The song that i'm lovin @ the moment "Whip it" by devo, funny didn't think that much of it in the 80s, but now when i'm vapin(no more couch lock) I put this on loud and move around like a teeny, The older i get the more i value fun and spontaniaty, especially doing cannabis the right way at last.

And Jesus should have said 2 thousand years ago,You have one herb for medicine and joy, with only two way's of using it , Eating(with the help of alchemy) or Vaporisation.

Cannabudz, you summed up pretty much exactly what I'm looking for (and hoping for) in the vaporization experience. Smoking irritates my lungs/body, no question, but it would be manageable based on what I get from the herb...IF that was the only way of going about things. So yeah, smoking irritates me...but what gets me down these days is the fact that I seem to have more or less constant couch lock. I don't cope well without Cannabis...maybe I could get used to it, but I don't know, I've been there and I'm trying to deal with one problem at a time, so I won't attempt to attack the most benign and beneficial part of my lifestyle (for the moment)...but lately I've always been feeling the soporific, couch locked, heavy head and lethargic body aspect of smoking my herbs. I like that some times...but I miss those times when Cannabis didn't just help to get me through my shit; the times when it also used to give me the most transcendental, creative and spontaneous bursts of energy and motivation. A little dip into the brighter side of life, if you will. I still get that sometimes, but most of the time I can't get my shit done. I end up feeling heavy and I get too distracted/lethargic to go through with my previous intentions. Motivations abound...yet my ability for action is compromised by my love of, need of, possible abuse of, THE herb. I've learned more about combustion and now understand that some of that feeling is caused by your immune systems response to the poisons/tars/et cetera in smoke, so I'm hoping that at least some of what I've been experiencing will go away, and I can go back to living an active (but still emotionally/spiritually healthy, with the help of missus MJ) lifestyle. Thanks for giving me a little more hope, Cannabudz!

Oh yeah, the other thing I'm really looking forward to is the taste...
Smoking always masks the taste for me these days...no matter what style I use (joint/bong/pipe/what-have-yous), so I'm really looking forward to "pure flavor". Ooooooohhhh yeah

I love listening to allll sorts of music, so this is a toughie question. Some never-fail type of stuff that comes right off the top of my head would be:

- Pretty much anything by Stereolab (such pretty, melodic, devilishly syncopated, well developed music)
- Pretty much anything by Frank Zappa and crew (space melodies, out of this world rhythmic experimentation, counter-sound and plain old weirdness, plus the occasional ripping guitar solo)
- Most music by Steve Reich. Specifically: Music for 18 Musicians and Drumming.
- My personal Aphex Twin favorites. His discography is divided for me, but the right stuff is right on, and it's very cohesive to an altered consciousness.

Like I said, I like music so feel free to believe that this indeed the short list of all short lists. If only asked for one, I would invariably recommend Steve Reich's Music for 18 Musicians. Among the most thrilling pieces of organic music I've ever heard to date. If it's your thing, I'd reccomend skipping the vape (for the moment) and taking a medium sized dose of our fungal friends then listening to Music for 18 Musicians. Not to sound TOO cliche...but it'll blow your mind, dude.

I only heard the term couch lock a couple of month's ago, but iv'e been livin that shit for a very long time, And i'm stoked it's changed without having to give up the substance i enjoy so much, It made giving up the technique (burning/smoking)so much easier, I don't think there's anything unique about my experience's but i'm glad to share them freely and if other's find that of value good O, When i first signed up here i had no idea i'd be sharing so much, I'm just goin with the flow and enjoying the ride.

Back to the music, sublime "scooby snack's" but iv'e got access to about 2000 album's so it's hard pickin fave's, oh yeah a must listen every now and then everlast "ends".

i have like 4 other bands that i like but this one comes out on top... i love their use of folk vocal technique with historcally based lyrics and medieval sounding musical parts... no other band comes even close in my mind.. falconer is just perfect

Okay CB, I see you're actually listening to/watching/responding to what people are offering up, and personally I think that's too cool, so I just can't resist linking you to some stuff. If that's the concept of this thread...I sort of missed it in the beginning. Maybe it's more about sharing/talking about music, but you're the only one doing too much "talking" thus far. If indeed you have begun a thread that is simply about sharing any music, and that's just how open minded you are...then kudos, once again, to you my friend. I wish that I could say the same for myself, CB. I wish I could just share and explore music casually. Musically I am so fucking jaded it is barely even funny. Just a little funny, I guess. It's like freaking pornography...I feel like the dirty musical corners I shuffle around in are always getting further and further away from the mainstream opinion of what's desirable. Constantly grasping backwards at artifacts left in the historical sediment can't be helping the situation either...but that's the point, or one of many rather. Music is spontaneous and imbued with life; cultural "artifacts" in general and the preservation of music specifically are both mundane and terrible (in the good-ish, awesome sense...like Rilke's angels, if it means anything to anybody else). That's the price of, or maybe the fetish of, recording technologies...you're left always searching for that frozen moment, that diamond, buried in the rough. It's both sublime and futile. To a degree. Hmph.

Anyway, rambling...must stop vaping so hard before posting...riggggght. The point is that sharing music like this can be great and such a thrill, and I truly do wish it was easier or more casual for me.
