So confused stoner here you said any car charger should work so uh yea I made a paint 'masterpiece' to improve the quality of my confusion for your comprehension.. mmkay

So lets say respectively that I buy a ordinary car charger. Now here comes my dilemma do I insert number 1 into the wooden hole on number 2 to charge? and then I am somewhat confused about number 3 because it doesn't seem to have any power supply at all.. maybe after I attach number 1 into said number 2's hole then it charges TWO batteries at once and that is why they are connected like that.. so um yeah can someone clear that up for me after I posted that lost pacaso masterpiece up here for you all to behold

zythros,
The Power Adapter doesn't charge batteries at all. It allows the MFLB to be used on AC/DC power. I don't own one, but I would assume you plug the car adapter (1) into the PA (2). The AA tip (3) gets inserted into the MFLB just like you would a AA battery.

Gosh, I don't know how I misinterpreted this:

The one thing that is keeping me from buying a magic-box is that it doesn't seem to include a car charger! I looked on the official magic-flight website and they had a conventional at your house plug into the wall charger in the accessories section but no car charger! With the batteries taking a while to charge and a few buddies I know in no time my magicbox will need a recharge and I will be too messed up too mess around with batteries.. car charger is a must if anyone here knows if they do indeed offer one and I just missed it I would love a link to it! But until then I refuse to purchase!

to mean you wanted to charge batteries, not power the PA. If you want a car adapter for the PA, MF sells one:

https://sales.magic-flight.com/index.php?p=product&id=117

That's the one in your picture, sold separately.

To answer your questions, although you don't have a PA so none of this really matters, you'd insert 1 into 2 to power the PA from your car lighter. 3 is the part that goes into your LB instead of a battery. It would be obvious if you actually had one.

No, I meant a battery charger that works in the car, like this:

http://www.amazon.com/Duracell-Rech...chargeable-batteries/dp/B002FU6KA2/ref=sr_1_4

Does anybody know a good link to a review of the magic flight launch box?
You want a good review?

724 pages in this thread. By far the most popular thread on here. That enough should be a testament. Check YouTube and shit... I looove mine but something terrible happened :(

Soooooo my dumb ass left my box next to my thigh in my office chair... I readjusted myself, and after a few minutes went to get my box, but it was abnormally warm... ABNORMALLY warm. I look in the hole, and it's WHITE!

FUUUUCK!!! The ONLY thing I can take away from this... is that the topmost layer was relatively unvaped. Just a testament to how "precise" the vaporization is... I had the o-ring in and everything, just... it wedged enough to push it in... I've vaped 1.5 large trenches of the middie Blue Bubba stuff I had, except I didn't really even inhale the first half trench... ISO scrubbed the screen immediately, used a small q-tip with ISO through the mouth hole (small enough not to poke the screen up), and it still tastes like absolute... combustion :( It was a damn good trench, too... Jack Herrer :/ ISO scrubbed again a second time, and threw in a new full trench of Jack, but I'm worried. It tastes horrible and I'll NEVER SMOKE AGAIN :(

Eh, I've flamed out worse than that.

Taste goes away. Probably more in your head, at this point.
I wish. As soon as I open it up, I can smell it :(

I'm sorry, Quetzalcoatl. :( I'm sure the taste will go away after time.
I'm really hoping that it will. I'm definitely gonna give it a few more scrubs, another burn cycle or two, and hope that the fresh stuff can cover it up. This is the only thing I "dislike" about it. If it were another vape it could be cleaned better, but the wood seems to absorb the vapor... kinda like how an old pipe (for tobacco) gets the bowl "seasoned" and tastes better with time.

Straight up bluesurfboy ,
Do you find that you are going thru more stash , now that you're using the Pax ?

OK ive only really used this two days now, but here are my first thoughts.

(first since getting the device, i always was with another person, until just a few hours ago, i loaded my first personal bowl)

I have to admit i thought i was burning through more weed when compared to a MFLB when sharing with a friend, but after the first bowl we were both more than impressed with the bowl and didnt need to load another, although my daily intake, thats fairly normal, MFLB was taking 3-5 trenches depending on quality and tolerance.

Today, after my first bowl by myself, i was already happy, but now in nirvana, this is what vaping was meant to be. it wouldnt be honest to say it was the most high ive been, but it was certainly one of the most unique and defeinitely top 10 euphoric experience in all of my smoking time.

There is something to vaping weed at low, then again at medium, then again at high (if you hae a pax, and havent tried this, i cant explain how perfect those temps they choose are at getting a thorough extraction of the entire matrix without harming the lower temperature actives that get destroyed at higher temps.

This is the biggest difference over MFLB, the variable temperatures, alhtough i have not tried the PA

and i just saw an idea on the pax forum suggesting using some of the lighter abv from the previous session to "pack the bowl" on top of a smaller load size of your choice .01-.3 and then simpy pack rest with abv, if conservation is your focus. but even that is not needed and a thorough and satisfying roast can be had by stiring contents in the oven

so short answer, MFLB is hands down most conserving piece i have smoked period, for those that have difficult access to MJ makes very good sense but only downside is time it takes to medicate can be very long and inconvenient when needed faster medication and stealth.

pax however conserves more so than any other vaporization method ive tried, and the only ones i havent tried are iolite and the puffit which looks funny to me.

Yeah, it's really efficient due to the fact that the heating element is the screen and it works by convection as well as conduction. I can get just one side of a single calyx vaped, and have the rest still stay green.

