Discontinued Omicron Vaporizer for oils

Really???? I worked very hard for 48 years every day to be sidelined by a permanent disability. My 401Ks, IRAs and other investments literally vanished in 2006. I sold my house and exhausted my savings to pay my medical bills and I've lived the last 3 years on $1264. a month from Social Security. My days of having a disposable income have passed.

It took me 6 months of stashing a dollar here and a 5 there to buy a v1 Omicron. My daughter bought me the HVD upgrade for my birthday. My son supplies me with the product to put in the Omi for free.

I don't want anybody's pity, but I also don't want to be talked down to either.
i do understand pain and poverty, and i don't think anyone was pitying you. i think OF was merely trying to say the same thing i was, which is that your statement "disposable income" is kinda a misnomer and his reasons why. i don't think he was talkin' down to you, but i do think you were talking down to me implying that i was somehow undeserving and that you weren't, just how it came across. the fact that i pointed this out and you have skipped by (for the second time) to take offense at OF indicates that you believe we should pity you and care about your feelings while you disregard others. i tried to point out that we don't know each other's story so don't judge. OF was merely doing the same. you can take some issue with his tactic, but to use that to completely dismiss his points seems intellectually dishonest. i find often that people find any disagreement or critique to be an offense, maybe this is what is happening here? am glad you have family who takes care of you like mine has done for me. i was very happy to be able to provide my mom with medicine during her illness. wishing you a pain free day.

on another note, if there is someone affected by sandy who is in desperate need of a device or batts, hit me up. will donate one device w/ batts to the most needy. probably just an hvd unit, but something's better than nothin'.

Would it have been better if I had added a stupid smilie face to my comment?

probably not, but the same sentiments would probably still have been expressed. but once again, i am not trying to be pretentious or condescending, yet you are inferring such. you are saying (now) that you meant that statement w/ the context that you hold no ill feelings towards me for my collection, which, yes, would have been expressed by a winking face. you are angry at my misinterpretation, yet you are doing the same by inferring my intentions to be condescending and pretentious, when actually it was in defense of an inferred accusation by you. how is my "crime" any worse or different than yours?
you have only now expressed this, which i am immediately addressing. you chose only now to bring this up while still previously dismissing any of your own responsibility in regards to our misinterpretation. (that enough armchair psych for ya, lol?)

can we please move on. yes, you sounded like a whiny baby who begrudges others their lot. it sounded petty. this not what either i, or OF said. we tried to bring more perspective to the situation. whether you meant it that way or not, i don't understand blaming us for our inference. sorry again, for your troubles, but again, i can afford this due to losing my parent, so it isn't nice, and still would have stung, but you are correct. there might have been less "tone", but as you said, you didn't take responsibilty for your tone, but asked if the face would have helped in a way that implies that it is our fault completely for this. and once again you take one line out of paragraphs of communication to pick on. not a lot of context or perspective in that assessment. i'll own up to mine, can you please do the same, or drop it?

Way to reply with both condescension and pretentiousness.

mod note: Way to break the 'Be nice' rule.

guys can we stop the bs, and move on?

Seriously i dont want the thread about our products turning into a flame war.

The V2 is what it is, and will get the Hercules Herb cart for it. I am trying to make the herb and oil cart work with it, but that will take time and im not going to stop for that reason so On November 15th The Hercules 3.7v will be released if last round of testing goes right, and we will see about getting oil to work on the Omicron later on down the road.

On a side note, im not going to be available until the 12th of November.

Fine by me, but I get a chance to respond, too. Fair is fair.

I want to second what Bob said. And again.

My hope still stands, I sincerely hope the OP (and everyone else) works hard and spends well and gets to enjoy the fruits of their labor. I understand that doesn't always pan out, but it doesn't change the hope. And I surely don't begrudge anyone's choice how to spend their own money, and don't believe any man should.

Thanks for the advise Bob.
I was just wondering, am I fucked if I put Amber Glass (Space Queen) into a 1.5 ohm cart?
I'd like to think I'm decent with priming and filling a cartridge so I know that I put .5g (max) into the cartridge without getting any in the airflow but even if I heat it up until it gets super hot while inhaling everytime, I'm not getting any vapor out of it what-so-ever. This never happened to me before and it is a brand new cartridge. I have pre-oxidizied it along with seeing the heat element every time I take off the cap so I'm guessing that its the Amber Glass and I just wanted to get a confirmation before I throw it away.

if the cart gets hot after 5 to 10 secs, then the cart isn't the prob. it's the shatter. much harder to move in the carts. it's good you have it in a 1.5 ohm. i would suggest upright in oven at no more than 150 deg. or a hair dryer, but give it time. the shatter always takes me much longer to move down the cart. it's also easier to get air pockets. having it angled a little while melting down can also help. the reason i suggest low heat and long time over increasing heat is the risk to the seals, however if you are confident in your technique and heat application, just keep at it a bit more. let us know how it goes and good luck

My apologies if the answers to my questions have already been stated in this forum. Unfortunatly my internet time is very limited and I don't have time to search past posts and forums for my answer.

Is the G-Tank or any the TV Dart compatible with the Omicron v2? Do they use the same threads? If not what type of converter is needed?

And if they are able to be used with the Omicron does anyone have any positive experiences with them? Really interested in knowing if the G-tank will work or not.

Also.. anyone happen to know an ETA on the colored HVD's?

