got my shorty wpa in today and will give it a go in about 30 minutes! :spliff:

I used one PD stem's worth last night and got a good hit with a weak one after. The effect was good, but I think it works better on a two stem load, as far as extracting eveything. My three stem load worked great, which is what I used to use in a whole session anyhow, so much shorter sessions in line for me! The three stems worth looked close to what I had been loading by hand already. Then I double packed it way high...probably double what I normally use. Fuck me!!! Two super big hits that made me almost cough and a great hi. This thing is real good at quickly getting everything you would want from medium to large size loads.

I'm surprised more people don't have this vape. At its new low price of $190, I would think anyone who vapes through glass would have this in their arsenal.

vitolo...the air intake hole on the LSV HC is bigger than what I remember the air intake hole on my SSV HC to be...can you either confirm or disconfirm?

so far, the only difference I am sure of between this vape and the Cloud is the heat retention. The superior heat retention of the Cloud allows you to hit it as hard as you want and it always hits. With the LSV there is more finesse needed to get that milky hit. I expected this, as it was the case with my SSV as well. Without having them side-by-side, the LSV can hit hard like the Cloud, but you have to hit it just right. Regardless of whatever minor differences their may be, the LSV is a top shelf vape when used with a good bubbler.

I find the intake hole varies from HC to HC.

I've been a bit unlucky that my LSV has died twice (but 7th Floor hooked me up both times, so 'sall good ) and the 2nd time I got it back, I was having some trouble getting the hits I remembered.
I was having a look at the HCs, and noticed that the newer one had a bigger intake hole (approx 1/3 larger diameter). I switched them, and stopped having issues.

On my new black one I've never thought to check the HC intake though, It just worked well straight outta the box :D

I measured just now...
LSV HC against
SSV (spherical, GonG and Standard HC)
I found all to about the same.
On a side note, I have one SSV HC that does have a slightly larger hole than all others.. like Frederick McGuire pointed out~

Okay LSV owners couple of comments/questions.

Is there any way to keep my wand from dropping little bits onto the screen in the heater cover? I cant keep it horizontal the whole time, passing/hitting etc. It seems like each time I need to reload there is a good accumulation in there. It would be fine if I would just suck it out, but it usually needs to be loosened with a pick, and then tapped out. It doesnt impede the function but I am anal about these things, and have to clean it each time. I think this is why I am a happy Pax owner. Am I doing anything wrong?

Dont know if it is me, but the WPA either needs to be filled high, or the heat has to be cranked to higher than wand levels. I find I have to crank the heat or take crazy slow draws to see visible vapor in the chamber. I feel like this is due to the heating element being so far from the fill chamber on the WPA. I think I am going to try adding a screen to a 18mm male/male, since that will mimic the connection of the wand exactly, and it was recommended earlier in the thread. Man does the wand do work!

Just a note for those who are concerned about the heat. I feel like my Pax on high gets hotter than an LSV left at 3oClock (havent needed to take it higher) for a half hour (and yes I forgot it was on). It isnt hot enough to make me flinch when touching it, nor does it get hot enough to make me question setting it down on the floor or grip it to avoid a 'hot spot'.

Other than that I think I have made a fabulous purchase and I have actually had thoughts about getting a second one.

You can try drawing much faster , rather than slower at high heat with the WPA and see if that changes things.
I always use the bag to set down my LSV when it is on.
To prevent crumbs from falling onto the screen in the HC, start your hits upside down... this will "glue" your herb in place against the screen. (Better grade meds stay in place with application of heat best)

I do up my temps a bit with the WPA, but not much.

I go for 12-1 max when using an 18mm male connector (either the transfer wand, or a custom WPA), and 2-3 max (but usually closer to 12-1) when using my WPA.
I usually fill it at a minimum to where the top of the herb is level with the top of the screen pinches. I find this is enough that even after stirring/the load shrinking a bit during vaporizing, that the screen will always be covered.
(That's with the Short WPA, BTW)

Well it definitely works better with a fast draw and high heat, Thanks Vito!

I ordered the short WPA, the one I have is about an inch from the screen to the bottom frosted part of the lip. I think having the male 18mm cook it inside the HC is the way to go, although I havent got there yet.

Wow, you got it on Tuesday and didn't have your shipping info until after Saturday?
Oh, the waiting...
Yeah. It shipped a week before that but they didnt send me a tracking number, so I called. So I got the tracking number the day before it arrived. All in all, my custom blue and silver LSV took a few days less than 2 weeks from order to delivery.

I believe you are just "becoming one" with your tool....
the electronics did not change....
The unit in a subtle way, "conditioned" you... and your breathing became more efficient

i always crank it to max and just regulate with draw speed i used to do lower temp but when i want thick cloud it wasnt there. i love having it maxed then i pull quick for thinner hits and slow it down for that thicker hit you could just regulate with knob but whatever lol

Green goes to brown, n that's what I stand for.
just came in to say, I was a big skeptic at first when it came to combining vapes and bongs... but i used my LSV with my glass and it works amazingly. totally worth it. sun was shining in my window and the clouds I exhaled are my visual proof. my real proof tho is how i felt!

They basically upgraded it, offered a bunch of colors and cut the price almost in half. 7th floor definitely went in the right direction.
yes i agree the price is very good for such a sweet vape. also they they throw in a glass knob instead of the one you see in the photos!

Were you using a different outlet/environment than usual?

I notice sometimes when I'm at a buddies place, my LSV will seem to be running an hour or 2 hotter.
He's got some pretty funky power draw going on though, so I've always figured it had something to do with that

I made a custom WPA out of a 18mm male to 14mm male and 2 screens. The screens dont fit very well. I had to use 2 of them to keep it from sliding around. Anyway, after that was figured out, it works perfect. Much better than the stock WPA. The heat transfers much faster and I dont have to draw for so long. Wonder why 7th floor havent been on top of this. I need to look into getting a custom one made with the screen pinches.
