There is some new silicone caps, minor firmware bugs have been fixed, and I may get a custom made plug for glass. We should see accessories coming. Yeah we didn't had a word from slide4less on the topic for a long time. The minivap is still a niche product I think. It is not really marketed and stuff. By the way they are busy on a new shop for the official website.

Thanks for the update. I have not had a chance to use mine much. I am wondering how much CBD the thing releases. I am sort of feeling like it does not release as much CBD as the other devices I have. It seems to do a better job at releasing the THC then the CBD. That would be good for most people... but for me it is a huge negative. When I use this thing I end up getting a jittery sativa like high regardless of the strain I use. I could throw my purest Indica in the device and I still end up getting a strong THC buzz off the device.

I love the looks and functionality though. Out of all the portables it is the nicest most well constructed one I own. It really is woth the price in terms of build quality and performance. I am still trying to figure out the temp thing and why I feel like I end up getting a Sativa THC like high off the device even with my Indica strains. More testing is needed.

I usually turn it up to the highest or 2nd highest temp. I almost always go straight the the highest temp.

Did you try it thru a water tool ? You can apply more pressure, that way, the temperature goes up, you get more of that CBD. Compared to the volcano, it feel like the minivap provides more CBD, cause its hitting harder and even making me sleepy.

I usually run it through a water tool. I would tend to agree that the MiniVAP does a better job at the CBD release then the Volcano. The Volcano gives me a Satvia like high that makes me feel like I have the jitters. Even if I turn the Volcano all the way up to MAX it still leaves me with a jittery high. The water filtration helps with the MiniVAP and I noticed the sedative qualities of CBD more then a direct draw from the silicone tube. It is a minor thing for me. I think I like more CBD then most people. I would be happy with an almost all CBD strain. I tend to find myself using the MiniVAP more during the morning/afternoon hours. It always impresses me the build quality when I handle it. It is in the top 3 in terms of build quality in my book. It just feels substantial in your hands... reminds me if the difference between an aluminum body camera and a plastic body camera. The aluminum just feels better in your hands. Same with the MiniVAP.

How do you connect it to your water tool ?

I sent that photoshopped picture to the company and they said me they may send me a custom upper cap who will look like that when they return my unit from repair (its packaged, I'm sending it on monday) after that, it may be commercially available on the new shop.

That would help allot. I use the silicone hose connected to a GonG adapter. It works okay, but there could be room for improvement. I like the looks of that.

I use the same method. It works but the setup routine is long and annoying.
I knew I was not the only one who needed that desperately. You can send a message to the company so they will know we are two, you can try to get one for yourself
BTW, I also feel that I need more CBD too, I always have to push the temp up.

SM - The effects you describe "jittery" seem fairly unique. I use mainly sativas and I do not get jittery. That must suck. I am going to see if I can get more info on the firmware update.

We cant release details about the firmware just yet, but I'll see if i can get back to you about any new accessories.

Yea I am pretty much a CBD user. I don't like the THC as much as CBD. It took me a long time to realize my preferences. The more THC and less CBD it starts to negatively effect my obsessive compulsive behavior. It also causes me to worry more about random things. I mostly stick to Indica or strongly Indica leaning strains. I have the best results with those.

That's funny I recognized my behavior patterns here Recently I noticed how much I like to consume AVB tinctures, as they're full of CBD.

My minivap is in his way to the repair service, I can't wait to get it back !

So here is a little bit about the updates

1. New cone cap made from silicone. Every vaporizer will come with 3 cones. The improvements are:
-the new version holds the tubing/mouthpiece firmly
-creates a better seal the loading chamber
-more room for the basket and liquid pad. It will be able to hold a bigger basket, that will be changed next summer.

2. New brush made with Tampico fiber, supports high temperatures & lasts longer.

3. Bigger silicone tubing, bigger diameter inside for a softer inhalation and bigger external diameter for 14.4 water pipes (this was a suggestion from several customers)

These 3 updates will be available in the new year

4. the last and most exciting new accessory is a new ring & tube for the loading chamber made from stainless steel (sold separately). This will increase conductive heating for more vapor, faster. This will hopefully be available sometime this winter.

