Couple last minute questions.

When I switch the unit on should I fill the ELB and put it in the unit right away and let it warm up with the ELB in it, or wait until its warmed up and then put the ELB in?

I fill the HydraTube up to just above the slits right (it's the Evolver Hydratree)? How often should one change the water? How often should one clean the HydraTube, assuming daily use? Can I just use ISO or do I have to use something like what was recommended in the demo video?

Lastly, I've seen a lot of posts talking about certain HT's being "user/newbie friendly" or not and was wondering what I should pay attention to or be careful of, particularly with the HydraTree. I'd hate for me, or worse, my wife to ruin my new investment right out the gate with some rookie mistake...
I wait to put my loaded ELB in until right before hitting it. Although leaving it in the entire time wouldn't degrade your load in any real meaningful way imo.

With the HydraTree, I fill the water level to about 1 cm. above the top slits. Any lower than that and the perc doesn't seem to fully fire.

I change my water daily, and clean with ISO + salt weekly.

Enjoy your new toy!

:peace:

Congratulations on your impending Cloud. The best source for your questions is this thread; all have been discussed at length. A short-hand response . . .

Put the ELB in when the machine is ready.

Yes, just above the slits. Change the water every session. Clean regularly if not frequently if not after each session; personal preference. ISO, GO, Simple Green, etc. all do the job; again, personal pref (get a couple of corks).

Don't blow into the tube. Be careful about the fill level.

Additionally, all those torches are really a liability. I think back to my college days, if there was a super hot torch being lit off I could picture many scenarios where injuries or accidental fires could have occurred easily.

Ntm the unhealthy side effects of using those torches, not something you want to be inhaling all day.

Took a milk video of the mobius matrix with my cloud. I was surprised how tasty and smooth the rips are even on higher temp levels. Still got to mess with the water level, not really sure where the best level is yet.

Love my cloud, thanks again vapexhale labs!

If I had to guess, I'd put the Cloud around $275 and the tubes their prices on the website. Seeing that its a $599.99 package, my guess is the tube is $324.99 separately.

I'm gonna try to grab that for Christmas if still in stock :-)

I ordered my Cloud last night! The free shipping and 100 dollars off convinced me to buy myself a New Year's present instead of waiting for my birthday. Yom Tov everybody! :D I got the SSFG hydraline. IMO it looks like the most exciting hydratube so far, including the Swagger options. I have an SSFG inline a/c from my combustion days that has served me very well, so I trust their quality. I also always like to use ice when vaporizing, and it seems like the best option for that.

Congratulations Vapexhale on the win, and thank you for letting us celebrate with you by lowering your prices for the day. I'm so proud that we vaporists conquered the dabbers! I've been lurking the net and following StoneMonkey since he was testing out the Vriptech wand and the Cloud was just a gleam in his eye. It's amazing to see how far it has come since then and to finally be able to support this great company and be a part of the Cloud movement. I always knew I would get a Cloud but I didn't think it would be this soon. I literally CAN NOT WAIT for my package to arrive!

The Swagger pieces are now in the VapeXhale store - time for me to set aside some $ for the double chamber!

You're right about there, the perc is firing nicely, right now. I don't think you can go much lower, without degradation of the process. Though, try adding 1/4" - 1/2" more and check it out. I think somewhere in there, will be your happy place. Probably closer to somewhere in the middle of that range.

No, I'm not a Cloud User... but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express, last night.

I find it interesting that people claim BHO as unsafe yet no one has done an actual verifiable scientific study proving there was any solvent residue left over after a proper purge, and if there was in which way was it harmful to the body. Does anyone have any actual facts to back up these claims or is it all heresay?

So is the use of torches the most "potentially" dangerous part of dabbing? I'm sure that poorly purified oil isn't a good thing, either. Like jdee, I'd love to see some research on the safety of bho, but I think it's pretty hard to get funding for mj related research.

Is dabbing considered combustion? Would vaping more refined concentrates (e.g. ear wax and budder) be safer than dabbing? Vaping and dabbing concentrates are two separate things, right?

Sorry this isn't really a dabbing thread, but since the topic came up I figured I'd ask some questions that I've had on my mind.

Hopefully this discussion will steer people away from dabbing and towards Clouding!

The majority of the people asked if the device could use Oil
Curious SliM, how did you answer this question?
I know a lot of people use BHO-type concentrates in the cloud, but I never have because I'd want to do it with the cloud inverted in case it melted down (still haven't gotten a cloud piece)

I think Jam mentioned smearing oil on the top ELB cap to take a quick e-dab too?

Yes, that is what I did, it wasn't much, and I was careful not to be messy with it. Worked pretty good. I was thinking of trying that with an empty ELB to see how much different it is. The first one had a load of flowers in it as well.

I am pretty picky about oils, I make and use my own, with Iso or Everclear. Not heavy into using them, but it's a nice treat.

been a little over a week since i've had my cloud and i'm loving it! everything about the unit is impressive. kinda was wishing i waited for the discount, but hey, the money is going towards a good company, i love my cloud, and i got all those free elbs, so who cares in the long run.
my cloud has lead me to try vaporizing bubble hash (i had never even tried hash before this). i am very happy.
all of the hydratubes are looking great, too! i really want to try some of the other ones out (i got the evolver hydracirc). any medical patients with a nice collection of tubes in so. cal wanna hang out? hehe :brow:
thanks again vapexhale team!

At the cup when people asked about oil, I recommended that people use it inverted on their water pipes. That way if it drips down it will not go into the device.

I suppose if you only have a HydraTube, I would pack a fair amount of flowers into the ELB first to act as a sponge and hopefully soak up the oil before it flows through the ELB and into the devices heating path. Alternately you could use cotton or a tightly packed stainless-steel ball at the bottom of the ELB.

In general though I feel safer inverting it on a water pipe if I want to use concentrates. I don't like taking any risks. Call me cautious I guess.

I must have used a ridiculously small amount of oil because it was just baked onto the screen when I was done, no dripping... might be different for someone else though. Always be smart about it, don't break your cloud to get a dab!!

I got my Cloud! Had a small ELB as soon as I unpacked it, and it was amazing! Just now sitting down for a proper session. Man this thing is everything I've read it is and more. I had really, really high expectations and I'm still blown away! I kind of wish I had of caught the sale, and the new tubes, but I'm just happy to have it now and not still be waiting to switch to vaping full time. Plus the Hydratree is awesome!

Anyway, it's the best vaporizer I've ever tried, I'm very happy with the purchase. It's the first one that's ever really satisfied me enough to not feel like combusting. So glad I bought this instead of the Volcano.:2c:

Off to fill another ELB!

Edit: Oh ya, thanks to VXH for the "help" with customs!

I dont know if its been mentioned, but I have been using the q-tip trick that was popular with some of the log vapes. Just wrap one end of a q-tip (must be 100% cotton) around the concentrate and stick it in an elb.

abo27495,
Does anyone else feel like having a piece with the word swagger on it makes it look like you're a tool? Im not trying to hate on the company aha. The new tubes actually look awesome. Just wondering about your opinions.

Ordered mine Monday morning right after the sale started. I tried out the swagger with the tree perc at the cannabis cup but none were listed on the site, in my comments I asked for the bent tube version *swagger and submitted a request later that day on their support, late Monday night the swagger appeared on the site. If they had 4,000 orders Monday they are gonna be super busy. I really want the swagger version - should I give the a call to make sure my notes don't get overlooked or should I let them handle the flood of orders and hope for the best?

I can't wait to replace my old vtower extreme.

Anyone use this baby to vape full melt without a bed of green below it? I want to get this thing working with straight bubble hash.
