Cheapish Level Entry Hash Vaping Home Unit - Possible?

Hello i have been looking through the forum looking for some answers to my questions but i thought it best to ask as i am still a little in the dark about whats best for me.
  1. Im self employed and poor at the moment due to a lack of work. I was looking for possibly the cheapest (max £50 - less would be great) level entry vapour. I will be looking at getting 'the best there is' next time i win a poker tournie though.
  2. Ive never seen weed round my way for about 10 years. It's all 'council hash'. Hard Rocky. So hard it breaks your teeth as you bite it. Mixed with petroleum or rubber or something. Awfull stuff but its all i can get. Sometimes the odd bit of Pollen. Never EVER any green.
  3. Home unit prefered as i dont leave the house even when i havent had a smoke.
Ive had to give up cigarette smoking after 30+ years on them due to health (and financial) reasons. Im on the ecigs and i quite enjoy them now. I have been off the hash for 3 weeks now as i was buying cigs to roll one up and i'd end up smoking half the pack just as normal cigs such is my resolve. Life without hash is awfull though. I have no reason to get out of bed and i cant concentrate on my work (web design)
Vaping hash seems like a perfect solution to my problems. Im not so sure though that all my boxes can be ticked. Can anyone advise me more?

Oh maybe i should mention i dont mind vaping or smoking it. Anything that doesnt involve cigarettes. I was never a one for a bong or hot knives etc and my knowledge of such isnt that great. Im not that good at making things, DIY or electronics either.

I take it your in Europe?...... You may want to consider a ssv or a Wychwood with a variable volt power supply to boost up the heat for hash. Any convection vape will work for hash though as long as they get to the right temp.

Yes sorry Puffers im in sunny Scotland. The place of bad hash and heart disease. I will go google your recommendations. Even i know a ssv is a silver surfer thingy lol

Lol..... Ya there's threads on all of them here. Ssv's lil bro the dbv can be had a bit cheaper but the ssv is a bit easier to stir and not worry about hash or pollen falling into the heater from what I hear. The Wychwoods are made not to far from you so may be a good choice. Log vapes tend to conserve more because of the small load size which is particularly conducive to hash for your situation also. The Wynchwood looks good Puffers but sadly at £140 its much more than i can afford. I really cant go above my budget for now as i simply dont have the cash. I looked at the ssv earlier tonight and they seemed above my price range too from memory. I will google 'convection vape' too. I was just worried that i was pissing in the wind and it was all geared towards a weed market.

Convection just means it preheats the air before passing over your herb/hash a conduction vape transfers heat directly to your hash/herb like a skillet for cooking a magic flight is a good example of this. If your really looking to just get something that will work on a tight budget maybe a gnome (another EU made product) or a Vapor Genie wood work in the mean time. They are flame powered so take a bit more work and technique but they would work for your needs,

Thanks Puffers. As i say i will be looking at buying something nice, money no object, once i get a poker win. For now though i just want to get puffing again (which in turn will help me with that poker win)

gmail is telling me you have since replied as i type this. Just to mention the 2 vapes i did see that seemed in my price range for now are
  • Easy Vape digital vapour
  • Glow Pro Vape
I know theyre hardly the best bits of kit in the world but i was wondering if they will do a job for me even if its just for a few weeks.

The gn0me website only seems to take strange foreign (lol) credit cards so i will have to give that one a miss. Your right though a portable one would at least get me going for now and then i can look at a 'proper' vapor later.

The Vapour Genie looks ok and i suppose it will do me if im ever on the move but me, dope and outside dont mix so i neednt count that as a positive lol

Well so far its the Vapour Genie i suppose. Amazon.co.uk too so i can sell it on my website and claim 5% back.

ill get my head down. Supposed to have been asleep but then i had this notion for 'ebongs' after thinking about how im smoking 'ebutts' after my ecig cartos never turned up.

All other thoughts appreciated.

Hey man, I don't know where abouts in Scotland your from but I'm certain there is skunk to be found, people have grows set up all over the place but I understand depending on age and life style it can be hard to meet new dealers. That soapbar is truly awful/headache inducing though. I've got a dabuddha which vapes hash very nciely but costs £140 so is out of your budget. I think your best bet is probably a torch based lighter. I got a vapo-bowl which you can get on ebay for £7.99 ( here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vapo-Bowl...acciana_Smoking_LE&hash=item35c1ce538c&_uhb=1 ) which produces lovely clouds with a cheap torch lighter and can easily be hooked up to some cheap acryllic bong. I find it a great solution for festivals and stuff.

While I haven't tried hash in it (haven't seen any pollen in a couple years and I get sooo bored of soft black its not worth me buying it) but I'd imagine that if your break it up quite finely it would vape quite nicely.

Just so you, you can't use that vapo bowl on its own, you have to connect it to any cheap metal pipe or bong, should fit righht own.

I feel for you man, i've only smoked council bar a couple of times we always managed to at least get that shitty gambo seaweed skunk thats always kicking about.

I agree with treeman, at that price point you will need to go with a torch based vaporizer if you want any decent performance.

The VG is a good option for the price. The lotus vaporizer is a better option but slightly out of your price range. And the vapman is another option worth looking into.

Just a word on the gn0mes... just email him instead of going through the website, and then you can pay through paypal or maybe bank transfer.

I'm from the EU and already purchased 3 times from him, and it was all good.

I think some of the options will be less good for hash since they can gunk up the screen. I would give preference to glass or metal vaporizers, that can be boiled for example.

Calen was also developing a concentrates pipe but i dunno if by concentrates he means hard not-so-pure hash or that moroccan pellets that you can take a pinch without heating it.

there is the essential vaaaap, which is far from ideal but is within your price range. It uses vials that you heat up with a lighter or, as I do, a candle.

Cheers chaps much appreciated. Ill have to read up. Truth be told after i went to sleep, no before i went to sleep, i reconsidered my options and realised that it would be probably best for me to raise some extra funds and get something electronic that will do the job. Ill just stick to some herbal cigs till then which is almost enough to want to give up doing anything. Soul destroying they are.

Thanks for the advice on the cheaper hand helds chaps. I think ill leave the hand helds as it would just be a waste of money for me. differant if i was a dude about town which im not these days. I'd end up getting wrecked in pubs also if i had a hand held. Crazy times would enshew.

I think i will get a debudha seeing as that seems to do the job. I was just worried about buying something that didnt do the job and i'd have to start hanging about with the Chinese trying to see if they had any weed.

Aye this council weed is shit treeman. My usual 'man' usually has decent pollen and the like. he never gets shit solid in but his prices leave a lot to be desired. I was smoking £60pw of his stuff when a £20 bit of council ssmoke would last me even longer. Again its all financial restraints.

I better get myself out of bed and see about winning money for my dabuhda i suppose. If i had smoke i'd have got up 8 hours ago :(

Isn't there an issue with Da Buddha for using hash? Since it connects horizontally instead of at an angle, you'd have to sandwich the hash between herb otherwise it would fall down on the wall.

Compared to the SSV, which has a slight downward angle. Much easier to do hash.
Wish they would offer an angled heater cover unit with the price of Da Buddha....

I agree SD haze, but otoh it is really easy to use something to tilt the buddha. You can glue some velcro on the bottom and some on a piece of wood and just put it there anytime you would like a SSB. :D

I agree with vorrange. I just have a small wooden "ramp" underneath my DBV that angles the heater perfectly. Even without my new ramp though, the DBV vapes hash easily between some organic cotton. Just don't "stuff" the wand full and it shouldn't be anywhere close to coming in contact with the ceramic heater or falling down the wall...
