Thanks for the heads up!

You may really like these guys- the low anthem, saw them in Indy- in a small bar. When they started singing everyone got real quiet and just listened, kinda awestruck at first I think. It was great. Got to say hi, get the album & have a few beers.

You can kinda see how hearing that would make everyone shut up & listen for a few!

The music I listen to when vaping is truly all over the board! Here are some examples of current faves:

Amon Amarth- Under the Northern Star (one of my favorite melodic death metal songs. Truly deserves the description "melodic")
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LzjW--KUH1g

Bachman Turner Overdrive- Let it Ride (just a good, classic song)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j83xviHVmGg

Bear McCreary- Lords of Kobol/Worthy of Survival (my favorite modern composer)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eON5O5MRz5M
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ylzHr02ApBQ

The Beatles- Within You, Without You (no explanation necessary. lol)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ljnv3KGtcyI

Behold the Arctopus- Scepters (incredible experimental metal. Listen to the bass riff at 2:30. Mind-blowing)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7lGKQCs7RRQ

Bongzilla- Amerijuanican
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FqGOy6YapVw

Clutch- Spacegrass (a have never tripped out harder to a singular song)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NTuo1sSxCM4

Dalek- Paragraphs Relentless (some interesting rap. Opened for Tool this year!)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KvM5iVq5Nag

Damian Marley- Confrontation
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tXFpJrlgd7A

Electric Wizard- Funeralopolis (The height of stoner metal, in my opinion)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sO7VP34n2Ps

Heart- Devil's Delight
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=msO0FCqmkec

Mastodon- The WHOLE Crack the Skye album!

Necrophagist- Fermented Offal Discharge (Technicality at it's finest)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2SRD6mjrUMo

Nile- Annihilation of the Wicked (Whole album!)

Primus- Too Many Puppies
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j2zQKqgNAeE

Richard Wagner- Ride of the Valkyries

Rush- The Trees

ANYTHING by Six Feet Under!

Excuse the excessively long list! I have far too many favourites to name them all here :/

Hell yes! Annihilation is pure adrenaline fueled technical death metal bliss form beginning to end. Cant wait to see Nile live again for the 3rd time in november :D and i named my dog Amon because he sounds like Johan Hegg when he growls at cats  somehow i always manage to miss out on the Amon Amarth shows when they come by though, they're high on my list of bands i still need to see live.

A Wagner fan, very nice. Do you know any of his stuff besides Flight of the Valkyries? "Tristan Und Isolde" is probably my favorite opera.

The fact that you have seen Nile this many times makes me envy you good sir! They refuse to come to Canada! But I have been to see Amon Amarth once (in April) and I must say it was one of my favorite concerts! Now if only Nile would come to Alberta so I could witness the magic of Karl Sanders and George Kolias in person! I can already feel the insane 280 bpm on the bass drum pounding in my heart :)

Wagner is probably one of my favourite composers (followed closely by Giuseppe Verdi) and I am also partial to Tristan und Isolde! I'd say that I prefer his ring cycle (Gotterdammerung being my favorite), but I simply adore his musical style all-together. Glad to see another fan of dark classical music on the board ;)

danalee48,
If you can picture a combination of psychadelic rock, jam rock, funk, soul, heroin jazz, classical, and whatever you want to call Les Claypool and Frank Zappa, you have an idea of the music I like. And reggae that isn't performed by white people and, in general, was produced before '85. White-boy reggae is like nails on a chalkboard, as well as techno, and techno influenced hip hop, which is what 90% of hip hop has degenerated into.

Some great music to vape to:

Primus jazzy tommy the cat: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nLnsw7BY3n8

Cover of Codine by Quicksilver Messenger Service: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hhklHHMGPnU

Best Who performance ever: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1uMKPWvgjk0

Hey Devo, that Doomjazz is kind of interesting. You should dig up some live Zappa from the late 60's. You'd probably LOVE some Skerik, check this out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9BJ1UjpOBso&feature=related or in an older vein this elephant's memory track: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fC17RRpqAHk

I like really techy and complicated metal music (usually instrumental) while I'm high. Otherwise I just don't pay close enough attention since I'm baked and my mind is known to wander. I think thc just increases my OCD and ADD haha

I like listening to metal when im vaped too. There is something about being vaped that allows me to hear everything that is going on. Stuff that just sounded like an everyday type of metal song usually begins to shine for me, I notice all the intricate details and the melody and the likes. I never used to listen to metal until I started up with the MJ. I believe they go hand in hand
