of dedicated American companies who beleive in our products (and who's companies and business directly support that product) were we able to achieve the Cera. Nathan and I working for free also helps. ;)

The fact that we can sell this device to you for $250 is amazing, it is simply amazing. I never thought we could get the price to that point. It is the greatest achievement in both Nathan and my careers, it ranks right below the birth of my two daughters. This is the culmination of 5 straight years of an unrelenting commitment to achieving this goal. It sets the stage for what we will doing with vaporizers for the years to come. We are just waiting on the batteries to catch up... ;)

You can contact any advnaced technical ceramics company in America, and have our Cera parts, or similar Ceramic parts quoted. Each part requires its own special tool, then has to be Green machined, which is actually the maching of the cermic before it is fully fired, then it is fired. We require a tolerance of 0.002 (20 Microns) of an inch or we reject the part. All 4 parts must interact perfectly, everytime. Those are the requirements we use. With those requirements (which are the requirements the final Cera's are made to) just YOUR PRICE on the 4 pieces of Ceramic will cost you more then we retail the device for. I won't even go into the odyssey of getting th e Ti parts made. Some real magic happened to build the Cera at this price point.

We of course sacrificed our ability to sell the Cera in SS to wholesalers, online sellers, or distributors, YU HAVE TO BUY FROM US for SS Cera, this is solely so we can keep the Cera at the lowest fixed cost possible.

This is tough on our retail, and wholesale partners, however it allows us to sell the Cera, directly to you, and a price that is incredible given the sheer quality of the product in terms of materials alone. If we had o have the standard model, you can do the math. 15-30% for a distributor, and then 50-100%+ mark-up for the retailer.

For the same reason that laser deflectors used in defense satellites, and titanium and Ceramic replacement joints (like those used in Hip replacement surgery) do not go on sale, or have seasonal discounts, neither can we, for the same reason. If we could afford to sell it cheaper we would. We want to prove that American made products can deliver as much, or more value, then imported products, and the same cost. It is challenge. We feel up to it. We are ready.

If anyone can find a portable vaporizer company delivering more value in terms of product quality, please tell me who they are. I want to work with them.

are there pieces you are offering pre-sale customers that you will not be offering to after pre-sale customers??

No. I like things simple. We will deliver the same product, the same service, the same freebie if we are throwing something in, for everyone. I truly believe that being one of the first people to own one of these vaporizers is something special. I believe the Cera will forever change portable vaporization and will inform, and effect our competitors approached, material choices, and the decisions about what quality is, and what a value is.

The Cera is a vaporizer platform that vaporizes everything, everything. Everything people would smoke can be vaporized in a effective way that utilizes the best materials, and current scientific data, patented technology, AND A TON OF USER FEEDBACK. No other vaporizer that has existed is similar to the Cera in any way. It is open source. It is comprised of the best materials available to mankind for this application.

I do not want to sound like we are boasting, we are just really excited. I just believe the Cera will have noticeable effect on the field of portable vaporizers, and not just for the next few months...

We put everythng we had into this because we want to make a difference, any difference we can. This is our all out effort. This is everything we have got. This is our attempt at the ultimate value proposition to the customer. Best materials, patented technology, made in the USA, lifetime warranty, year long heater core warranty with $10 replacement fee after that, fully open source dimensions, common thread pattern, cartridges that allow for the complete and direct vaporization of every single material we have ever attempted to run through it, and it will do it all upside down, easy to clean, easy to sterilize, work directly with glass ware, resistant to leaking, user replaceable battery, easy activation, long battery life, customizable, and simply capable of delivering effective vapor, whenever and wherever you want, however you want, for the rest of your life.

We do not want to sell you a Cera, we want you to see what it will do based on our demos etc. evauate if it would meet your needs, and then decide if you want to purchase the device. If it does not meet your needs, based directly on our ability to communicate exactly what it will do, then please do not purchase the Cera. No gimmicks here, we do not need to be every ones vape, we just want to meet the needs of smokers in a way we feel that will be better then smoking, more efficient then smoking, more cost effective then smoking, and less harmfull IMO for you then smoking.

For example, if you want a digital device, the Cera is analog. No chips, no settings, no dials, no changing colors, no color indicators, it does not have modes, it is not USB, it does not integrate wit a digital lifestyle. It is a analog, mechanical tool. Like many tools it can be used in many different ways depending on the desire of the operator. You are the control, you are the setting, your breath, your inhalations style, how you want to warm it up, how you want to load it. It is your device, your Cera will bend to your will.

Our only goal is really just to clearly define our value proposition in terms of what we deliver, and then identify people who want that value, and provide it to them.

i understand that being a pre-sale customer has its perks over non-pre-sale but i would like to know what those are so i know what i am missing out on, and what is in store for me when i am ready to order (especially if there is going to be a price increase).

Perk = First to order, first to have a Cera.

thanks in advance

Anytime, thank you for your interest.

So I might be dense (and possible a little medicated) but what was the joke in the end credits of that vid? That Zeki was credited with customer service. Or that cool shelf system? Help a brother out and explain...
Please!
PS- Zeki should be credited because if she handles CS than she is very talented!!

