That finishing grinder is definitely on my want-list! especially in a nice darker wood..

I was wondering, can anyone tell me if there is some option, perhaps by emailing someone from the company, to reduce shipping costs by extending the time it takes to ship something from magic-flight? I was about to order a couple new batts, a new brush, some bands, etc, but the shipping was more than the cost of the items.. I understand why that is, I just can't beat out my cheapo-reflexes and take that plunge..

I think you can see the difference.

Big difference. Still not as fine as a secondary finger grind. But about as fine as you can get with a hand grinder. I do really like how it fits into the MFLB trench.

Fact is it contains the herbal material very well!

Damn I really want this Aqua Vape for the MFLB but it's too big for my purposes. I wish they made one like 4 inches long so I could just fit it in my pocket. I'd happily pay $30-$40 for a mini one!

I'm not saying it's bad, I just wish they'd roll both their regular and finishing grinder into one piece. It'd be a no-brainer purchase for me.

Hi,

If the material is nice and dry, you can pinch off a couple of bits and put directly into the Finishing grinder -- it will give good results when used by itself. Pre-grinding with the Nano grinder is best in situations where the material has moisture in it.

As far as the difference is concerned, this is the image we are planning to post in our Blog about the grinder:

Enjoying your'e damiana based herbal blends so much through water with my desktop vapes and including the box.I feel peaceful relaxed and a waterpiece cools, blends and leaves the hits fresh and uplifting.i am left with a smile on my face every time.

Any insight or developments re a stem style dedicated waterpiece for the box in the future?.Something along the lines of the aquavape with a better mouthpiece which would plug straight inline .The Avape would work beautifully if made a little smaller with a tapered mouthpiece and the hose connecter removed. It could be enclosed in a removable silicone sleeve like the EQ tuffbowl as an option to prevent breakages.

I like the idea of water filtration on the move.there are an increasing number of users lusing water full time because of the larger cooler flavoursome hits that can be had and also the benefit of less congestion and breathing difficulties down the track due to particulates entering the lungs i have noticed since I have started using water my health has improved.it would be nice to have water filtration on the go too.:2c:

looking into this the Magic flight Box works best when used horizontally. How easy would it be to create a non spill bubbler stem that could be used horizontally with it and also would suit the sleek profile and design of the magic flight launch box?

Ps I love the MF finishing grinder pillbox style holder .i wonder will it be available to order separate? .perfect size for meds on the go :peace:

after years of happy vaping through the MFLB, the pax is now my best friend

Interesting. The MFLB didn't change, has your tolerance gone up such that you now are looking for more THC than the trench holds? If so, did it happen gradually or fairly quickly?

TIA

Hi,

We have been looking at things along these lines. Working with glass requires a very different kind of tooling than we currently have on hand (we are mostly setup as a wood shop), and so it will be some time yet before we are ready for a new release in this area. I can say that it is on our mind though.

The tin for the grinder is lined with felt (not so good for herbs). We did this to ensure that the grinder would not rattle around in the Tin while it was in your pocket. Having things be as quiet as possible is part of our style. We could potentially offer a version of the tin that does not have the felt lining. I will ask about that.

For more information on the new Finishing Grinder, we wrote up some notes, images, etc on our blog http://blog.magic-flight.com/ One important thing I forgot to mention earlier is that this grinder also has a lifetime warranty.

very gradually, and i would cycle using 1-2 months and take a break from it and let my tolerance subside. it seems like i was building a specific tolerance not only to strains used, but methods for inhale/consumption

I've had this for a few years now. no complaints. well except i was going through batteries like no other from local stores until i got the right ones online.

Thanks for the information. Never thought about the strain aspect. Off to lunch now, but with food for thought......

No doubt about it, careful battery selection is real important. IMO MF did their homework well, it's a good place to start.

Thanks again.

Hi,

This concurs with our observations as well. Variation of technique may help to some extent (did you try micro-hitting? -- it is the least susceptible to this effect).

The right batteries can make a huge difference. We have also found that to be the case. Do you happen to have a PA? That can also make a big difference as far as tolerance is concerned.

i tried the micro hitting, and that does help indeed, i am overall satisfied with the MFLB as a product, it stood in its niche without any competitor since it came out.

Whats a PA?

A PA is a power adapter (see AC Power Adapter in Vaporpedia) and it does indeed change the LB into a different animal. The PA and the ability to be at least twice as efficient at extraction are the reasons I will not be switching to the Pax as a daily driver. I understand that some people want the instant extraction of everything in a big cloud, but the loss of flavour and doubling the rate that I go through my stash are too big a price to pay.

Power Adapter. Not only eliminates the battery and keeps the output constant but you can dial up the power you want, even more than batteries can give you on a good day.

If you can get past the 'plug it into the wall' part, it's neat indeed.

The one thing that is keeping me from buying a magic-box is that it doesn't seem to include a car charger! I looked on the official magic-flight website and they had a conventional at your house plug into the wall charger in the accessories section but no car charger! With the batteries taking a while to charge and a few buddies I know in no time my magicbox will need a recharge and I will be too messed up too mess around with batteries.. car charger is a must if anyone here knows if they do indeed offer one and I just missed it I would love a link to it! But until then I refuse to purchase!

Magic-Flight doesn't sell a car charger, but the good news is that any good car charger will do. There is nothing special about the MF chargers.

PA Stands for Power and Adapter. It is a plug bound electrical device that turns normal household voltage into a variable range (1v - 2vdc roughly) that allows you to replace the batteries for home sessions. Or wherever you might find yourself with access to regulated 115vac. They even make an adapter that allows you to use the voltage supplied by your car sockets.

This consistent voltage, also gives you... what? Someone already covered this? Like 10 in a row? Really? Naw...

Carry on. :D

I still haven't jumped on the PA bandwagon. Or the WPA for that matter. Heck, I guess if I'm going to order the PA and WPA, I may as well also order the FG too.

I see your point but I personally wouldn't give up my PA for anything in the world. It's the one "accessory" I feel I must have in order to transform my box from a good vape into a great vape. :2c:
