sorry...not a movie. But two nights ago i got baked and watched the local news. The funniest thing was a truck caught on fire on the highway and had a pallet of porn mags on it. Smut was all over the place...and I couldn't stop laughing!

I think I like watching the news fucked up. One night we were all lmao with a story about a kid getting dragged to death by a school bus...how twisted is that?

marijuana is a hell of a drug!

:uhoh:

Few I've enjoyed recently...

Dead Man (killer Neil Young guitar soundtrack)

There Will Be Blood (score by Jonny Greenwood)

No Country For Old Men

Planet Terror

And of course, Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas

:D

TWBB and NCFOM might not be particular trippy, but good acting is even better when I'm vaped.

"But I understand, William Blake. You were a poet and a painter. And now, you are a killer of white men."

Dead Man is a killer movie. The soundtrack is also awesome, but sometimes it makes me laugh. I always wonder if Neil Young was making funny faces when he was doing all those long, drawn out bends...I tend to make funny faces when playing the guitar...so you know...so does he, I betchya. Really though, very cool movie.

I'll save my suggestions for when I can claim to actually be watching movies "vaped", and not just stoned. Can't freaking wait! Come on PD baby, get yer butt through those customs and across that border! :ko:

Nice iv'e found someonelse who has sick, fucked up sense of humour, so hard to relate to "normal" people

the reason for me that MJ is hell of a "Substance" is it makes virtually any ordeal bearable,Fucked it should be supressed in a world so shitty for so many, Thats why ther r so many people prepared to participate in civil disobediance i guess no need for me to drum that shit up

Scariest.... Watchmen: Tales of the Black Sea. Couldn't make it through this, it was way to intense.

Also for consideration:

The Prestige.
Stir of Echoes

Funniest.... Religulous

Also for consideration: (But maybe not thought provoking)

Fear & Loathing
Half-Baked
Adventure land

Great question as I've never put thought provoking with stoner movies. Made it difficult.

1978 or so: Alien. I was gripping the armrest real tight and chanting in my mind "I wish it were over I wish it were over I wish it were over":o. Back then, that was a supremely scary movie to watch while high.

phaang...I forgot the most scary experience of my life was going to a theater stoned and watching Halloween. The walk to the car through the parking lot after the movie was terrifying!

No shit. I was sooooo tense during that movie, that my neck was hurting for hours afterwards, and I wasn't even high when I watched it. I saw it the first day it came out.

A classic haunted house movie taking place in space. GREAT scare flick.

Christmas On Mars was pretty awesome high. Beware of A Scanner Darkly! Those damn scramble suits made my head hurt. I tried watching Bill & Ted's Bogus Jouney the other night and (well, i don't wanna give it away here) once the movie took a dark turn the shit started freaking me out so bad I actually had to turn it off. I feel a tad embarrassed about that. :p Oh, but if you're looking for good trippy fun, check out the Pippi Longstocking movies. The dubbing alone will have you rolling on the floor.

Great Question!

Scary, Intense, Thought Provoking: Event Horizon (1997).
Thought Provoking and Intense, but not necessarily Scary: Donnie Darko (2001), The Game (1991).
Funny, but not necessarily Thought Provoking: Grandma's Boy (2006), The Big Lebowski (1998).

LOL. The movies I mentioned were just ones I picked up at the local library recently and not really a definitive list. I'll have to think about it more cuz I'm a big film buff and every time I see a list of "stoner movies" it's usually just cliche choices like "The Wall," "Half-Baked" and "Cheech & Chong." I personally find the Pippi movies pretty entertaining even sober, and especially fun while high. Maybe it's just cuz I remember seeing them as a kid and they hold a special place in my heart, I dunno. They are pretty weird, though. Also, anything by Werner Herzog is a trip to watch stoned. Oh, and I finally made it through the "terrifying" Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey, LOL. My head must've been in a weird place then cuz it's pretty damn silly and possibly made with stoners in mind.

Re: Koyaanisqatsi. It's been a long time since I saw that movie but I know the soundtrack is awesome. Phillip Glass rocks. I see from the trailers that they re-used it in The Watchmen. Really dramatic stuff!

Koyaanisqatsi is so ridiculous. I'm half way through it stoned, and I cannot highly recommend enough. Tee hee, highly....

I think it tops my list on movies to watch stoned. It even beats Planet Earth. It is such an overwhelming, almost unconformable experience to watch, but it feels like your mind takes a journey through the film. That description was ridiculous, but just go watch it!!
