Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud

My Cloud is actually out for warranty repair, hopefully I'll get it back sometime this week *fingers crossed*. However, in the mean time I'm using my Extreme Q, and while I like the ease of the tubing, the quality of the vapor and delivery from the Cloud is the best. I'd be quite surprised if the viVape delivered the same dense hits that the Cloud does. Maybe I'm naive but it seems to me as of right now that nothing can beat the Cloud.

vivape, just seems excatly like extreme, whip or ballon options. I think someone was biased in that first place finish for it. It looks like a big ipod.

The Vivape 2 had a touch screen LCD. I really think that was the major deciding factor. The judges were likely combusters that don't care about vapor quality and were simply impressed by bells and whistles. Their booth was also in a better location, they were giving a $150 discount, and they were more aggressive about medicating people and selling vapes. I sat at their booth for ten minutes half-pretending to be interested in buying one. They kept giving me bowl after bowl to vape. First with a whip, next with an aquavape water filter, then with a bag, and then more whip at different temperatures. As soon as I said I wouldn't buy it because I preffered my Cloud (very politely) they wouldn't even TALK to me. Gave me the cold shoulder. The Cloud team let me sit at their table, chat, and vape for hours. It was a welcome relief from the hoardes of smokers, dabbers, and half-naked women yelling and thrusting handouts at me. Some guy called me a pussy for not paying 5 dollars to take a dab from a disgustingly dirty rig. I love this business:leaf: but I hate this industry ($$$) ...

My friend was ordering a Cloud over the weekend and when he got to the end and hit 'confirm' it took him to the home page, nothing has been taken from his account so were assuming that the order didn't go through? He also didn't get an email confirming any order. What do you all think? Should he try again seeing as it looks like it didn't go through?

The angle was just enough when it hit my neck that it broke the bamboo at the ground joint on top. Luckily everything else was fine.

As long as you didn't get hurt. That's cool. I'm sure a few are budgeted for loss during conventions. I'm surprised no one has blown back into a tube.

Is there a rule about that at the cons? You break it you buy it?

Honestly, that's ridiculous. Love that the Cloud people let you sit for hours. I'd probably do the same thing and sit with them :-). I can't believe people want other people to hit really dirty oil rigs. That sounds very unsafe actually.

I'm surprised the oils are really taking off because isn't that the point of vaporization? To avoid toxins and stuff by combusting? Isn't using an oil rig the same thing as combusting? Forgive me if I'm wrong, I actually have no idea seeing as how I live on the east coast, and I can't get access to it.

I live on the east coast. I usually have oil.

I won't touch other folks oils. I make my own, and I'm not satisfied until my return in exactly the weight of the the percent of cannabinoids in the bud (20% potency bud, 8 grams flower in, SHOULD equal 2 grams oil out) and it has a good, clean look. (not cloudy, any bubbles left are transparent, etc) That combined with what you can tell by consistency, look, taste, etc, is usually a good indicator of cleanliness of the oil. If I can't see through it, without it having a cloudy look, I'll avoid it.

As for dabbing, if done right, it's vaporizing. I don't heat my nail red hot, and my dabs leave behind no tar/residue of combustion. it just vaporizes away. It tastes exactly like vapor, and the buildup in the tube is almost identical to that of my HT when used with the Cloud/flowers.

So, that being said, I feel that a large amount of the dabbing community, probably consumes less than adequately purged oil, and does so in a more combustion like manner (high temp dabs, hitting oils that have butane and/or plant matter in them)

I've dabbed oils in the past, that were (looking back) clearly not that clean (tane left behind, etc). After using oil that I make for a week or more straight, I don't feel any different then after vaping/clouding flowers for a week. After dabbing just a few dabs of less clean oil, I usually feel almost dirty. I notice that my skin is more oily/reminds me of when I smoked cigs.

If done right, consuming oil should be no different than vaping flower, after all your just removing the cannabinoids from the trichomes on the flower, and vaping them the same.

Sadly I just don't have the availability to make my own.

Thank you for the enlightenment.

I can't wait to get my Cloud back. I'm seriously thinking about picking up the HydraLine. It looks awesome.

You're welcome. And, you mean the ShowerCap, right? :brow: Seriously, I'd really like to pick up either the ShowerCap or the HydraLine...I'm leaning towards the ShowerCap, for my next HT purchase. After the FC bubbler though.

Has anyone added rubber, or anything for that matter, to the four 'feet' of the Cloud? I've been contemplating doing something along those lines, to make it softer on my desk/cloud when it's sat down.

I'm actually confused about the ShowerCap. I realize that it has less diffusion which gives greater flavor, and has little water, so there is almost zero drag, but what's the difference between using this, and hitting your HydraTube dry? I mean I guess you get a little moisture with the ShowerCap, but is it enough to make a difference?

The ShowerCap doesn't provide quite as moistened a hit as the Hydraline, but I found everything else about the ShowerCap to be superior. Better taste, bigger hit, more durable/easier to store. The ShowerCap definitely provides a smoother hit than a dry HT, but without any significant loss of flavor.

I went into the Expo figuring I'd leave desperately wanting a Devastator and maybe also a Hydraline or Double Swagger. I left wanting the ShowerCap.

Ive got to say now that I figured out that my Mobius needs more heat that the 60t Stereo Matrix is the bomb with the Cloud. I havent even seen my HT in months... Originally I bought a sherlock adapter that you could flip upside down and hit straight from but after getting this Mobius piece, nothing else compares.

Just to add to this...in the showercap, dry or wet, the vapor travels more of a 'straight' shot to the mouth, than in the HL. IMO, the HL would have much more places for the vapor to condense and buildup, than in the SC. So, less condesing vapor, more flavor getting to the lungs.

We've been hitting our HT dry for months.. got to be too much trouble keeping the water level reasonable when sitting in bed. It works well that way but like I just said, having the Mobius in the mix has changed all that.

Does anyone have any videos of the ShowerCap in use? I know SliM has one but he's probably working on editing, and getting home, etc. :-).

^ I totally agree with this! I have lots of glass, but when it's Cloud time, it's Mobius Stereo Matrix I reach for. This piece seems like it was MADE FOR THE CLOUD!

@bluntcrush before i read your post i had no idea what a mobius stereo matrix was. now im scrounging for the $300-400 its going to cost to get one!

You will not regret it. Here is mine paired with the cloud:

That is one of my all time favorite combinations.

On another note... I am home now, but I am way to tired to do any video editing today. All I can say though is... slow motion devastator video :mmmm:

I can't remember when I first heard of a Mobius anything. I can however remember myself scrounging, only long enough to decide it was on my far-future wait list. lol. There is other great glass out there, for less, and for more. I'm not in the market for that caliber of glass, at the moment.

Some day, I'd like to have a piece or two, by several of my favorite artists.

vaplexus,
Would it be a lot harder for water to leak through with the showercap? Based on that video, it looks like it would have less risk when using with friends.

The swagger pieces and the Hydraline are all good pieces to use if you are worried about water being blown through the tube. The pre-chamber does an excellent job of catching and holding the water if your friends do accidental blow some water through. I have yet to have a single person at either cup accidentally blow the water through the HydraTubes.
