Excerpts from my posts:

"My point is that I try to live as simply as a can... Social Media further complicates my life... I am not saying Social Media is a bad thing. But for me it is... I am sure I am not alone on this. If it can only be reached on Social Media, I will miss it. I know it is my loss and it is by choice. But I refuse to play, sorry."

Yeah, I got that. You like the simple life, you won't participate in promotions involving social media. It's a choice and that's the one you made.

I meant what's your point as pertains to VXL. I get the sense that you're somehow chastising VXL because they have promotions on social media that you can't participate in because you decided to opt out.

I'm getting ready to receive my Cloud early this week and I had a couple questions for you veteran users. I read a lot of posts on here about temperature settings and using certain dial locations at certain times of the day. Can anyone sum up for me what exactly the differences are? What effects do you get out of what settings? Or is it different for everybody?

Also if anyone wants to share any tips or tricks that they learned from experience that would be awesome too!

It will be a little different for everybody. Part of the fun is finding your "sweet spot", which for me is where I'm getting a good amount of visible vapor but without a burnt taste or harshness (around 11:15am for me)

In the beginning it might be easier to fully extract at the higher temperature settings. The noon setting is a pretty good place to start.

I do think it will be some what individual, but I found I got plenty of tasty vapor in the cooler settings (10-11O'clock) high noon gives thicker vapor, and as you head towards 3 O'clock the potency also goes up as more is extracted at higher temps, but the vapor also becomes a bit harsher with the added heat. I will usually keep it around 11 or 12, unless I am feeling sensitive that day, and then I'd put it around 10. Then at night when my day is over and I am looking for an extra kick, I will push it between 1-3 O'clock to get a stronger hit. I usually keep the loads under half full.

Yes, but what temperature should he set at noon?

Wow, those were some quick replies, thanks guys. On average, how much herb fills an ELB and how many hits do you get off of it? I know this would vary depending on temp, quality of product, etc. but what's average? Also, is there any harm in leaving an ELB in the Cloud for say, half hour with the heater on in between hits?

I haven't taken the time to measure my loads, sorry I'm not much help there, I just use 2-3 pinches, most of the time, and get 3-4 good solid hits and a couple of wispy ones. To finish it off I'll usually stir it once, and get one more smaller hit. I believe leaving the ELB in the tube heats the herb when it's just left in there. I don't know this to be a fact, but it seems the times I forgot to remove it, and went to hit it again after it sat in the hot cloud for a while, it was pretty much cashed out (no vapor) so either I had already spent it, while taking my initial hits, or it sat there and cooked away, I can't be sure. Anyone actually know the answer here?

My 1/2 elb load is ~.15g and my 1/3 elb is ~.10g. I don't think I could fit .3g without packing as the top 1/3 of the ELB is not usable space due to the ELB's cap. So a "full" bowl for me would be 2/3 full and weigh ~.20g.

I have often left my ELBs "cooking" for hours at a time and I honestly don't notice any measurable degradation afterward.

:peace:

OK disagree with me, I can't force you to be right
So last week, out of the blue, this friend drops by and repays a 12 year old debt (that I had actually forgotten about), plus interest! A short while later I’m on the computer and I do my frequent check of the ALT site. YOW! Several choice pieces of glass from Mobius and SG are displaying those sweet three little words “Add To Basket”. But what to choose?

The night before I had been watching StoneMonkey’s video on YouTube “Insane Vapor Video Mobius Ion Bubbler with Matrix Perc” (
). That seemed like a perfect match for the Cloud and closest to the repayment amount.
It was fate.
Ka-ching!

Arrived here yesterday (massive packing job) and I’ve been using it steadily. In a word: a-fucking-mazing.

The massive diffusion coupled with an almost non-existant drag make it easy to overload your lungs resulting in large clouds and much coughing (see video).

My conclusion would seem to be that the more diffusion the better. I started with the stock Showerdome (that’s what came with the only package availalbe). Then when they came up I added the Inline. That was an improvement over the Showerdome, less drag and more diffusion.
And now the Mobius is almost a quantum leap over that. In addition they’ve moved the CA map logo to the rear and cleaned up the whole look of the glass. It’s extremely stable with the Cloud on it. Easy to clean and hold on to.

Under the circumstances another clear winner for the Cloud.

Guys, i'm not sure if SM wanted me to share this or not. I'll remove it if not.

I actually find the Stemless 60t easier to use with the VXC than my Vertigo hydratube just because there's less height clearance issues -- the Vertigo feels pretty tall now. Then there's the stereo matrix perc...

Looking at getting a mobius ion matrix or a sgw waffle, do you need a 45˚ adapter for the Stemless 60t?

I am loving the Cloud/Ion matrix combo myself, and my poor hydracirc is getting a bit dusty, just standing there waiting to be used.

What is the bottom HT part doing? Preventing water getting into the Cloud?

I think it's just the way they assemble the Hydratubes, but it does indeed help prevent any water going down the joint. I couldn't say whether or not the fact that it helps prevent spillage is intentional or not. Hurray for bentnecks though!

Great Scott!

Give it some love with the T1 like I do. I never use my hydracirc with my cloud. I've used it 3 times with the cloud and a couple dozen times with the T1. I think it is better suited for the T1 anyway. I see you have a bender on order as well...I expect to use mine with the hydracirc. Can't think of a better on the go water filtration device myself.
