No tell them you got it as a gift and you need the new part. If you think it is broken you properly, but I don't know, can call where they got it from and use the warranty maybe. If it was a friend you would have there first and last name. You can also just pretend to be them but moved so new addy not that I am advocating that.

I guess I don't follow this. It's a new unit, they're all within warranty, why is it a big deal? I too think Jenny should get service but am not big on having to pretend to be someone else to get it.

However, isn't the problem that it's picked up some foul taste from a new herb/kief mix other vapes handle fine? Didn't Jenny say "I used to love it, the plastic taste wasn't as bad as everyone else was saying, so I continued to use it flawlessly" and the problem started with the 'gift' from the new delivery service? If so, I suggest it may be a cleaning issue.....and avoiding that blend again in the Puffit?

That is hard to fault a machine that was doing well before it got fed something new and choked? It could, of course, chosen just that moment to blow up, but the odds are against it. If it still heats normally, my money's on a cleaning being in order followed by a few bowls of 'the old stuff'.

Well I don't want to lie, that's bad karma,so I will just be upfront, if they don't replace the tubing, ill just continue not to use it I guess.

And I have cleaned it about 5 times if not more exactly how they said, and still taste it. And that blend was a while ago (I haven't even ordered from the same place), but it still tastes like that no matter what I put in it now.

I mean flawlessly without big vapor clouds and that bugged me, but I guess they are doing something about that, so maybe ill see if they can send a spring as well.

I'll let you guys know what they say when I finally email them

Cool. I'm with you principle wise.

Sorry cleaning didn't do it, have you run several bowls of 'the good stuff' through it? The general result of that is to coat the surface of the rubber, sealing it.

Let's hope they send you the few cents of tube involved, if not I think I know where we can get it, but have to buy 10 feet (less than a dollar a foot) but would have to take mine apart and measure to confirm the size.

I don't lie either was just giving you options. But if your friend ordered from whatever that site was which I won't put in my memory then call them forget email. You have a warranty no matter if you bought it or it was a gift so I don't see the issue. They should send you a new unit. Wasn't it a year warranty?

so after two tests so far (one at level 6 and one at level 8) i still am not noticing any real difference with this enhancement spring in place.i had hopes that it would make a difference but so far no. at this point i am willing to say it's either the vape itself and it's just the way it goes, or i am willing to admit it may be my technique. now i have had no issues whatsoever hitting my Buddha, my solo, or my Iolite (when i had it) and getting good clouds and a great medicated feeling. now looking at those vapes i mentioned only one has a learning curve, and that's my Buddha and i have no issues with it but i assume its the easiest to learn. i did own a MFLB and i will admit i never got great clouds with it and i only felt "buzzed" and never "fully medicated" when i used it. in fact i get a better medicated feeling from the Puffit even with the wispy to non existent clouds i am getting with it. so is there a chance that i do not know how to "properly" hit my Puffit??? i would say highly unlikely but at this point i am willing to say that it may be a possibility. if users say they get some good clouds and the host of that podcast said he could after adding the spring thing then maybe i am wrong. i am not too full of myself to say i can be wrong. Not sure what to believe but so far after two tests with the spring i am not so impressed. i hope other better luck!!

I have no idea about clouds but if it is getting you medicated it can work when you need good stealth IMHO. Good luck whatever you do with it. I am not a cloud whore, I just want my meds. A matter a fact, as I more then likely have said before somewhere, I prefer light clouds for stealth reasons. They dissipate faster, more then likely people don't see them, and they also don't smell nearly as much. Then you have people saying, I forgot who paka maybe, that whatever vape you blow out is wasted vape.

i agree Dreamerr and i usually am not a cloud chaser myself. i was just pointing out that users in here said they got decent clouds and the podcast host said he got better performance after installing the spring and i didn't notice any difference really. so i just wanted to add that MAYBE it's me that has the issue with these type of vapes. Considering the legions of fans that LOVE the MFLB and when i owned one i thought they were all crazy cause i could barely get a buzz from it. Maybe me, and this type of vape don't gel together. I will say though i get better "medicated" results from this than i did from my MFLB, which in the end was why i sold it.

so like i said maybe it's me

I can get clouds from the MFLB but then I also cough. I do get medicated though. I still like my INH better and with more stuff on the way we will see which one I go to more often in the house and which one out of the house. I am back to using the INH out of the house. I need to figure out something to put the tube in though cause that thing smells bad no matter what. I was reading about end caps for the solo and was wondering if that will work on silicone go hold the smell in the tube.

I guess that is why they make a mess load of different vapes. One size definitely does not fit all.

I went on live chat with gotvape, told them the situation, I just needed his name and they looked up the order, they said because its still under warranty they can replace the tubing. I have to ship it back to them, and then it takes 1-2 weeks to fix. So I probably won't have a working unit until a month or so. But it's cool they are still going to replace it....

Don't forget to tell them to please give you the new spring for your trouble. Glad you got it sorted it. See what a phone call can do...love the stone ages.

I have to call tomorrow to give them my card # for shipping, I need a silicone cap as well so I will make sure they provide one of those spring things also.

It just sucks waiting a month (or even more who knows?) but it wasn't being used anyways so I guess it doesn't hurt nothing...just my patience lol

Well I got the spring for free but lame I have to buy another silicone cap, blah. They shoulda waved that for inconvenience but I now know to stay clear of them for future purchases.

Well it's a pain, but at least they didn't hang up on me once they found out I didn't purchase the actual unit, and they even use my info instead of the person who got it for me, which is pretty cool.

But same thing here, I didn't know about FC until after I purchased from them, then learned the hard way what they're like, but at least I know for the future

I haven't been on this thread lately because I haven't used my puffit since getting my Pax, but I read a little about this new spring and was wondering what you guys thought and is it worth the 99 cents and the effort to get it? Also how do you get one? Contact DV directly? Thanks

I contacted gotvape where it was purchased and they will send it when the finally replace my tubing so I will let you know if I like it

Sorry for the double post. But it's a few days between. I called got vape, apparently I'm supposed to pay for shipping to them, and to ship it back. If they send me just the tubing and I fix it, it'll void waranty. They never specified I woud have to pay shipping to and from. I am extremely dissatisfied with their service. I pretty much want to throw the unit away and chalk it up as a loss, nothing but headaches from it, literally (from the taste from the beginning) and now figuratively. This might be the last time I post on the puffit forum because I pretty much hate everything associated, and gotvapes bad attitude and service. Hope everyone else is happier with their unit, I will never suggest the puffit or the vender where I purchased it.

totally agree on the GotVape part.... i will NEVER ever shop from them ever again. they wanted to charge me for shipping to and from as well when i RMA'ed my unit. i put up a huge stink and got them to at least pay for the shipping back to me. i still had to pay to ship it to them though. i shipped it to them using the cheapest service and the smallest packaging i could find. with GotVape, unless you are putting up a stink, persistent in your efforts (contact them often), and threatening to voice your opinion on how they are treating you on the Facebook page, they will never give you anything in return
