Vulgar display of insouciance
You can try to use your credentials to try to call me a liar, but in fact I never changed my story, I simply claimed that it had a small amount of play at first then progressively got looser. So I guess we can say its all three doors buddy.

You mean this one: http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/vapexhale-cloud.5247/page-302#post-286318 - The 2 inch story?

And this one: http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/vapexhale-cloud.5247/page-300#post-285828 - The half an inch story?

And then this one: http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/vapexhale-cloud.5247/page-300#post-285802 - And this the all-the-way-out-story?

One needn't have earned the title of Juris Doctor to notice the inconsistencies.

Also, @ stonemonkeys post, the reason I didmt send it back at first id because I was told on here that it must have play to function, but I now see that this isnt the same play that it shiuld have. Really domt see how you guys dont understand this but you can keep callimg me a liar to make yourself feel better.

Please just post some pictures. Everyone can argue either side back and forth but until there's some sort of visual evidence I feel that most people here will probably take the side of VXH given their tremendous customer support and much-appreciated ongoing presence here in this forum.

I was just going to say that: High Sigh can you post pictures of your cloud and broken bits so we can see?

I just bought the Cloud patent application PDF. verrry interesting! can't wait to dig into this. there are some good cross section diagrams. looks like and interesting design, not what i expected in some aspects. i'll post more about it later.

I hoped my posts wouldn't push this into a spiral, but they may have. The only thing I was trying to say, is that something doesn't add up between what High Sigh says, and what VXL says. Obviously, I'm going to lean towards favoring VXL, as they have an excellent track record, VS High Sigh, who I hardly recognize/know on the forum.

I really do apologize to any.everyone who's been involved in this argument/debate/discussion, especially those who are potential customers. Please don't let these past few pages influence your decision to purchase a Cloud; but used the rest of this thread, and the pre release one, to judge the Cloud.

SM55, thank you for your amazingly extensive presence on the FC forums! I hope that all of this hasn't been enough to push you away, but I apologize regardless.

That said, I'm out of the conversation on High Sighs Cloud. On a more Cloud related note, I figured out a more efficient (IMO) method of using kief in the Cloud, than mixing it with herb, or just dumping it in an ELB. Working on a video over the past day or two between work, I should have it posted this evening.

I love my cloud and think VapeXhale is a great company, they have always been quick to answer any questions I have had and I really like that they are on this forum - I hope they stay on here, it's really cool to have such an interaction with the "higher ups" at such a company...

Does anyone know if it is possible to just buy the glass tube that goes in the cloud?? The joint of mine broke due to it falling over, and when I contacted vapexhale they told me it was not possible to fix for cheaper than a new cloud would be. I do not see how this can be true because the day i got mine, the tube could slide all the way off the unit, before I even used it, but was told it was suppossed to do that. I do not have the funds to buy a new cloud so how can I not just slide a new one in, since the old one has come out and been since I have received it?
Does the text in red not make everything else a moot point? I don't like to dig up old posts, High Sigh, but in your first post here on the forum you said you have no problem with a manufacturer lying. Sock puppet shilling like that manufacturer did is detestable. To be okay with it because you feel you were treated well, and then to claim that a company like VXL is untrustworthy because you didn't get a free replacement is unfair. I think it's clear to anyone who has been following this thread just how far VXL has gone to make customers happy. There comes a point where they have to protect themselves from those who might take advantage, and I think sm55's post shows that they have their priorities in the right place.

There's no question in my mind that VXL has done just what sm pointed out in his post. The company has bent over backwards to satisfy customers, especially early on, above and beyond the stated warranty coverage. I've known stonemonkey for four years, through thousands of posts on two different forums, as well as countless emails and other
communication. IMO his integrity is of the highest caliber. I've seen him hunt out and collect every good vape on the market, in search of the best. It's no surprise to me that he took all that experience and decided to combine the best features of other models, shoot for even better performance and vaping satisfaction, and design his dream vape. He's got a great team as partners, but he IS the driving force for the company. That also means that at some point it's his responsibility to uphold the rules and regs as stated by the company, just as we have to do here on the forum.

I think it sometimes gets lost that this model is for the vapor connoisseur. It's not another 'me too' vape with just an added wrinkle or two. It's expensive for sure, but nobody ever said that part of the cost was dedicated to making it bullet proof. If you want a high end model with no glass and a multi year warranty, there are options for that. There are many models that'll do the job, and some are fairly cheap as well as being proven designs. If you want a vape that bounces well and doesn't cost a lot, this one obviously shouldn't be considered. If you're clumsy and break things easily, this may not be the vape for you. But if you want the unique vaporizing experience that only the Cloud provides, and you're willing to accept the warranty conditions, and the admittedly high price (still not the most expensive model available though), then it SHOULD be a privilege to buy from a fellow vapor enthusiast, who also happens to be a great guy, instead of a faceless company backed by deep pocketed people who only care about the bottom line. If I can see and hear the person behind a company I buy from, then I want to like that person. Who wouldn't? Here we've got a great product designed by one of us, and he's a good guy. Customers will be dealt with fairly. I have no doubt of that. Certainly everyone won't feel that way. Everyone has their own perspective. But I suggest that we all appreciate what we've got with VXL- a great product turned out by someone who was just a forum member like the rest of us, looking for the perfect vape.

