Does anyone reclaim their stem hash? I just used iso and a qtip to swab the bottom 3/4s of a stem clean (thereby avoiding the part closest to the bowl, which is darker with particulate matter).



This is the result... not as golden as it looked in the stem, thats for sure. Bad lighting in the picture too, it looks slightly more appealing in real life. I picked a few pieces off that looked too dark, and it's evaporating now. The plan is to unravel the cotton once it's done, and load it in the UD. I don't know how it will taste, but it should be fairly potent stuff. I think I'm going to try putting a screen on top of the load when I vape it also.

That's what I wanted to hear,,,thanks. All I'm looking for is functionality and something that's easy to clean. I hate dirty bongs so I probably will clean it after few sessions every time. I thought it's going to change the "SMOKE QUALITY" but if it has nothing to do with quality of the smoke,,,I'll just go with something that functions well. Thanks for your

i clean my stem hash about once every two weeks or so. however, i just let my stem soak in an ISO bath for about 30 minutes and keep reusing the same ISO for a while til i feel like finally evaping it to reclaim. once it gets to a solid dark amber color is when i consider doing that though.

My dog keeps blowing everyone heads. It is so funny to see the doubtful look at the people faces when I tell them "this is it", and then after the first hit seeing their joy for both the flavor and how high one hit got them.

But anyway, I found a power supply lying around that have 5 voltage settings (4.5v, 6v, 9v, 9.6v, 12v, 15v), and I was wondering if there was anything wrong if I switch it to 15v for just 5 mins or so to get that last hit, or a thick hash hit, and then turn it back to 12v? I haven't done it yet since the higher I've read that people use it here is 14v.

Anyway, the whole electrical stuff reads like this:

Well my twig is with another patient who needed some help post surgery. He lost most of his equipment, and was using a pipe to medicate. He wanted a vaporizer and I thought I would help him out. I decided to go with the underdog because it is easy, 24/7, and durable. Thanks Dave for making a device that will help people out in their time of need.

BTW he was really impressed, and pleased to have it. I think it will work well for his needs.

This is a great way to clean stems, except I use Polish Pure Spirit (95% alcohol) because I don't like the taste of iso. I clean the entire stem, especially the stuff with the particulates! I just vape the lot, it works great! Just stuff the cotton wool into a stem and away you go. You don't need to mess with extra screens or do anything special.

not hardly, as it is correct, but there are workarounds, try using boveda humidity packs, it's a silica gel that absorbs and releases water vapor to maintain a constant humidity.

whether they are freezable or not is a good question.

Thanks for the reply hazy. It did work really well! I got about 6 milky hits from the cotton. Next time I'll have to try it without a screen a top, see how that goes. Did I mention how potent these hits are? Wow. And to think I've been throwing that golden goodness away this whole time...

Received my dog yesterday, and have been putting it through its paces. I am seriously impressed at how easy it is to get dense satisfying hits . The wood is amazing as well. the video doesn't do it justice, it was shot with my webcam. Thanks Dave for a speedy delivery and a kickass vape. I was pleasantly surprised by the extra goodies that came along with it, I find the thick poker and longer dowel the most useful so far.

Got a bunch of shop work done today including a couple big maintenance issues I've been putting off but finally forced myself to get done before winter sets in.

Pulled the 20 Dogs out of testing this evening and gave them the once over before putting them back in for the night. I'll pull them back out tomorrow and start putting bottoms on them and getting them ready for their photo shoots.. then they'll be going up on the site this weekend. Twenty more friendly little Pups looking for homes and for some reason I get the feeling that they'll find them..

I feel like one of those people camping out in front of BEST BUY to buy PS3. I get almost same effect. I'm so stoked that they will be ready soon. I have few questions. I'm hoping someone can help me. I'm trying to have everything ready for my UD. So, now I'm wondering what kind of adapters do I need to buy for my new bubbler.

Bubbler has 18mm so do I need to buy a 18mm to 14mm female adapter or will the sillicone stems from UD will fit right in? Do I need a GonG adapter too? Can I use a whip? If so what brand do you use? It seems so convenient where I don't have to flip UD upside down. Is it okay to constantly flip UD upside down for the bubbler? I've saw the video clips somewhere where someone was using just a Sillicon stem straight from UD to hook it up to a bubbler. I literally read all 200 pages but can't pin point where it was.

you could order one of dave's GonG bowls, those are for 18 mm.
the glass stem with a sleeve of thin silicon around it fits a 14 mm GonG connection well, so for that you would need an adapter with your 18 mm bubbler.

I dont know the size off-hand but, I use the tube from my DBV - it fits into Daves GonG adapter perfectly and you could run a whip to your dog. Enjoy your coughing - the dog kicks my ass each and everytime

My Dog got here today! But I have no clue how the stem loading is supposed to work. I pushed the screen down (curved side up) closer to the heating element since it was placed (curved side up) high up in the stem. All I end up doing is inhaling small bits of herb. Help!

Hey Crohnie -I think Dave answered your question via email... but just in case and for anyone else out there... your herb goes on the side of the screen closest to the heat port, so that the screen is between you and it. Also, the screen and herb should be closest to the heat port side of the stem as well.

I'm going to have something else to say about this very fine log vape very soon.

oy, one of my cats knocked my dog, with a full bucket of cedar oil right down the barrel.
emailed Dave and per his instruction, let her dry overnight and now i'm letting it 'smoke off'.
it seems like it's gonna be fine, still nice and warm to the touch. whole place smells like cedar wood!