In number 1, if the mouth piece has the same ID (internal diameter) as the one that originally came with the MiniVap you might as well throw it away. The mouth that came with my miniVap so severely restricts the air flow I thought something was wrong. I had been using my mini with with a bubbler (w/o mouth piece) and it worked great. Then I got my Cloud so there was a while that went by that I was not using it. It was not until I was traveling with my mini that I discovered (quite by accident) how restrictive the mouth piece was. I will never use my mini with that mouth piece again.

I hope the updated accessories will be reasonably priced. I have been looking at the AC adapter for my mini but the price has always deterred me. I mean, $150 really? All of the current accessories listed are exorbitantly highly priced.

Yeah 150 for that little piece, it's too much. That's gonna evolve for sure

My minivap arrived to the constructor, they said they were digging my videos by the way
It's tough to wait for it to come back. The volcano doesn't seems do the trick for sleeplessness compared with the minivap. I'm counting days for my precious to come back

Roger D - I guess you are going to be a beta tester for the new firmware. Let us know if there are any issues when you get your unit back.

My MV is on his way back ! I experienced their 5 star customer service, really generous as they're sending me a whole updated unit, with the new DECARBOX chamber, a brand new battery and free spare parts. They deserve a 10/10 for the communication and everything.

They confirmed me that they are R&D on a moisture conditioning extension. They have a couple prototypes but nothing finished for the moment.

Very exiting news indeed ! I will feature the updated unit on my channel soon

EDIT 1 :

I finally got the package yesterday.. That was an adventure, the DHL guy must smoke some really good stuff. He delivered to the wrong address, he dispatched it to an enterprise named bosch rexroth, at like a 20 minutes walk from my place. I had to get it myself back there, I had to talk to like 15 people on the phone, DHL and then bosch rexroth before I got the package. I got to their shop 10 minutes before it was closing. I've been impressed by their locals. I didn't knew some local enterprises were that huge. Stressful moment but the reward was sweet.

The new cap is still a prototype, it is designed to make a solid seal, maintaining the basket and the upper screen. When finished and commercially available, I'm gonna get one for each bowl, load and unload is gonna be super easy.

EDIT 3 : I'm puffin on it right now, its the best expenrience I ever had with mj.. The cherry on the cake at every exhale.

I'm thinking about selling my volcano guys, and spending it on accessories, spare battery for the MV, and an expensive bubbler. I couldn't imagine myself thinking about that months ago. The MV is so great.. It outmatches it, I wouldn't throw anymore herbs in something that doesn't gives me the full medication I need like the MV.

S.M, I really experienced the jittery effect you were talking about, being without the unit and having only the volcano to medicate, it doesn't matches with my internal hyperactivity, who needs to be slowed down. I was without unit for almost two weeks, and despite using the volcano on the max temperature setting I never achieved that inner piece I was seeking for.

It looks like it would be a pain in the a$$ tucking the screen bowl into that funneling piece. How much better does the new design work over the original? And do you know what the firmware upgrade does?

I'm exactly the same way. I find it tough finding that balance that keeps me effective yet medicated enough.

This is a really nice looking machine. I might have considered this over my Volcano when I was looking.

Not at all, it is super easy. There is a real improvement on the air flow and the seal. The decarbox ring makes even more thick vapors. The new firmware makes everything more handy, quicker startup and temp change. You can go from blue to red with (-)

I found another way to hit it, it is very conservative since you just take what you want from the herbs and they never get heated for nothing :


The MV have now so much ways of being used I'm amazed and it really is promising for the future accessories. I'm gonna keep on asking the manufacturer to make a whole set of different adapters and bowls They really listen and never stop r&d, the best is to come.

Seems to work well enough. I guess it is more expedient to use it w/o the cap on the top. Does one get a new cap with that larger diameter funnel piece?

I'm requesting for accessories that would allow everyone to vap bong that way properly

That is impressive the amount of vapor you got off that technique. I have been wanting to do the video review of this for awhile now. I can't get videos edited properly with voice till I get my new computer. Every time I pick up the miniVap I am impressed with how solid it feels.
