Use of Nabilone(Cesemet) in creating Canna Oil or Budder

Hello all
Does anyone know how many milligrams of Cessemet should be used as a substitute for grams of plant matter in creating oil or butter for Cannabis cooking. I could be wrong in my thinking but I'll present my idea here. If I'm wrong please tell me. I figure good bud is say twenty percent THC, so if an ounce of weed is 28 gms, and 20% of that, or approx. 5.6 grams is THC then that would be 5600 mgs of Cesemet substituted for an ounce of weed. It seems like a really large amount to me as that would be 2800 pills. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hey O,

Up front, I haven't a clue.
IMO the first thing that might have a bearing on this...
Is "Cesemet/Nabilone" a "Plant Extract", or is it a Lab sourced "Synthetic", like "Marinol"?
FWIW: I don't believe you'll find any relevant correlation between "Synthetic" and "Plant Based",
at least as far as their use in CannaOil, or such, is concerned.

Props for the 'inquiring mind' though.

Don't be in too much of a hurry to "Plas-ti-size"(sic) our Medicine...
"Big Pharma"(imo) will join the party once they get the "Green Light",
from their drinking buddies in the "GOP" , "The Street", & "The Fed".
(If they have not already done so, that is.)

It is a synthetic so you may be right. I only ask as I am a medical patient and found that using the pills as they are was like using a cannon to swat flies. If the powder could be used in cooking this could provide a much finer control ie on a per bite basis rather than a per capsule basis. I won't to it tho if I have to experiment too much as it could be dangerous.

It's OK to enjoy your medicine.
SinceCesamet doesn't have any info published any info on THC content and Cesamet isn't THC per se.. There is no way to compare it to THC as there isn't any content info to compare. A milligram of Cesemet does not equal a milligram of THC.

You need 2 values you can compare. THC cannabinoids vs Nabilone's unique cannabinoid . That data doesn't exist to my knowledge.

Talk about a potential "Pandora's Box"...

Let me put this out there...

You are talking about substituting a "Synthetic" substance for a "Natural" one.
Got any idea how the "Synthetic" will combine with your food products?
Oil? Water? Sugars? Etc., etc...

What about when you add "Heat" into the equation?
Is that "Synthetic" going to "morph" into something else during the cooking process?
Toxic per chance? Want to "Roll those Dice?"

my $.02
