To be honest I've been vaping this cart this whole time and started inhaling for 3 seconds before i push the button and my clog has gone down exponentially. I can now clear the clog with zero heat. before it was so clogged i needed to pulse the button while inhaling to get it unclogged. So i think I just need to inhale before and after hits religiously.

i either use a hot pin to unclog a cart
or i take the cart off and blow in through the bottom after warming it
You just stick the pin down the center tube? i did that a bit but not heated. might have to try.

edit: worked perfectly. no clog what so ever. used the heated pin with the cart upsidown and then turned the cart back to right side up everytime i took the pin out. no burnt taste either!

That's it as you've discovered. Be very careful doing that if it's a metal pin or needle, the heater is sitting cross wise to the end of the tube, poke too hard and you hit it. Not good.

Vitolo invented a tool for this by sticking a needle in a cork far enough so it no longer reaches the heater inside.

If you manage the cart right, this sort of plugging doesn't seem to happen, or happen only slightly. Another kind of scary technique is to cut a 1/4 inch or so strip of paper towel a few inches long and twist it into a firm, strong 'string'. You can fish this down the tube, when you pull it out the extra oil will be soaked into the end (which can be cut off). Using a wire or pin forces most of it back down to the heater where it vapes off hopefully, but doesn't really remove it making the next plug all the easier to happen.

I've done the paper towel wick trick dozens of times (I have some SD oil that's lovely, but loves to plug....) and have yet to have one jam. Just keep 'screwing it in' (twisting it), always in the same direction as you work it in and back out.

Still running the "used to be cloggy" cart! Zero clogs now! I think it was a positioning upon cooling situation as i was using it while playing a gig and i just had it in my pocket. I also just realized all my TV mouthpieces work on this bad boy!

Went smooth. cart is still perfroming so i must be doing it right:) Tested the other 4 carts i have and only 1 popped as soon as i pressed the button. Fully expected that to happen tho. 4 out of 5 aint bad:haw:.

i'm a little confused.... isn't oil what the omicron is already used for???
They're referring to a New cart called the Hercules that currently is for the persei, but is being developed in a 3.7v version for the Omicron. Hope that helps. BTW my Omicron doesn't leave my side! Definitely my on the go daily driver!

thanks for the explanation but i guess i am a noob so i am even more confused. so let me lay it out.... the omicron as designed does oil. so now we introduce the "Hercules" and it says it's for oil and is in development. if the omicron can already do oil.... what does this new Hercules do with oil that is so different than what the omicron can already do??

sorry, like i said.... i am a noob but i want to understand this better

Hercules is a new cartridge that will Vape anything(bubble, flower, oil). Right now it is only working at 7.4v(Persei) but hopes to release a 3.7v version for the Omicron V2.

It's also worth noting that Omicron carts are not without problems. They only do well on some oils, are prone to leaks and have a fairly short lifespan. Hercules is trying to address at least some of that.

Good as Omicron is, it can still stand some improvement most feel.

I think for the 10 bucks you pay for a cartridge it's worth it. Oil is always gunna gunk up devices 10 times faster than herb. I found my dart cart to get so dirty and almost beyond cleaning if you forget or can't get to a cleaning source. The omicron carts allow for quick disposle and no ones gunna cry over the 10 bucks. I think if you use the omicron for on the go stealth and not an at home daily driver you'll be happy.

so.... will the Hercules be a cleanable, use forever cart?? cause at $109 vs $12.25 for a regular cart thats a big price difference if i have to replace the Hercules cart. I'm only learning here, so i speak nothing from experience and i read the normal omicron carts ($12.25) are supposed to be used once or twice and then replaced. some users use theirs much longer i have read but they will need to be replaced. if the Hercules ($109) is going to need to be replaced often that will be a pretty big hit to the wallet.

It's just a ? of use-span ~ IOW ,if one plans to use omi/o-phos @ 3.7v ,24/7 (one cart

exclusively) ,then Hercules rules ( $ 18/mo + < 109/6 mos> ) ; if less use ,the standard @

10-13$/mo + rules ~ if flower capability @ 3.7 becomes feasible thru USB pass_thru

somehow ,then Hercules will rule regardless of frequency of use