G-Tanks will work with an adaptor, TV stuff requires a Persei I believe. You need a 601 male to a 510 female adaptor. You can also order the G-Tank under its actual name, ego-w, from delta9vapes.com for half the price of a G-Tank.

tv did have a lv dart for the omicron, but they are totally switching their product line currently so you may have to wait on ordering, unless you have a local connection.

Arent the omicron cartriges duil coil carts since there is a coil inside the ceramic cup thing and one around it also?
Meaning its resisting twice as much as one coil. So technically a 2.4 ohm cart is resisting at 4.8 ohms right?

A couple of days. Fast. No different that what you might hope for for a domestic shipment of the same length. Several times.

You're welcome and good luck with the wait.....IMO it'll be worth it. Great supplier IMO.

Correcting (i think) a couple of the spellings first. I think you meant "cartridges with dual coils"? And "Meaning it's resistance is twice as much as one coil"?

In that case, 'yeah, sorta' is the answer I think. Each coil is about 4.8 Ohms, they are the same value we're told but don't need to be to make the total work. Two equal resistors in parallel (like these guys are) have a total resistance half their individual values. So the two 4.8 Ohm coils appear as a single 2.4 Ohm resistance to the outside world.

Welcome to the fun discussion of a neat product line. Nice of you to jump into the deep end so quickly.

I have a question I've never seen directly addressed.

Using the stock Omicron V2 charger,
rdVY0.png

I was never sure about combining batteries to charge.
Is it okay to charge the 14250+spacer and the 14650 at the same time?
Two 14650s at the same time but they're at different charges?

Separate question:
My 2nd 14250 I got somehow died. Gets no response from the charger.
Any idea on what would do that to a battery? (so I don't do it again, if it was preventable)

-thank you!

I see noting wrong with the idea, in fact I think the charger current is too high for that little guy as it is. Making the charger 'share current' can only make that part better.

If you're going to use the little guys a lot I suggest buying a charger with a lower charge rate for them.....or some spares as it will mess them up eventually.

Over discharge is probably what 'killed' the battery. And it may not be really dead, leave it in the charger for a while it may well 'trickle back up' in charge enough to be recognized by the charger and trigger the charging cycle. In the future don't run it so flat to avoid this problem.

You're very welcome, I hope it helps.

Im still using my omicron v1 refilled the cart for a 2nd time a while ago its not clogged in the middle i usually stab it with a paper clip but anyone got a fix or something so i can get nice air flow coming through again?? and does anyone have any mods they do with thier mouth piece i remmeber the MFLB tube in the rubber trick but i dont have a mflb straw anymore any other nice mouht pieces to make

Don't hold the button down without drawing air through first. After a long session continue to pull air through after your last hit to cool the concentrate from the inside leaving the air path clear. You also want to fill no more than one gram at a time, overfilling will cause clogs as well.

www.vaporpedia.com/wiki/omicron has answers to any question out there.

i find gently blowing thru from the thread end while warm helps to clear it.

you can also use a glass dropper in place of an mflb stem or, put the big rubber silicone mouthpiece on it and then a a piece of clear whiplike tubing from there to your mouth

Bob, I flashed on an image of you with an Omicron cart between your 'ruby reds' puffing on it like a stainless steel Marlboro while waving your Zippo under it...... That's a scary image for first thing in the morning.......

What the man just said. Let me point out that's one gram at most total. Don't add a gram to what's already there. I load half the gram (sometimes a bit more) into new carts, then add another half when I'm within .250 grams of empty (meaning never more than .750 grams worst case). G suggested it I think? Since then I don't think I've had any leakers except PG of course.

Tell ya what, I've got some bulk of the acrylic tube MFLB uses, send me your name and address in a PM and I'll mail you a couple of pieces to mess with.

Not to mention if there's a guy around here likely to try it, bet you shaved his face last time......

Yea sorry about the spelling problems.
If people are wanting to use ohms law to figure out what watts there using they will have to do the math like a dual coil.

I have some gripes with the design of these cartridges.
The second coil that goes around the ceramic cup heats the oil so much it looses its flavor after a few hit and is like smoking reclaim. After using a different cartridge I see that coil isnt really necessary if the design is changed up.
Being made along the design of these
http://www.evcigarettes.com/product_images/uploaded_images/kanger-horizontal-coil-cartomizer.jpg
But with a metal airtube instead of that plastic or fiberglass or whatever that is.
The main thing is the v shape slits were the wicks come from the sides.this allows plenty of oil into the heating element and just hitting it brings the heat up enough to heat the oil in the cartridge bringing it down.
Then you will also not have to draw as long to get a decent hit. Which will save battery life. And the flavor wont be compromized by heating all your oil evertime you hit it with the extra coil.
The only down side is you will vape your oil a lot faster and cant claim hundreds of hits per gram.

Im just posting this here cause I wish thcscientific would make cartridges like these so I dont have to use those that may have plastic in them.

I started with a 900 mah ego twist battery, adapter and a omicron 2.4 ohm cartridge. I had to turn the twist up to 4.6-4.8 volts just to get some decent vapor.and the first night I had it I brought it fully charged to a concert.4 hours into the 8 hour event it died leaving me with nothing to smoke for hours.
Im using those other cartriges at 2.0 ohm on a regular 1000 mah ego battery now cause I dont neen a higher voltage and it lasts me at least 2 days of heavy use before needing charged.
