cool movies to watch vaped

I don't know if anyone watches the G4 network, but I have found that even though it is ostensibly for "gaming" they show a lot of interesting stuff.

Case in point: The movie "Super High Me" which is a kind of spoof of "Super Size Me" but with cannabis. It is based on a joke by a stand-up comedian and was broadcast on 4-20, but I DVRed it and watched it last night.

An outspoken heavy pot-smoking comedian, Doug Benson goes without pot for 30 days, then spends 30 days completely stoned all day, every day. All of this is done with several doctors involved, testing his physical condition and emotional/mental state before, during and after.

The results are interesting and extremely funny. He gets his card and goes to various dispensaries in Los Ganjales and Oaksterdam so he can partake legally. He also visits Minnesota. Vaporizing is featured prominently, with his first post-abstinence high using a volcano (first time and he loved it). He also combusts A LOT.

One of the real highlights for me: He is vaping with a whip-style box vape in a dressing room with Sarah Silverman and some other comedians while Dave Navarro sits there and plays guitar. In a word, awesome.

A few other comedians weigh in on the project along the way.

A lot of good info on medical MJ is delivered, including the paradox of feds busting legal dispensaries (because they can) and taking not just the herb and equipment, but the patient records. THAT is scary there!

Definitely worth renting on DVD since the on-air version is censored (language.)
Highly recommend this. Not a classic, but very definitely entertaining, especially high.

It's on Netflix instant streaming if anyone has that.

I liked it as well, although I wish the "science" parts were a little more scientific, lol. Like his tests and doctor visits didn't seem to be timed that well.

Probably the most interesting for me was the issue with the federal government. Yes that was messed up!

Just watched it and been using a line for a few days now. Pot just makes everything more awesome. :D

Ya great movie. I was glad when I saw the results of the sperm count tests. I was so freaked out reading about how weed reduces sperm count but in his test it actually went up! I also love the part about mcgriddles, Its so true! Btw though this probably should've been put in the movies while blazed thread instead of making a whole new thread.

I love John Waters' movies from the very early one with the giant lobster, to A Dirty Shame.

If you like Pink Flamingos, Female Trouble is another good one that's very funny!

I also liked Desperate living with the trans character, the cop in panties, and the hilarious part about Gertrude Stein!

In college I once had a Pink Flamingos party where I put black nailpolish on my fingernails and toenails while drunk on screwdrivers and I should have served chocolate h'orderves and chocolate pudding.

I was not smoking at all during this time so my friends smoked some herb but I didn't have any.

Unless it's a movie that I really like or I'm in a theater after partaking I don't normally watch movies while high.

I did see the movie 187 after smoking and that was good.

Just watched Adventureland while high last night, really enjoyed it! Very funny, I actually had it made out to be a stupid movie but it had a pretty decent storyline.

Thought-provoking/scary: Any movie by David Cronenberg. I just saw Videodrome while supremely high, THAT was pretty crazy! Also watched The Fly the other day, classic Cronenberg gore. I also have Naked Lunch but I'm skeptical to watch it, apparently it's pretty messed up.

I tried to watch Clockwork Orange once but I chickened out after the first 30 minutes, too sketch for me.

As a coincidence I watched Female Trouble a few nights ago and although I enjoyed it, I felt it did not have the performance wavelength or the depravity or the humor of Pink Flamingos.
Also I feel that this movie marked the "taming" of John Waters to an extent - he started turning the dial down from that point. I read an interview with him once and he said that in retrospect there are parts of PF that disturbed him. He wrote a sequel to PF called "Flamingos Forever" but ditched the idea feeling that if it was going to exist it should be depraved as the original and that he didn't have it in him anymore to go in that direction.

jeffp,
I watched a neat little movie that Talking Heads fans might enjoy. "True Stories" is about a small town in Texas and its peculiar inhabitants. Lot's of Talking Heads music, and David Byrne is sorta like a tour guide of the town. John Goodman is in it, and his character is awesome. Lots of weird, slightly awkward jokes in this movie. You can stream it on netflix.

i watched it before but last night i watched super high me, first half un-vaped and then paused it, got vaped, waiting about 10 minutes and then continued it...that was fun. also a few weeks ago i watched zach galifinakas (purple onion) while vaped and it was really really funny.

:peace:

3 times now ive watched episodes of i shouldn't be alive (i like the show) while vaped and i dont highly recommend it, especially if someone in the story does not make it out. :(

Watched this the other day out of boredom and randomness with a friend while we vaped. it actually turned out to be a pretty decent movie, which is something my cynical ass is normally reluctant to concede. but pretty much every Norwegian movie i've seen has been good, come to think of it (Dead Snow, Max Manus, maybe another im not remembering...)

.. Anyway, the movie is kinda like Cloverfield, in that its shot in that documentary sort of way. but you actually see the trolls and stuff more, and the CG is quite well done, the lighting effects in particular were superb, so they didnt stand out like CG in most movies does.

highlights of the movie for me were:

the part where the hunter dude comes running at the camera dude in teh forest and then stops and is just like "..TROOOOOOOLL" lol, it interrupted our vape session with some LOL

the christian blood bait

the dude getting owned by the one troll when trying to get a blood sample with the (unnecessarily) huge syringe thing.

more part that i just forgot cause we spent the whole movei vaping.

so if you dont mind foreign films (reading subtitles or listening to silly dubs), definitely check it out.

i didnt even know they made a sequel to this movie, passed right under my radar. i thought it would be your standard shitty sequel thats nowhere near the level of originality of the first, but it was a good movie. I love the first-person helmet cam parts, and it made the movie feel very survival horror FPS inspired (like killing floor meets L4D).

(i should note its a spanish movie ... as in from spain)

Enjoyed the movie thoroughly, there wasn't enough dialogue to make it bad subtitle read. Imma have trouble deciding whether this or Hobo with a Shotgun is the greatest movie ever after so many others..

I watched an incredible documentary last night called "Home" about the history of the planet and what lies ahead regarding the environment. It was visually stunning, amazing and breathtaking. It will change the way you view the world we live in. Incredible to watch with a stoned open mind and it concludes on a positive hopeful note.
It's free on youtube - here's the link -
but it's the kind of film that you would want to watch in the highest quality a second time so I would consider ordering a DVD of it. I saw it on the "Pub D Hub" Roku channel and that was perfectly fine but this is a very special movie.

Its funny because I watched Benson's inhalations over and over in this film and it looks like he really isn't inhaling. He takes a puff and just lets all the smoke out of his mouth. Good doc nonetheless.

If you have NetFlix and haven't seen it, check out Frank Zappa's 200 Motels. But get very vaped before you watch it. It's a completely mind blowing surrealistic odyssey of a band's life on the road. It is without question one of the most stoned movies ever made. It's perfect with ABV brownies - and that was verified this evening.

Grizzly Man if you're in the mood for great nature scenes and a tragic ending, or any james bond movie with moore or connery.

The Thing With Two Heads is very entertaining; there's some funny back and forth between Rosey Grier and Ray Milland on the same pair of shoulders. The Rutles movie, I think it's called "All You Need is Cash" is a funny and brilliant send up of the Beatles. Wait Until Dark is a fantastic 60's mystery thriller with Audrey Hepburn and Alan Arkin is completely menacing. Arkin is also fantastic in Glengarry Glen Ross as a frustrated but benign real estate salesman. American Beauty is also a great movie to see. Also, check out My Life's in Turnaround. That's a fun movie.
