Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud

Vapor Sloth
With the short fill on the ShowerCap, it can hold the entire 5 ml fill in the bottom chamber easily. Not total protection from blow-through by any means, because when I tested it, fluid would cling to the center column and still drip down. But that was on a complete blow-through test, and the few drops that did make it through might be absorbed by your medicine hopefully sparing the bamboo.

I just had a terrifying experience. Out of the corner of my ear, I notice the lack of a ticking sound. I look over and the Cloud is dead. I rush over and turn it on and off a few times but to no avail. I'm deeply saddened at this point. You know that rush of instant anxiety that you sometimes get when something rally tragic has occured? Yeah, that feeling.

I knew that VXL would replace the unit, so it wasn't a financial grief. But just the thought of being without my cloud for a week or more is something I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy.

Then my thoughts turned to the .25 of Girl Scout Cookies that I had just loaded. I grabbed my HT and went to town hoping to get some final goodbye rips from my baby and you know what? I'll be damned if I didn't get 4 good-sized rips from the retained heat of the Cloud. It reminded me a lot of hitting my Supreme.

Satisfied that I had salvged the last ELB that my precious Cloud would ever vaporize for me, I went to pull the plug out of my WeMo. Then I noticed that the damn WeMo had shut itself off for no reason and that my Cloud was still perfectly fine.

The joy.... oh the joy. ;)

I've had a couple WeMo scares, but the joys/benefits of the WeMo far outweigh the couple scares. Glad you're Cloud was okay, and you're WeMo was just playing tricks on you! Still, panicking moments indeed! Another cloud/WeMo funny note; I was on my laptop today, and opened up my network, in windows explorer, and along with my router, printer, ps3, and a couple other devices, I see 'VapeXhale Cloud.' All of the sudden, I'm kind of like :tinfoil: "OMG! The Cloud has evolved to have WiFi connectivity!" and I quickly turned of the Cloud, and hit F5. Still, the Cloud showed up on my network. I couldn't figure it out, and was honestly quite dumbfounded. Then, it hit me. I named my WeMo, [in the iPhone WeMo app] "VapeXhale Cloud", and because of this, the WeMo (a WiFi device) shows up on my network as VapeXhale Cloud.

Temporary insanity/confusion resolved, and it was back to vaping. But for a moment, I really started to question the 'evil monkey in my Cloud.' (Family guy reference.........)

The second you wrote I just had a terrifying experience. My first thought was check your WeMo. Glad everything is okay.

I see 'VapeXhale Cloud.' All of the sudden, I'm kind of like :tinfoil: "OMG! The Cloud has evolved to have WiFi connectivity!"

Yep... that is the evolution chip they built in. Wait till it starts speaking.

 hahahah They've always got something going on at VXL!

We have a smoke detector, that came with our house. A few months after moving in, we were awoken by a woman hollering "Batteries are running low, Please replace batteries immediately!" repeated three or four times, separated by loud beeps!

Gotta love automation. If my Cloud ever speaks to me (and I haven't just recently sent it in to VXL for the Voice upgrade) I'll probably loose it. :mental:

The crazy part is: The first thing I did check was the WeMo, and it was "on". Either I had some serious Girl Scout Cookie halucinations, or the WeMo cut power before the on/off light turned off.

Vaporfection ViVape2 VS Vapexhale Cloud

ViVape2
+ appears to have longer warranty
+ sleeker design
+ faster heat up time
+ fluid touch screen interface
+ beat vapexhale as best vaporiser at Kush Expo
+ cheaper than the vapexhale (if you count having to buy
glass piece with it)
+ designed to use both BAG and WHIP system. (some could consider this a minus haha)
+ company has been around for a while and have experience making
Vaporisers where as vapexhale's cloud is their first attempt at making a vaporiser.