How much are you putting in the Pax compared to the LB, and do you find the same amount in each vape gives a different experience?

its been a long time since i put a fully loaded trench onto my scale but i remember it was around .15 for a MFLB trench if i remember correctly, im sure others will chime in if i am wrong.

In the pax, one bowl, which currently one bowl is sufficient, im sure i will grow a tolerance to even this device, but as of right now, pax holds about .25 from a video i saw of someone doing a full demo/review on YT.

I would say the uniquely euphoric feeling makes one bowl easily equal in terms of satisfaction to 2-3 MFLB but even at 1 pax bowl and 2 MFLB would be a more accurate comparison.

with the MFLB, i also found that only the bottom was getting burned, so i found a method to hit it from underneath diagonally up against the side of the unit either while vaping or in between hits to "flip/stir" the herb to work well in getting best extractions leaving dark brown, almost black ABV (i suaulyl stopped there, to avoid unpleasant taste.

bluesurfboy,
My MFLB combusted once well over a year ago. The taste and smell did go away and I don't remember it taking very long.

These new batteries I'm using like to get stuck, I've had a few near incidents recently.

I've had an accident like that and you're condemned to three or four trenches with that awful taste. Don't bother doing more ISO scrubs, they don't help after the first one. You just have to be patient and suffer through it. The taste always goes away as far as I know. There are many reports of this in the thread.

I think the correct ratio is 3-1. Even if you packed it down (which you definitely should not) the LB trench only holds about .1g. The Pax, packed down, holds about .3g of the same stuff. The Pax exposes way more surface area to the heating surface, so when you draw you are vapourizing a lot more material than when you hit the LB. This is why the LB takes you longer and why the Pax delivers thick vapour.

Whether the Pax approaches the LB in conserving your stash depends largely on how you use your vapourizer. If you sit down and do hit after hit until you are zonked, then the Pax will get you there faster but will use more weed. If you take one or two hits and wait for the effects, not taking another hit for 15-20 minutes, then the LB will consume less than the Pax. That's because you waited. Vapour doesn't hit as fast as smoke, and most people would use less weed if they took 2-3 hits and stopped until they felt it. Chain-hitters are likely to overshoot and use more.

If you need .3g to reach your objective then the Pax will get you there faster. If you don't, the Pax will use up your stash faster. I can get 15-20 decent hits from a trench, so 45-60 from .3g, but if I load the Pax once I'm lucky if I get 15 hits even stepping up low-med-high. Since a Pax hit doesn't get me higher than 3 LB hits, the way I vapourize means the Pax is a lot less efficient in conserving my weed.

I was taking a short break (was at 2 days) and something came up last night that made me want to vape. My DBV has been put away and clean for the past few days and I didn't want to bother with it.

MFLB-exclusive evening. One decent sized trench (almost full) and... darn... I was feeling great for 2-3 hours. I forgot how respectable this little box can be. I wasn't blasted but I'm sure, if I wanted to be, another smaller trench would have done it.

The whole chain-hitting deal with the MFLB is very true. It makes chain hitting great, actually. I can't count the number of times I decided to get obliterated and was planning on running through 3+ trenches only to get to trench #2 and get too high to continue. Conservation even during sybaritic moments... GGMFLB? Unfortunately, the learned behavior of chain hitting makes switching to cloudier vapes a little awkward.

Off topic: It also made me realize how quickly my tolerance drops off. Low body fat %, a healthy lifestyle and a fast metabolism probably all work in my favor, but I've noticed it only takes a few days to have a really tangible drop in tolerance. I think I'm going to start spacing out my sessions a little more. It's definitely more enjoyable that way.

Count me in, too. I've been known to chain a trench or two through the glass. I don't ever make it past the second trench really, either. Maybe halfway through the third, but at that point I'm prone to forget that I'm supposed to inhale through the water pipe to make the vape work... :|

Haven't posted in a while, so here we go.

Ordered the MFLB last December after briefly owning the No2. It arrived at my house on New Years eve.

For those of you reluctant to buying this vape, DON'T BE. This thing kicks my ass everyday. A single trench can last this guy (who used to smoke 3 or more blunts a day) for hours. I personally like to vape mine until they have a certain flavor, not based on total hits or color, and once I get blasted I find I will forget I'm vaping for about half hour intervals while playing playstation. The thing just sits on my lap until I remember I have it.

I also think it is beyond efficient. Based on my calculations, one blunt is about 7 trenches worth of bud (depending on how fat you like them of course) and I rarely go beyond 3 trenches a day. Even my dealer has commented on how much less I've been seeing him. Plus, save the abv in a jar in your freezer and you can make QWISO every two weeks or so!

As far as how stealthy it is, this bad boy has made several trips to Yankee Stadium with me (and has ever been used while a cop was within ten feet) and nobody was wise to it.

So yeah, the vape is worth the price. So is the wall adapter. And with a lifetime warranty it's a no brainer.. If you're a blunt smoker it's about the price of 60 dutches so if you use it for a month it's already paid for itself.

Hope this helps.

I agree with everything here EXCEPT the number of hits and quality, i got 25-30 hits before taste went downhill on pax, and good full vapors with a pleasant taste when starting at each temp. i remember on MFLB, taste degrades very quickly after first few hits. ( i have not tried the PA, but with the one temp the battery supplies (dropping strength as battery loses power) but again this is more from memory, as i have no used MFLB lately.

OVerall of course the MFLB will conserve more if you are low tolerance and want to get feeling for least material possible, sometimes however the time required is just simply not available, and where pax comes into play, still much slower than home devices, but gets the job done in a stealth manner thats easily overlooked, people think im sucking on a mp3 player of something
