Bummer, but assuming it's not one of those 'has to ship to the billing address to pay that way' issues, I bet they send a new shipment to you and work out how to get the other returned. Anyone there that can mail it back for you? It's not waiting on a signature is it? If so it'll return itself in due time.....

Good luck, but telling us doesn't get anything done to fix the problem, I'd be contacting TV.

OF
Yeah, some companies don't ship to different addresses than the billing but TV does, and they had no problem shipping my first defective order to my apartment so that's not the issue. I think what happened is, they just input the wrong address on the replacement parcel.

I only updated this because a few people said they liked to hear everything, good and bad.

Believe me, I emailed TV right away when I noticed the wrong address. Their first suggestion was for me to just go pick it up. I told them no, we'll see what happens.

I assume you told them no and why...cause it is far far away. I think you should still post what is going on but I am not a veteran on this board. After the first post and you getting fussed at it was obvious to me that you were just reporting but taking care of the problem which I had figured you did this time as well. I had read a lot of this thread when I was considering the TV and they seem like a great company so I suppose all will be good soon. :)

Dreamerr,
Sorry for the complaint but I just wanted to give anyone who cares an update. They shipped my replacement parts to my billing address instead of the shipping address. Now I either have to go to another state to pick my stuff up or I have no idea what customer service will do next. :bang:
Same exact thing happened to me on a replacement. They shipped it to my billing address instead of my shipping even though I specifically stated in the email to send it to the shipping. Oh well they ended up just sending a new shipment to my shipping address because I could not get the stuff at my billing address (different state too).

Does anyone else find this hard to get a good hit if they are physically moving and or cannot hear the air flow while hitting it. I've noticed that when I cannot hear the air I am drawing it completely throws off my hit.
Hey, I realized something today while using mine on the go. You know what makes a difference? The face you make when you're using it. Seriously, try it out. What I found is that if I make a smile with my face, I don't get as good of a draw. When I make a kissy face or with my lips out, I get a much better feel for the airflow and temp. Your mileage may vary.

sux, I was just getting home, had my hands full, was trying to set things down on my desk and must have bumped it, sent it rolling. It was down before I even knew what fell. One of the downsides to glass I suppose. I am getting over it...

Sorry yours broke. Hope you enjoyed it. I was wondering how well it would work. I ordered both of the glass adapters but they never came. I wrote them a couple times and they said there was a delay. I never bothered to write them again. I think they are not making it anymore though. Seems like a limited time thing. I really should message them and get my money back since they never sent me the product.

Yeah, I was pretty mad for a bit, but what can you do... I did like it, ALOT! and preferred it over the regular T1 top, part of why it fell, I was just using it today, and had emptied the load, and the parts were sitting on my desk. I blame the doughnuts I had in my hand, distracting me!! Evil doughnuts!!
dust to dust...

So, has Thermovape stopped production of the glass adapters and mouthpieces and also the power adapter?

Hey, anyone know what the watch means beside my name? Appeared there yesterday.
Running out of time?
Watch out?
Never seen that logo before.

Yeah it seems as though there priorities are somewhere else at this point. Luckily I managed to cancel my orders about a month after I placed them after receiving no word from the company.

It's a nut, check the filename. Maybe something to do with your DIY ventures?

It's my understanding that both projects are for now 'hung up' on sole source outside vendors that can't produce the necessary parts for them. They depend on very few such 'mission critical' parts in general (making most of them 'in house') but I'd guess cannot control the business of their suppliers. If they can't get them, they can't get them.

I seem to recall a lot of delay getting the glass last time, short shipment with lots of rejects? To me that says the vendor is having troubles supplying what he thought he could at the agreed to price (the reject parts he has to 'eat'). If he lost a lot of money in the last batch, I can understand why he's not rushing out to loose even more? I'm just guessing here, but that's what I figure is holding up 'my' glass top. Hopefully more will be forthcoming.

When they can get them, I'm sure they'll be happy to pass them along to us customers. FWIW, I too am hoping they will get more glass in. I have a PA (and also have other options like Pipe's adapter and other supplies) but at least for now no glass top to play with.

I don't think that's a fair characterization. I suspect few do.

It's true they don't seem interested in compromising their standards and going with sub par quality or abandoning their 'made in USA' stand to get a few extra sales, but personally I consider that not only their business decision to make but kind of refreshing really.

I think their priorities remain to provide the finest available gear, as far as possible made in the USA, to their customers without compromises. Nothing has really changed (except they can't get the parts we'd all like them to be able to get). I find no fault with that attitude.

I think that it is a more than accurate characterization..... People who ordered parts months ago have received no word from the company as to when they will receive their orders yet have already paid thermovape. I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I doubt anyone who spent $125 on their wall adapter gives a crap if the plug was sourced from China or not. I would hope that the companies priority would be trying to find a safe alternative regardless of where it comes from at this point considering it has been over 3 months of waiting for many people. I really think that this whole "made in the USA" thing is way overblown by Thermovape. Many of the most high tech devices in the world are produced in China such as all of Apples products (you know the largest company in the world). In fact I would go so far as to call it negligence at this point if Thermovape is not testing plugs from China for safety and completely turning a blind eye to one of the biggest production markets in the world. Obviously what they are doing now is not working.

Aye, I see it now. Good eyes. Was wondering where I left that.
I had it zoomed and could only make out a watch, was hoping for a halo, or at least a donut.
Now a nut could be interoperated in many ways. :freak:
Thanks

We contacted everyone with back ordered items, we gave a few options to how you want to proceed. First was to wait it out and we refunded any "next day" shipping, Second was that we ship out the handle and ship the AC adapter when it came into stock, Third was to cancel the order and we would notify you when it was all in stock.

Please send me an e-mail tim@thermovape.com or you can reach me at (888)428-VAPE

Before you spew, get your facts right. By revenue Apple Computer is 44th largest corporation worldwide. Just my opinion, their products, while good are not best of breed and certainly overpriced. There are many alternatives with equal or better functionality that are a better value.

The part of your post that I've underlined is belligerent in tone and completely unnecessary to make your point. You are really close to breaking this rule:
  • You can post your opinion, and you can criticize, but posts written to offend are not allowed.
