Ok guys I'm new to everything never smoked cigarettes :) only smoked a couple of times but love everything about marijuana. I looked into vaping and seems absolutely perfect,

So here's the question's I'm from the uk and being new I am looking for the best cheap vapouriser being new I don't know wether it's going to be for me or not so don't want to spend out on a pax or something for it to sit in the draw.

So looking for good and cheap

Doesn't need to be portable as only be used indoors by me and my partner. Wouldn't dismiss a portable either though

Look forward to any reply's and hi and thank you from me :)

If you don't need a portable I would recommend starting with a desk top unit. They are harder hitting, work in multiple modes (bags, vapor bonging, whip, direct draw etc) and are usually more user friendly (less learning curve) than portables.

My HerbalAire has been an incredible first vape. It has survived numerous drops from counter height and just recently, I accidentally had some liquid go back through it and it still works fine. It hissed and steamed for a bit while it dried itself out . . . just keeps on going and vape bonging with it is amazing. The price on the HA, even the 2.2 model, is very reasonable for everything it does, with the quality of materials etc.

Cheapest, decent option, might be a DaBuddha (I think they're a little cheaper than the HA's or EQ's for example)

here for the chicks
I suggest you look in to the Gnome if you don't mind using a lighter and being careful not to break a vape that's made out of glass.

It might not be the easiest to master for a newbie so I do advice you to read the thread and check out the vids to get some idea of how it functions and if that could suit you, but it's one of the most affordable (around 30 US$) and clean tasting vapes to my knowledge.

Since you're not converting from smoking and haven't used a whole lot of mj yet your tolerance should be fairly low, so I see no need for a big hitter to ruin that with to be honest.

Vaporgenies are very inexpensive but very functional. The coil is only $35. Somewhat tougher learning curve, imho, than a DaBuddah, log, or several other plug-in vapes., but it's not too bad. The Vaporgenie is definitely a solid inexpensive option that works. Never used a Gnome, but I'd guess that the learning curve is similar. Not sure how Vaporgenies compare to Gnomes in terms of cost.

For a first vape I will second the Da Buddha. You can get them new on Ebay as low as $120 brand new. You do run the risk of the warranty being void but, 7th floor has said that repairs only run about $25 if you ever needed them... So to me its a no brainer. I personally was converted from combustion to vaping using the Arizer Solo and that still has its place in my rotation for obvious reasons. But, once I got my Da Buddha it became my every day driver for a year or so and it could still be my daily go to vape had I not got my Underdog. To me the underdog is the perfect vape for ease of use and effeciency but, may be out of your price range. Matter of fact if you do decide on a log vape look into Wychwood vapes as they are based on that side of the pond and can save you money on the shipping and customs charges. They are also owned by a forum member just like the Underdog. With all the valuable knowledge I have gotten from these boards I try to support as many of the member run businesses as possible. But, thats another subject lol. Ok so I'm vaped and I started to ramble a bit. So back to the subject at hand. Da Buddha is a great 1st vape IMO and will suit your needs perfectly if you can get it cheap enough (maybe used from someone in the UK, also look into the SSV if ur going second hand as it can be had cheap if you look hard enough). If you can't get it cheaper than a wychwood though.. go with the log vape. They really are little gems as far as conserving your stash is concerned. I really hope that doesn't confuse you lol.

If your new to this whole game; the Magic Flight Box is probably all that you will need for quite a while. For users with low tolerances it is a very economical and versatile vaporizer. I'm usually not a huge fan of it because my tolerance was so high for so long, but certainly has it's place.

The MFLB has a learning curve that some users never figure out. That has been documented here. I personally got the MFLB and while I got the hang of it, just wasn't for me at all. Some people love the thing, no question. For a first vape though I would want something that more people have success with. I don't think anyone really fails at understanding the Da Buddha or a Log. And they can accommodate your needs and others if you end up sharing with a friend. Sharing the MFLB with someone inexperienced with it isn't very easy to do at all IMO.

I like the sound of these log vapes but can't seem to find them any models in particular a lot of good info here I really like it :)

I3 Eazy,
Have you thought about the Solo? My buddy has one as his only Vape and he loves it. Puffitup has them for 160, which is one hell of a good price.
On the other hand, the MFLB is a great first Vape. I've had one as my only Vape for 6 months and couldn't be happier. There is a learning curve, but it's not that bad. Fact is it will teach you a lot, lessons you can take to other, bigger units in the future if you like the whole Vape experience. (And if you really enjoy all that Marijuana has to offer, you're gonna love it)
If ya look around you can always find a MFLB,new in the box with all the goodies, for less than 100 bux.
Good luck on you're search and let us know how you're doing. Brave yourself and dive headfirst into a Brave New World....it's great!!

it's all about how you define 'good'.

I think the HA is good, found it really cheap on amazon, and it's got a very short learning curve.

As a UK buyer, I would start here, with the Vaposhop link (for 10% off) http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/retailer-discussion-discounts.1802/ , then look at their bottom 3 price ranges. In the bottom range I'd go with the VaporGenie, then the Magic Flight in the next, and the DBV in the 3rd. The VaporGenie doesn't get a lot of mention these days, but as long as you're willing to use a lighter and figure out your flame time, distance, and draw speed, it can deliver great hits. My introductory vape was much worse quality wise, and it was still enough to sell me on vapor. You should also consider the DBV at the high end, since the learning curve is much less, and if you decide you like vapor, it'll be all you need for home vaping. If you don't end up liking vaporizing, the DBV should be an easy resell for you.

The HA is also great at extracting all the "good stuff" out of lower class weed. I was shocked how many bags we got out of some schwag not to mention my AVB.
A lot of well informed folks can attest to the HA's ability to get every last bit out of your bud. In my book, that translates into damn good efficiency.
Not sure why the HA doesn't seem to get the attention it deserves.
Another plus is HA's warranty policies. My buddy got his from Amazon for like 150$ delivered. He was having a minor light issue so he called company direct. They told him as long bas he had the warranty card, and it wasn't a knock off they would take care of him.
That's pretty damn cool.
