My medical card should be here any day, I've never smoked weed, and never plan to. I lift weights actively, and don't want smoke hindering my progress. Anyway, clearly I'm here to ask about vapes, and my budget is $100. It's not strict, but it's the price I've decided on. The two vapes I've found at that price are the Arizer V Tower and the Vapir NO2. It's just going to be something that will sit on my desk/nightstand, the NO2 is portable but I won't be using it publicly. Thanks in advance guys.

Never heard of that one, I assume you mean the Vapolution. But the fact that I've never heard of it is weary to me.

Just my opinion, but I prefer the Solo as a portable or home unit over the NO2. They're similarly price but the find the Solo to be a better unit giving tastier vapor with about 2x the battery life in roughly 1/2 the size package you're forced to tote around. It's also made in Canada instead of China and Arizer customer service is very good. The Solo can mate to glass easily and is an all around fantastic vaporizer in my opinion. I use, and impress, with it daily.
If I had to have only one vaporizer that I've owned so far, to double for both home and portable usage, it would likely be the Solo.
Don't get a V-tower, as the Extreme Q is the evolution of the V-tower and allows you the option of blowing vapor bags, which is always a good thing to have available for parties and the like. It'll only cost you 20 or so dollars for the upgrade, so I think it's well worth it.

Alright, since you've politely bumped my budget up to $150, that seems like a better plan, thanks. I'm either going to go with the Extreme Q or the Solo, they're both $150 new on Ebay from those guys that sell them in bulk.

If you vaporizer with lots of people at once, while at home, then the Q. If you only needed to vaporize at home and didn't mind being married to a wall outlet, then the Q again.

Solo for me as well. I own both, as you can see in my signature. My Extreme Q sadly just gathers dust in the closet, while the Solo handles most of my vaporization needs. Down the line you can always add the Solo power adapter, and then it really is like having a home vape.
I can't speak highly enough about this little device.
I have a Q and think it is great...but I do wish I had bought the Solo instead, sometimes...lol.
For my situation and yours may be simillar Jxd ?...I have a young one in the house, so I don't like leaving the Q out on show when she is about....I think the Solo would be a more stealth option, for me anyway...as I vape e-juice I always have my PV about, so the Solo may not look so odd, as what the Q does to her anyway...both are quality units though.

I do agree with you Stu, the Q is great and I do enjoy using it...I would imagine with the Solo you could just switch it on, allow it to heat up and then hit it and put it away...quick and simple.
For me...and I do appreciate everyone is different, I keep my Q and it's various bit's and pieces in a plastic storage box in the bedroom...when I want a hit, out comes the box...out comes the Q, it's power lead, whip, stir tool, remote control, grinder and my 2 weed bowls (1 for fresh, 1 for ABV)...and this is all pretty much laid out on the table...a quick hit, and it all has to go back in the box and back in the bedroom unless the little princess is in bed...then it's not a problem and I love the Q...but for me, for a quick hit while she is up and about, it's a bit of a chore sometimes.

I never used the EQ myself, but both have less breakable parts and are easier to use especially for a newbie from what I gather. I figure you'll only be using it for direct draw since you're considering the Solo too, right? Are you really that set on the EQ?

Crap, me too, but I guess you got here first 
Dammit, I forgot about Da Buddha. I'm going to go with the EQ only because I've heard some issues about the herbs falling into the heating element on Da Buddha, plus, we're talking $150 here. Worst case scenario I buy something else next month. Thanks for the help guys, I've decided on the EQ and will have it ordered by morning.

I think you're right. Comparing the EQ and Solo is difficult because they are very different, even though they're made by the same company. The EQ is a whip, or if you prefer, bag tape. You draw through a plastic tube from a bowl, either the cyclone or the elbow. The solo doesn't have a tube, you draw through a short glass straw with an airflow that's more restricted than the whip, supposedly to better concentrate the vapor. So the comparison between the EQ and Da Buddha or any number of plug in vapes would be more valid, since many use whips. There are several vapes that fill that general purpose, including logs, herbal air and vapolution. As far as I know, the solo is unique and fits a niche of its own for portability combined with flavor. I think the EQ is a good choice for a first vape ... and the Solo is a good choice for a first portable. (Just make sure to let the EQ heat a good 10-15 min before use ... with the glass bowl on top ... at least that was my experience to getting it to work well)
Edit: The one other consideration I thought of is ease of maintenance ... there's a lot more to clean/maintain with the EQ with ELB's, bowls, tubes, bags, screens, etc. whereas the Solo it's just the glass stems which clean extremely quickly/easily and the little screen you put in them. As well, if you don't need the big, thick hits a desktop vape can deliver, then the Solo is probably a good choice for you, as if it does the job with it's decently thick hits, it is one of the more versatile and easy to use choices.

I have never really had to heat my Q up that long....5mins or so, seems fine.
JCat is correct on the cleaning...but tbh, you don't need to do it religously....I let it build up for a little while and then when you do clean out the whip etc you can keep and use the reclaimed honey oil along with your next/current batch of herb....so I look on that as a bonus, not a chore...
