Silver Surfer Vaporizer

Yeah, i keep forgetting to pick up one of those mini-whips. I'm willing to bet that they would indeed make things much easier on those of us who like smaller loads most of the time.

I also have found that vaping larger amounts does make for larger hits in the standard wand. I"ve been trying to make myself just vape half of the bowl and leave the rest for later, but that's hard judge and even harder to make yourself follow through with lol. :brow:

Maybe I just need to get my SSV so I understand it better but it's fun thinking about it. But would a smaller glass screen on top of the ssv screen make it so you could use less herb to fill a minimum bowl?

I've actually thought about how they could make an insert that would make the bowls more suitable for vaping smaller amounts and/or better for vaping hash. Think they really just need a skinnier bowl though, so that vaporbros mini-whip should help, sincce its diameter is smaller and the bowl also appears shallower.

I have the mini whip from vapor brothers and works great with the standard heater cover. The screen size is the same for the silver surfer wand just doesn't have a taper like the silver surfer wand does. So over all the bowel is much smaller. For 10.00 why not? :2c:

hi , im new to vaporizers and this site
i just got an iolite the other day because its easy to use and portable but im looking into getting a vaporizer for my room
i like the look of the SSV and all the reviews are good , would u recommend it for a new user ?

Welcome to the site Dub! The SSV was my second vaporizer, right after my launch box. I think it's an awesome vape for a new user. Easy learning curve, and not much to mess up. You can combust, but I haven't yet, and I don't think I will. Plus, it is easily one of the hardest hitting vapes on the market. I say if you have the cash, and have done your homework, then go for it if you think you'll like it. You won't be disappointed.

I jut wanted to thank everyone for all their input. I got a silver surfer a couple of weeks ago and I can easily say that it has changed my life. It's so nice not to feel like I'm hacking up a lung after every hit... I only combust if I have to when I'm not home, which is why I've been looking into a portable vaporizer the last few days. What would you guys recommend?

I'll try and post pics of my setup soon. I currently have just the standard model (silver on black) with the standard cover and wand and the hands free atachment connected to an ice chamber I bought at HEMP (7th floor) the other day and that thing RIPS hard. ALL my friends want to follow and get their own (especially after how blazed they got on 420 off it) but you know potheads and what they like to spend their money on

I would recommend a Launch Box for your portable, but I've heard that the Iolite and the Vaporgenie are good choices as well. Do your homework and decide for yourself. But you can't go wrong with the box. Hope ya learn lots here.

any grinder really. you want it broken up into little chunks, but not a fine powder.

This is the one that I use, which i got free with my SSV when i ordered off the site:

I can't really say i have any complaints or have thought about buying a diff one for any reason, so i would recommend it. Unlike some other 4 piece grinders, the holes that the herb falls down through arent really big, so you dont get left with huge chunks like some other 4-pc grinders (like the one i got from a convenience store).

Or, you could go with an official SSV grinder, which i've never used, but I"m sure they work well for the SSV if they have the logo on it lol. A bit more expensive and largely the same as the one above tho:

Sometimes I don't grind, just drop a little chunk into the wand, rip on it for a bit then snip it up with some scissors and rip on it again... it works just fine

OK, so I just harvested my first batch of wand hash ever. I had no idea the walls would be so thickly caked! I got so much shit out of it. I left it soft and crumbly and put it in a storage container. Now here's the good part...that shit is COO-COO in th PD! I put half a stem of loosely packed shit in there and got five thick clouds before I couldn't think anymore. fuckin high as shit for hours. I just did my second stem and am flying! The SSV and the PD are a sick-ass combo!

So wait, you just put the wand hash in the stem? I've been wondering how you would go about using it in a log style vape. I've used it in a whip type, but.....

I was blown away too. Of course, this whole vaping adventure has pretty much blown my mind. And they say you can't teach an old dog new tricks!

im just curiouson what others had. the bag i got with my ssv is more like the ones that you see da budda in, just a zipper on the size with a drawstring. where as i see the other ssv bags that are "shaped" to the ssv and have a full zipper around them. so did i just get cheated out on the better bag (imo) or did they change the style?

i just got a ssv and it came in a very nice bag with zipper (shown on their website, i purchased mine from vapeworld, you?).

well as far as i know i got the last order from diesel vapors. and my bag is just a standard pillow bag. it has ssv tags on it, so i know its official and made from the same hemp as my dimebag i ordered off their site, but i dont think this bag is near as nice as the one offered on the site.

my bag is just a big gray square pillow bag. the top has a drawstring and one side has a zipper. with the drawstring fully closed one can still look in and see the top of my ssv. :/

The bags for SSV and DBV vapes have changed from time to time. They're all supplied by 7th Floor. Makes no difference where you buy, just when.

So i got my SSV on wed and my ehle a few days earlier and all i can say is WOW!

Vapeworld accidently shipped the ground glass heater cover+wand so they are going to send me the standard also (what i requested) (if anyone is interested in buying the GonG let me know). Anyways the GonG isnt bad though its actually pretty nice, ill let you know how the standars/GonG compare next week...

The SSV + Ehle is SOOOO SMOOOOTTHHHH, i can take huge hits and not feel a thing (cold water + ice)! The high is very intense and lasted hours. Ive only used a vaporizer (dbv) a few times in the past but i dont remember getting this high (must be the bong/ssv combo). Only smoking 1 big bowl i took like 20+ bong rips, slowly cranking up the heat and stirring each time. I used so much less green then usual and it lasted so much longer. The high was intense, very much a head high, and i was still functional (not tired/sleepy feeling).

My friend came over and i showed him the new setup, at first he was skeptical (first time using a vap) but then he loved how smooth the hits were and how long the bowls lasted. We talked about how a gram would take all night

I would def recommend the ssv to anyone looking for a vaporizer, and i would also recommend getting the water pipe attachment and hooking it up to some glass

I just want to give a positive shout-out about 7th Floor, LLC., the folks who make the Silver Surfer and Da Buddha. In the past there have been various complaints about their customer service, but i have had nothing but responsive and timely service from them. I have ordered accessories and parts from them three or four times, and they always get the goods to me within 3-4 day maximum. From my recent experience I would say that they do a really good job and handle customer service like pros.

SSV arrived along with my Vaporbros mini whip. I filled a Mrytlezap bowl and emptied it into my mini whip bowl and turned the SSV temps up close to combustion. My 2 cents first impression now currently rates giving more efficiency to my SSV because of more cannabinoids vaped. :ko:

So the mini whip is a good size for conservation? I've been debating to buy this mini wand or not for weeks. I was thinking it would work. How well does it fit the ssv cover?