I think Anthony justs likes showing off how he tortures people, if required to make the shot.

This TET team is on top of things!
I just asked last night for the user/cleaning manual and they're working on it already.
They've updated their website already, it's coming!
I have only one more request, really need to see that E-juice video. I'm thinking of adding that cartridge to my Cera LL order before it ships.

Cera VG video is done, Anthony is passed out in Jen's office. When he regains consciousness I am going to try and talk him into knockin g this out.

Cheers,

Noah

I cant believe this statement has been just glossed over?? (or did you guys leave it there just for me?)

'' Now the Cera with full thermal condom, looks like a sex toy, could be a sex toy, probably will be a sex toy for someone. That's fine, as long as it help you have an effective alternative to smoking, any other way it can effectively satisfy you (or others, no judgment ;)) is just gravy IMO''

Is this the missing link that explains Zeki's actions with the cera suppository/ self abuse vid?
Has Zeki been to Thailand and learned to vaporise with the cera like some of those chicks do in the bars with cigarettes & ping pong balls? and the footage we saw was Zeki working on the instructional video?

'save your lungs, just clench.' has a nice ring to it! lolz

A new health revolution brought to you by TET.

wow you guys are amazing! do you ever stop working?

cant wait to see him manage to milk a tube like that. lolz

The shop is about 20 miles south of San Francisco.......

Don't go asking questions you don't really want answers to. That's good advice, BTW, hard won knowledge you might say....

Is there anyway you can make an adapter to the T1 so that we can use the new better battery with it. It seems like the Cera still has the major flaws that i felt the t1 had (getting too hot) but it just has a much better battery life. Can you guys offer a way to use the new batteries with my T1? The T1 is being made obsolete due to the fact that the battery can't compete. If the T1 had the same battery life as the cera I would most definitely keep my T1 because the price of a new adapter for the T1 to use the battery would surely be less than $300 for the price of a whole new cera unit. If the T1 had the same battery life as the Cera I'm not even sure that I would choose the Cera over the T1. My biggest gripe with the T1 was the battery life/getting hot. Both of those issues would be remedied with the new batteries. I still really like the design/size of the T1, and I liked the function of sliding the switch up to heat the chamber, along with the different removable customizable mouth pieces. I also still prefer the look of the T1.

I would have to say being a user of all 3 systems from the old line (including the E-juice RES) that the clouds from the EJ Cart would look very much like the EO cart's clouds. They would be hard to tell apart IMO. I can't imagine they would look much different. I am however interested in seeing the loading method that is used for the new e juice cart. I am wondering what improvements may have been made in that area.

Alright, this is the follow up to the Pure Gold Demonstration. this video starts up exactly where that video left off. I am going to go out on a limb, before you guys see this, and just say... the performance from a waxy essential oil from the Cera seems adequate.

Once we get faster Internet on Monday (fingers crossed form Comcast to pull through). Vids will go up faster. We will also host our uncut full length videos via vimeo on our website. Should be up by Tuesday. That way folks can confirm there is no trickery on any of these longer performance demos we have to cut (I could not, can not, and will not attempt any volume over 0.1g in a Cera EO to be vaporized to completion in 15 minutes or less (length of a youtube video) someone who is better then me at vaping will have to post those.

This is the real deal demo, no BS, no gimmicks, no trickery. I want you to know what it will do. that is why we shoot these videos. We want you to know, really KNOW what to expect from the Cera. We want you to have expectations and we want to meet them. We'll keep shooting. It is an expensive device, we should prove to you it does what we say it will, in a way you could replicate easily, if we hope for you to own a Cera. We will continue to do everything we can to clearly describe the value proposition we offer, and the performance you can expect from he Cera.

I am not huge into oils, use them some, but do like to make bubble hash, and sometimes, if done properly come out with an almost full melt bubble hash. I am curious about which core this would be best in. I guess if there is any melting going on, it will be better in the EO cart?

OPA!

Batteries will continue to get better. There is a lot of T1 DNA in the Cera, but the Cera is fundementally different by design. thermal condom mitigates any heat issues, which are already reduced from the T1.

We offer LV T1 cores for use with an 17670 battery. That would give you T2 (lower power, better battery life) performance. You can email info@thermovape.com and just let us know what you want to do. It would be a battery, (charger perhaps) and the core.

Keep in mind that the T1 will not change over the next few years, it is what it is, however, battery technology is changing. Batteries will get better every year, much like computer processors. This is why we make a device wth a removable battery . It allows the device to evolve with the battery life.

We will not be making any new T1 parts. We have sufficient inventory to warranty the units on the market if needed and keep peoples T1's running until my daughter takes over the business in 20 years ;).

We cannot move backwards, only forward. Our commitment is to deliver the best product we can as soon as we can. The Cera is the best product we can deliver. it took us 4+ years to get here. Full steam ahead.

Cheers.

Is there any chance there will be an adapter to allow the cera essential oil heater core and mouthpiece setup with our pre-existing 510 battery configs? What's the current needs of cera? I can push 15W, or 20W with stacked 3.7V IMRs.
