Wow,TOTALY bitchin'! Pretty unexpected also. I was expecting another re-work of the T-1 but with cupholders, night vision and possibly a whip-based enema rig.
Seriously though, you folks are have always been on the bleeding edge of design and function, and I'm sure the Cera will follow that ethos. Hell,I know next to nothing about Cera, but I REALLLLY want one!
Great job, seems ya hit another one outta the park!

I am very curious on what advantages the titanium version will possess

also 199 is a great price if it performs as well as it sounds it will

Edit: Also do you guys still sell those little fishing poles? If so is there a discount for a combo pack? Lol

adapters for all cores to work on 510 threaded batteries

PLEASE make 510 parts.... no adapters please. Some of us would like to use your amazing carts with different batteries and adapters just suck!

I decided to hold off getting a few spare DARTS..... if you are not going to make this in a 510, how does one order the DART.... I know about the convoluted AVA/REV purchase, but seeing you changed the website, the old stuff is not available?

And for my next trick, I shall make $250 disappear from this ordinary, everyday wallet. I am stoked about this one, Thermovape IS the cutting edge when it comes to American made vaporizers. My hats off to the genius of your team, I know it feels good to work with a progressive team, you guys must have a blast together.

OF has been VEEERY quiet about this, I would not be surprised if he has had his hands on one of these babies. C'mon OF, just a little info, I know you're holdin'.

For very good reason, I've noting informed to say. I've never seen one, let alone tried it out. We're looking at photos of the first one, I suspect soon some of us 'usual suspects' will get a chance to try it out. Be confident I'll be as honest and open about what I find as possible. Sometimes makers ask that you keep things confidential as you might guess, which IMO is reasonable to ask and if a guy agrees he's duty bound to keep it under his hat. I'm buoyed by the history with TV where they've asked me to keep some details confidential but be open and candid about what I find by testing.

Trust me guys, when I've got something useful to say you probably won't be able to shut me up.....try as you might.

This is tough, they're 25 miles away, I know where the back door is. Who needs an invite, anyway? Maybe I was just in the area and had a flat tire....walked over to use the phone?

well, I wish I had the $ to throw at this one right away, but things need to improve for me before I can justify the next big purchase... Looking forward to seeing the details unfold though. Who knows, miracles do happen, I might stumble into the right situation to try one, I won't completely dismiss the idea. If I do, you know I will be here to post about it. I would like to see the silver, and would LOVE to see it in black.

No, titanium or stainless steel for the metal bits. Ceramic on most of both.

I think that's the issue OF,you only speak and deal in FACTS,and you can use FACTS to prove anything that's even remotely true.:science:
As a relative rookie in the vape world I have had the pleasure of using exactly 2 vaporizers in the last 10 years. This gives me the wisdom to judge something I have seen in one photo and a few vague paragraphs. So I can say with 100% certainty that the Cera is the greatest thing mankind has ever produced. It will have a 0% failure rate,be on the shelves by Monday and by Christmas the price will drop to $20 with the FC discount.
See how easy that was? Facts are sooo overrated.:smug:

OK, time to make some wild guesses, ask more silly questions, and make some observations. Here's a the picture of the Cera again. Click on it to make it a little bigger:

Cera.jpeg

Let's speculate about the mouthpiece. Interesting tiny "nipple-like" end. I wonder if this part is the actual mouthpiece or not though; pretty small to suck on. I wonder if it's ceramic too (since it looks the same, and Tim has mentioned that the entire vapor path is ceramic). And just below that (to the left of the mouthpiece in the above picture), an interesting "cap" part; looks like that's where the load goes. Wonder if it unscrews or is just a press fit. Look carefully at it; does it look like maybe it's tapered such that it would fit directly into a glass piece for use with a bong? Yet if it's ceramic, that doesn't make for as nice an airtight connection as Delrin/PTFE/O-Ring though. And speaking of O-Ring, note the channel around the circumference near the right end of the "cap" and to the left of the mouthpiece; is that maybe for a fat O-Ring so that the Cera will make a great connection to one of the TV glass pieces (like my T1 glass mouthpiece) or a bong?