Sorry to sound like a cheerleader, but there's a lot to be happy about with this vape and company, but everyone should also keep the right perspective. It's not the perfect vape in every respect. There's a price to pay for glass-it's fragile. In this case it's also internal. There are no deep pockets (the big backing $ was offered and declined), so you have to expect occasional delays in production, warranty replacement, and expansion into fancier glass and international models. We can't go behind the scenes at VXL in order to better understand the issues and problems, so we have to take their word for it, and with this company I, for one, am perfectly comfortable with that. I'd also like to point out that we, as a forum, need VXL more than they need us. I'm going to do my best to make sure that sm doesn't feel like the forum is now more trouble than it's worth. For me, it wouldn't just be a case of losing a company presence, it would be like losing a friend. Call me biased. I admit it. :)

I just wanted to thank everyone or the kind words -- they fuel our efforts to build this company. In other news I just wanted to let everyone know that VXL will be competing at the Kush Expo this weekend in LA (http://kushexpo.com/). Slightly Medicated, Pappy, VaporRing, StoneMonkey55, and myself will all be at the booth (I believe a few other forum members will be helping us out sorry the names slip my mind at this moment). Feel free to stop by our booth and say hello!

VaporRing and I are actually on the road and have been since Monday as were transporting all the booth equipment from Philadelphia to LA. I noticed a few people on here said they have been calling the main number, as that's my land line at the office in Philly, everyone please utilize 610-613-7964 until October 19th. We will get this updated on the front page.

Just wanted to mention that my glass tube absolutely does not move at all, and feels fixed in place. I am not trying to complain, just putting this out there, should it be this solid if it's supposed to have some movement?

@max like i said, i was not going to get the cloud. instead i had a nicely configured LSV all ready to go in the shopping cart. some of my concerns with the cloud included its fragility. its kind of interesting because i don't have one, have never seen one in person but it was clearly obvious to me that the could was a going to require care. i am not clumsy but i do know that when vaping its easy to loose track of one's self and the last thing i wanted to see was a bunch of broken glass. but before i hit "checkout" i took another look at the forum, videos and some other things. i decided that the cloud would require care and being very careful with it but it was a vape like no other currently on the market.

i still have trepidations about it; the fact that it is going to require concentration and being careful with it in ways i don't have to worry about with my other vapes. but i decided to give it a shot. the promise is that it will perform in the unique ways the cloud apparently does. that will be worth the focus on keeping it intact!

Now... its just a matter of getting it! :)

I am packing and doing laundry as we speak. Looking forward to seeing the crew again and meeting Pappy. If anyone stops by please mention FC Forums... that way I know you are form here. Sometimes I can be a bit dense and I might not put two and two together unless you mention it to me. It is getting cold and starting to rain here in Seattle... should be nice to go down to some warmer weather for a few days.

If you can't make it... don't worry. I am going to bring my video camera and try to get a good video for everyone.

hope this lightens up the mood in here :D

I soooo want a green cloud...

In my two years of cloud use (beta testing and production model use) I just would like to share a few pointers that I think will help all new and current cloud users protect their cloud from damage.

It starts with the cord, in my house I have two cloud stations. For both of them the cloud is on a table and the cord is protected from getting caught up in someones foot. In both of my cloud stations the Cloud never leaves the table unless its in use, and after each draw its returned to the table, in one room I'm still able to incorporated this into a comfortable sitting area just fine.

The ideal design is a table that has a round hole it for cabling and make sure the cable is not tangled so that the cloud can be picked up and placed back down smoothly, and it keeps the cord out of harms way.

Second when letting friends use the cloud for the first time, Hold your cloud! Until you feel they have adapted to treating it correctly. Eventually this all becomes second nature and not much thought needs to go in to keeping the cloud safe.

Do you know if the replacement Clouds were shipped today yet? I'm antsy, LOL! Another weekend without the Cloud. Truly sad!

Yes, I'm new at vaping relatively, but it was clear to me from the start that StoneMonkey was one of us.(or you guys. I'm one of you). If that makes sense. It only took one week of vaping to realize i needed this unique experience. Anyhow, point being, I saw him with videos of the vriptech, etc. I know he is just looking for the best vape, and for him to actually do it, is amazing and awesome! I feel privileged to own a Cloud. :-)

LOVE the green and the monkey on the HT!! Very nice work!! Can you do that in rainbow?

Thanks for the tips Troi. I am super careful about new users, and will usually hold the entire set up for them, and will put the Cloud upside down on a bub so there are fewer chances of accidents.

The current batch that's being moved from production to our finished goods are still in QC and bearing this is one of are larger production batches the QC team is going to need 1 more day. I was expecting it to be completed today but just got off the phone with that team and that is the update! We are pushing very hard to have them out the door tomorrow. Again I apologize for everyone waiting.

That just happened...
It's better to take your time during quality control. I'm sure newvape would prefer waiting some extra days over getting a defective unit.

Troi, thank you so much for the update! You are the man! Will you be sending tracking numbers for the replacements once they are shipped? I'm just being antsy. I'll be hitting refresh on the USPS tracking all weekend, lmfao!

Definitely! I'd rather have a completely working, non-defective unit than to go threw not having the Cloud longer. I just can not wait to get it back!

This is the exact why I use my cloud! I also NEVER let friend touch it regardless of if they got the hang of it. I just paid waaay to much to have it break because of someone else's incompetence.
