I will sure get another.. at least 1 :D I am dreaming about the glass VG and since my friend who smoked discovered vaporizing effects, he wants glass VG as well :)

Yea using jet-lighter with VS is little bit tricky, but after you get it, you get better hits in terms of size and taste.

Got myself an EHLE 100ml to use with my VS :)

I've been using a 14.5 mouthpiece connector before which was giving good hits, but the EHLE is just perfect for this

I just recently switched over from a Bic too a Torch (as per commendation for my Vaporgenie actually), and all I can say is... Wow. Big difference. Nice huge clean hits, and I don't combust. Taste is way different as well, never realized how much of the taste was actually the lighter I was using.
I find it is much easier too combust with a bic than with a torch flame. Why? have not figured that out yet.
Maybe cause I can taste it (the herb) more so than I have with the Bic.
I have also noticed alot less oil buildup in the screen since I have switched over too a torch.
Makes me wonder if what I was seeing was oil build up with the Bic, or resin build up from causing it too combust?

How long do you hold your torch over the VS before you start seeing vapor?

I only hold the torch too the bowl for maybe a second or so.
The torch runs way hotter than a Bic.
The reason I say it is easier too combust with the bic vs a Torch isn't because of the heat. It is because with a torch you can taste what is going inside the bowl when compared too using a Bic. It definitely has a taste when compared too the torch. The taste is different enough too make it hard too tell when you are at the end of the bowl.

Thx Devo, maybe thats the explenation I was looking for. Additionally, I think it has something to do with that the jet lighter produces quite strong air-stream which reach the lungs faster.

I just did a first. Got a little extra herb as a present the other day, figure I would have a little recreation with it and vape a little more than i usually do in one session. Was reading through the Extreme thread Vaping my bowl, wasnt paying attention and held the jet flame too the wooden bowl whilst I read. Lit my bowl on fire. :uhoh: but its only a small spot, if you count the actual square area burned when compared too a square inch that is.... Been meaning too order a few wooden bowls from Vaporstar Dave anyways. Guess now I have a reason too. the bowl is still intact, just half of it is now black.

Well, yesterday I have accomplished VaporStar session during snowboard trip to nearby mountains. It worked good but it required very long heatings due to colder weather. So the torch can be emptied easily
unfortunately, while vaping, some idiot stold me my snowboard :( .. so this incident ruined my high. I cannot understand wtf idiot will steel any snowboard. Shit country

It's a great little vape, though mine doesn't get much use since I got my Zap. If you're thinking about the Vaporstar you might want to consider the Vaporgenie. Same idea just without the glassware and it's around $50.

I've got a vaporstar, but I haven't used it one since I got my PD. I'll dust it off eventually, but probably on a night when I'm home alone. The learning curve is too steep for my significant other. It may even be too steep for me. I'll try it again a few more times before I give up.

I understood that the reason there haven't been any vaporstars available for a while has something to do with the fact that the vaporstar guy doesn't make them himself. Because it is contract manufaturing he has to have a lot of them made all at once to make any economic sense and that is a lot of up-front cash $$$.

I rarely use my VG any more. I prefer my Vaporstar way over my VG.
and as far as stocking of the VS goes, ash is right, Vaporstar Dave has all the orders done in huge batches.

Ok, I think I just figured out the vaporstar. Finally.

I got the VS about a week before the PD. Therefore, the VS was my first vape. When I got the PD, it was so much easier, I just switched over and forgot about the VS. . . . So now it's about a month later, and I've used the PD almost every day. I'm not a total noob anymore. This chat about the VS then spikes my interest and I try it again. Wow. Not nearly as difficult as it was for me before, and definitely clouds the bong a lot faster than the PD (I think because of the biger bowl). Anyway, this time around its actually a bit fun. Very much like the old smoking ritual. The VS won't ever be my daily driver - the PD is just too perfectly easy - but it is a nice complement to the PD.