Before we move on from the "cap" part, I wonder if the actual heating chamber is mostly below the cap and the inside of the cap part is mostly for the load. And I also wonder if there is any external visible difference between the herb and concentrate versions of the Cera.

Anyway, moving down (left), hmmmm, four sets of two holes at 90° from each other. Air intake, for sure (?), but why is the top hole smaller than the bottom hole in a given pair of holes? And then there's the button. I assume the power button. And Tim mentioned something about the rating for the "non-illuminated" version of the button; does that mean there's an illuminated version as well? And a safety interlock for the button? Where? Or is the bottom somehow involved as OF speculates? Maybe Tim will illuminate us with actual on/off/safety instructions, once he gets some sleep and gets a break from working in the shop.

Moving down (left), there's a nice taper for the hand (Hi Jam :)) and a metal bottom, also appearing to be threaded into the main body. Is this the way to change batteries? (Unscrew the bottom metal piece and get access to the battery). And look carefully at the very bottom (all the way to the left in the above picture). What's that all about? It's obviously a smaller diameter from the rest of the metal part of the bottom "cap". I can't even begin to speculate if it's only cosmetic or if it serves some greater purpose that we can't discern from the single picture we have.

And for an actual specific "Tim" question, can you give us a brief description of the advantages and disadvantages of the stainless steel versus titanium Cera. I know that the weight and thermal characteristics are very different, but don't know how that impacts the Cera. And I don't recall if there's a version with all ceramic, and (essentially) no stainless steel or titanium.

Isn't this fun!

Okay, bottom aluminum cap screws off, battery, button is the power button, holes are for air intake, I see a round part after which I assume is heat shield/RES if that's the e-juice kit, and mouthpiece inside...

Tease me some more, Tim
Methinks this might be the e-cig unit? I want to be wrong! Maybe that's the flower unit. I can't stop looking at it.

well it looks like the button that activates with body electricity (why the end is metal) your body completes the circuit. I could be wrong, but this is what the sabortouch uses, and it looks very similar. If that is what this uses, it's good, but you have to have bare skin so gloves are a no go.

I was thinking of pointing that exact thing out, however I figured I was just crazy and medicated :p I'm glad you mentioned it

Tim, when you say "essential oils" does it also mean that it will do the Indian-variety hash? The one that's hand-rubbed and contains some plant material? I'm talking about Malana cream and other such soft varieties.

And will the Cera be modular as the earlier TV series?

No, that's not it. Support for that 'touch switch' means electronics inside, something not in keeping with the TV business model. I believe it's metal (most likely Nickle plated Aluminum) since it's the actuator for the main switch which is mechanical. Remember, we asked for a switch you don't have to hold on with your thumb.....

It's OK to enjoy your medicine.
My girlfriend just walked past and asked me why I was looking passionately at vibrators.....
Orgasmic? Yes. But I doubt it vibrates. (but who knows...)

Cer-ram-ic va-por path. I like how that sounds. Rolling up my pennies as I type. GO TET.

gotcha, well that easy then, titanium all the way. can we get an adamantium version?
It pretty much is, from what Tim's said so far, it sounds like it's made of zirconium ceramic (exceptionally strong)

EDIT: "Comprised of a stabilized structural ceramic that is as clean as glass, as strong as steel, and nearly as hard as a diamond."
Google "stabilized structural ceramic" and see what you think, that stuff looks like it'll work quite well.

Lol....! I was wondering when the first dildo/vibrator reference would happen!
Pretty sure the wife will let me get one a.s.a.p.,as long as they make one "Ribbed for her pleasure".

i have a feeling that the mouth nipple presses down like a volcano mouthpiece which in turn activates the power. definitely could be wrong, it's happened before, but it's my guess for now.

that is pretty nifty!

Yep. Clay really. You'd be surprised how many things it ends up in. Serenity's got more than a few ceramic parts in her.
