Turning Crumply Wax into Oily form???

Hi, i got a 710 vaporizer pen and by how its designed it doesnt work too well with crumply wax. I made the mistake of buying bomb crumply yellow wax but my problem is i always have to heat it up in the bowl in the pen and i hate having to always repeat the process when im at school trying to quickly medicate. But when i get lower quality wax such as the brown oily kind it doesnt need any heating up or nothing fat rips with lung collapsing coughs everytime.

so i was thinking how can i turn the bomb crumply wax that is like powdery into an oily form without losing the potency of the wax. any ideas are greatly appreciated.

this should have been posted in concentrates, but i can help you out! whenever a bho run doesn't come out just right, i go ahead and do an ethanol extraction. gives me rock hard glass every time :D it leaves some waxes behind too so that's an added plus

also my friend has a g-pen and waxy oils don't work well in it.. better off dabbing that stuff!

If you bought it recently, and the dispensary has more of the brown sticky stuff, couldn't you go back in and explain your situation and try to get a trade? I'm sure some places don't accept returns but I know a good bunch do if you aren't satisfied.

thats where i fucked up i went to a different shop that i knew for a fact doesnt have any refund or exchange program. At another shop that i normally do go to for my wax they mentioned spraying a lil water on it would make it turn into a more easier to handle wax. have u herd of anything like that before?

I never heard of purposefully putting water into oil for vaporizing. I have heard of people putting drops of vegetable glycerin / propelyne glycol to dilute the concentrate for vape pens :2c:

Disclaimer: I have not tried this myself and I imagine results may very depending on the heating element of your particular vape pen. When I have I really solid wax in my pen I melt it down with a torch and let the heater melt it it down on each hit. I am not knowledgeable on the 710 pen.

Now thats over with, if you do try it best of luck I hope it works well. Let us know the results.

i went to green door in SF and got some crumply Headband wax. Should I add glycerin to use it in my atmos or what? i thought it was going to be real wax like waxy. i also have dabbers delight which i think i can heat up and just put in my pen.

I've never had a problem w/ hard waxes/shatters in the 710. For me, the higher the viscosity, the better it works. While it works w/ thinner oils, I believe this is when it is least efficient and you can't carry as large a load w/o bubbling over a little. If I wanted to load a good amount of hard wax for the day I would use the enclosed tool to scoop a chunk, insert it in the base of the funnel - pushing the tool down next to the heating element. If you power up for a couple of seconds w/ the tip of the tool next to the element it will heat the tool up, allowing for easier manipulation of the wax. I would then push some of the wax down into the cup. Next, remove tool and repeat - but this time leave the new glob at the base of the funnel above the cup. When the cup starts to empty, the material should begin to flow down from the funnel above. This is the real benefit of the funnel design. Make sure not to fill the funnel so high that the material will come into contact w/ the bottom of the mouthpiece (keeping in mind the material will expand).

This would easily get me through most days. If the pen gets clogged, a good hard pull (creating an air pocket) always clears it for me. Heating the tool like this is also good for cleaning the sides of the funnel and pushing any excess material down.

edit: this is also the 3rd or 4th separate 710 thread I've seen here, maybe combine?

Heat will cause it to change consistencies from a crumble or powder to an oil.

For best vaping results use 50/50 of vegetable glycerine and Propylene glycol and emulsify your wax into your 50/50 mixture. You can always adjust it from there.