Vapexhale Cloud
+ can use it with your bongs and bubbler's
+ nice simple design
+ massive fan base claiming it's the best vape ever.
+ great customer service

You missed a few things about the Cloud, let me add them

Vapexhale Cloud
+ can use it with your bongs and bubbler's
+ nice simple design
+ massive fan base claiming it's the best vape ever.
+ great customer service
+ beat viVape as best vaporizer at Seattle Medical Cannibus Cup
+ all glass vapor path as opposed to viVape's whipping/bagging
+ moisture-conditioned vapor
+ consistent heating temperature no matter how you pull. Same temp pulling soft or hard.
+ delivers ridiculously "cloudy" hits :-)

By the way just before people potentially jump on me, I'm not hating on the cloud or anything.
Just being open minded :p. for the record the heating elements in the vivape2 are all glass "featuring a laboratory-grade glass-on-glass heating element and laboratory-grade heating chamber which is designed to allow the heating element to be perfectly positioned for the most effective air/heat flow combination. This results in a far superior quality vapor and efficiency compared to other vaporizers. " -http://vaporfection.comIt's just the pathway that isn't (eg whipping/bagging system).

Also the vivape2 seems to deliver pretty cloudy hits as well..
Anyways i don't know much about it in all honesty..
i'm just curious now about which one's better?

Although i suppose asking in the vapexhale cloud section is just going to
get me all the fanboys saying how much better the cloud is.

I own both the Cloud and viVape 2. They are both good vapes, and i love using them, but it's not an apples-to-apples comparison. Still, in my view with all things considered, the Cloud edges out the viVape, though they both offer thick tasty vapor as the result.

Edit: Not hating on Vaporfection at all.

It's the one that suits you best.

As for the vivape's all glass heating element, I'm really curious as to how you get heat production from nothing but glass. At any rate, it makes no difference what material the element is made of, if it's not in the vapor path. If the air path, right up to the bowl, is all glass, the #1 desired feature for the heating element should be reliability.

For me the Vivape/Cloud comparison is sorta like comparing apples to oranges. Actually it is like comparing fruit to candy. Both are sweet, but I have grown out of candy and prefer eating fruit whenever possible.

Now, onto which vaporizer is the 'fruit' and which is the 'candy'.

Well, my tastes have evolved to the point of nearly demanding a air-path free of ceramic heaters or heating coils, and striving to eliminate tubing and other parts that can not be cleaned thoroughly/safely (like glass). This is connected to both material-safety and unwanted flavor accumulation (who here still uses plastic waterpipes? Why not? Why has vaporizer tubing remained when we have generally moved on to glass for water pipes?).

These differences make the Cloud the clear winner over the ViVape IMO.

However, I also feel that the vapor production comparison between the two units is like comparing "candy to fruit".

I have used both, and the Cloud's vapor is way thicker and tastier IME.

The Vivape has a lot of bells & whistles (touch screen, lights, etc), which may garner some attention from passing expo attendees. Opinions/preferences vary greatly too. Many at the Kush expo seemed to be in the neanderthal mindset that smoking/dabbing is the only way to go.

However, I can't recall anyone coming to hang out and asking me to take out the Vivape instead of the Cloud. :D

IMO, the Cloud is king (without any doubt in my mind).

I am going to kick back with a delicious 'mango'. Enjoy your 'gummy bears' if that is what you prefer. :p :2c:

Toke it easy, all! :)

And again being objective, the cloud is not all glass as the ELB is in there and made of metal. but I don't have either a cloud or vivape so I cant comment. however I considered both and put my money on the cloud (waiting for a tracking number).

Just another point of view: :)
  • sleeker design - That's subjective. Personally I like aluminum, prefer the "Iron man" look to "don't sue me (rounded) corners", and the Cloud is handheld.
  • touch screen - History has shown us that digital controls are typically the first to break on vapes. Aesthetically I quite like the Cloud's knurled aluminum knob and simple on/off rocker switch.
  • awards - I don't think it's a big secret that these awards are typically bought, figuratively or literally. Not to take anything away from past winners, but there have been some head-scratchers.
  • cheaper - Do you mean if you don't count having to buy a nice glass water pipe?
  • bag and whip - Whips have some pluses when it comes to convenience, it's very easy to plug one into a Cloud. A bag would require some more creativity. Point to the viVape, but as my friend partially veiled noted a few posts down: I don't think many people are buying the Cloud for whip or bag use.
  • company - I've heard some horror stories from distributors after Vaporfection was sold to a new company last year. The designs are not exactly tested either. Judging by the customer comments and company participation in both of the threads here, I have to give the edge to VXL.
Edit: Formatting and small additions.

That just happened...
I like taking bong hits. With that being the only criteria the cloud is clearly the best production vaporizer in the world.

If you want a fancy interface then the vivape is damn cool. But to me putting a digital touchscreen on a vape is about as useful as putting one on a gun. Wtf? :D
