I got my new walnut finishing grinder this evening. :)

It really does give the perfect grind for the MFLB. I already had about a gram already grinded by a two piece Space Case, so I used some of that in the finishing grinder. It worked great! The final grind with the finishing grinder was more fine than I have ever been able to get, even with the MixNBall nano grinder. I may skip the nano grind from now on because the final grind was so good. I just brushed it out when I was finished, and put it back into its storage tin.

I am very impressed after using it just once. It was also much easier for me to use this grinder because of the square shape. Using a grinder has become a bit harder with my Rheumatoid Arthritis, but not with the finishing grinder. The amount I grinded came just up to the bars, so almost perfect. I hope I will be consistent with that. I don't believe I will ever need to dump a trench into my palm ever again(to break it up smaller) thanks to this grinder! So far, I love it! :D

Is this grinder a necessity? No. Does it help the MFLB perform better? IMO, definitely.

I can't edit my post, and I wanted to explain why I feel this grinder helps the MFLB perform better. I've never had a grind consistency this fine in any of my MFLB's, and I can really tell a difference now. I am able to get thicker hits from the beginning, and for longer than I did before. I know this is due to the finer grind. I have used this finishing grinder several times, and it has given the perfect consistency every time.

I am noticing a teeny bit of build up on the metal part where the holes are located. (Just a couple places not the whole surface) I am sure this is due to the fact that my buds are very sticky, even after being grinded in my 2 piece Space Case. (Yes, my herbs are dry.) I am sure I can carefully clean that off with ISO and a q-tip, though. :)

Hi guys.. :):):)

OK, we're here, what's on your mind? The greeting got through, but no message?

BTW, not to quibble, but it's spelled "High guys". Although I suspect some of us aren't always high? Some might be faking it, although I suspect most are more often guilty of faking being straight? And some aren't really guys (they smell better that the rest of us do you know.....).

But we're here, awaiting your enlightenment of us.....

Can't tell but this seems kind of snappy. Could just be the way I'm reading it, but it seems a little like that and maybe a little uncalled for. I was just checking in to say hi, no big deal. And to enlighten you: Vicki: I wish I had that problem of too sticky herbs.

Seeing as your initial post lacked any discernable content, I thought OF was being rather generous in even acknowledging it. Oh, he can be snappy, too. Just give him the chance.

Been kinda pissy that I can't find quality hash lately, not that it really matters since I can't quite use it in my box by itself anyways... need to get my hands on some trim/shake and dry ice it... mmm, kief trenches :)

Really? I thought it was one of his rather pedestrian attempts.

6 out of 10. Sorry, OF. You're slipping.

All too true, getting old I guess. Lucky I've got a few friends left to take up my slack.....and wait to divide my gear......

Tough house tonight it seems, wish I had better material.

Bummer, bro. With such lovely choices waiting at the dispensaries it's easy to loose sight of those without such options. Sadly, many are far more disadvantaged, they are reduced to sub par weed of questionable quality and safety. Made all the worse by high prices, shaky availability and attendant legal risks.

"There, but for the grace of God" as the saying goes. Let us pause and be thankful, it not only can be worse, but for a goodly number it is.

Yeah I didn't mean to sound... I don't know, I didn't mean it to come out the way it did. I need something a bit stronger than flower for this pain, this morning I woke up and my shoulder felt like it got hit by a semi. The pain is really bad, I've taken a few Vicodins and while it helped with the rest of my joints it barely touched my shoulder. That plus a lidocaine patch on it which I'm hoping will work its magic in the next half hour. I took my pills and not 3 minutes later came closer to throwing up than I have in weeks now. It feels as if I turn my arm the wrong way it's just going to pop out of its socket.

Not a bit of it. Pain is reality. In an ironic way it divides us into medical and recreational users and adds levels of degrees. It's a very personal thing, sometimes. Some will understand, sadly too many from personal experience.

I'm sorry if my 'take' on the idea in any way diminished that most important point. It simply triggered another thought unrelated to your immediate need. Real need, far from the cliche 'where I need to be' I'm sure. Unfortunately, I can relate, at times pain controls my life too.

I am also mindful that in the not to distant past alternative drugs were not available. Not long ago alcohol was about it. Widespread Aspirin availability was a 20th century thing, in my Grandfather's lifetime not much else (save Morphine) was available. For this too, I'm grateful.

For sure I did not mean to cop a 'look at all we have' attitude. In fact, somewhat the opposite.

Again, I'm very sorry you have 'special needs' right now. I too wish you had better options. When my family is once again to returned to our rightful place of power I intend to fix that, but for now I hope recovery is swift and complete.

FWIW, thanks for posting. Both times.

There is no such thing as hash in my area at all. Consider yourself slightly lucky. :) Enjoy it! One day, it'll be here too! Can't wait. Vape on!

It's funny to see how differently people live. All of my grandparents were born and died (or will die) in Mexico. Both my parents' parents were from the same town/area, but they moved away before my mom was born. My dad's grandparents, living around or (more likely) below the poverty line, couldn't always afford doctors and medicine, but being the resourceful people they are and using our Native American recipes, various herbs, etc, they kept themselves in relatively good health. My dad tells me stories of grandma tending to her poppy pod garden, she would score the pods and collect the opium which she then mixed into alcohol to make homemade laudanum for pain, coughing, diarrhea, restlessness, such things.

You know, even just a hundred years ago, one could order heroin from Bayer... funny to see how times change and how medicine advances.

Anyways, on a lighter note, I ended up getting a nice pile of kief which I pressed and just take little tablets of it and put them in the box. Works out rather nicely, actually.

Guess I just need to get to know you a bit better to get the humor. It'll come to me in good time. :)

And I believe , in Sherlock Holmes' novels , they're sniffing Cocaine .
They were calling it snuff . And probably in it's purest form too .
Not with all those " additives " too . They were using it as a pick me up hit . Nice .

I work in a Pharmaceutical company .
And every once in a while , usually a new employee , will post a question on the company's blog .
About manufacturing THC pharmaceuticals to boost sales and profits for the company .
Answer has always been no ....

Wow! Your grandparents had the real herbal knowledge of an
ancient culture. Scoring her poppy pods, indeed, at one time
opium was considered, "Gods medicine", and your grandmom
was growing her own stash.... Outstanding.

Sorry if this makes me sound like a noob, but what is the purpose of doing this?
Dry ice super cools the material and makes it easier for the trichomes to freeze and fall off of the actual plant matter, through the sifter, and into the collection chamber. Basically, I'm asking around to see if I can get a few big ziplocks of trim or shake to take the kief off of it so that I can press my own hash and maybe pass a bit along to my collective if the quality doesn't suffer too much. Hell, I could just pass them cheap kief for them to use.

Quetzalcoatl,
Greetings all.

My venture into vaping after quitting combusting is working out quite nicely.

One issue that concerns me is the power adaptor. From the beginning it was a little reluctant to make a connection inside the LB but it wasn't a big deal as the light told me. I'm probably going to waste some time and some herb when the light fails as I have to wiggle & reseat the connector several times.

Does anyone have any advice on how to get a more reliable/consistent connection?

Cheers

This is extremely common. We've discussed it a LOT. The negative ring is not making solid contact. Please go up to the top right, enter "thghten" in the search box, check 'this thread only', and get four pages of discussions of this, some less than a week or two old.

Going to Pak's Wiki page will also give you the answers.......

Good luck, enjoy the reading.
