Is there any insight on using a 1765o iMR 1200-mah.

Are you looking for something similar to powerpax for a different battery?
Hmm...not sure what you are asking, Volcantv. I use the batterty that TV sells specifically for the TV Evo.

I didn't even know one exists, do you have a link for it?

It's an odd size battery physically, based I understand on the 123 format for the killer flashlight guys, just slightly smaller than the normal 18 mm ones. 65 mm is a bit short as well, it might not work in the TV for that reason.

Performance wise, the factory battery is very hard to beat. It's designed from the get go to be high output (powerful flashlights again), in my brief testing it was slightly beat by an AW IMR 18650 but beat out 'run of the mill' IMR 18650. It also has a considerably larger capacity (longer battery life), and being a protected Li-ion cell has a much longer expected lifetime. I might want to try one (I'm that sort), but don't see shifting over to such a new comer.

FWIW, I think TV did a serious job on their homework and are constantly on the prowl looking for just such improvements. If this guy exists and performs better, I expect them to switch over for us.

I'm torn. i have some winnings to spend at TV and i'm hesitating between getting an Evo or a T1 for my brother. I don't think he'll be as patient as I was in getting the evo technique down. Can someone who owns both shed a light on my dilemma?

Polmol,

Dangus

Yeah, well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.
I recently got the evo and have been using it sleeveless with a extended UFO mouthpiece. With the sleeve, I just keep sucking the herb up and out/against the top of the sleeve. Overall, with the slight mod, I like it. A smaller bowl is nice for keeping the taste fresher, and the draw seems less restricted than the T1. Sometimes though, I don't feel as if I'm extracting as much as I do from the T1.

For the T1, as stated above, I feel the herb gets more fully extracted. The taste of a full bowl is still very quality in comparison. You do have to stir, but a very minimal drawback, also if you consider the bowl size, it seems I'm having to reload the evo 2 or 3 times to get me where I am with a single T1 bowl. So you're either stirring or reloading...

Overall, I prefer the T1, while the wife prefers the Evo. For her, it's about the less restricted draw.

One other factor, if you're also considering a Rev, the interface is the same as the Evo, so you only need the carts.

Hope this helps...Ima go vape one

My batts are 17670s I got through TV. I'm not sure where 17650 came from. All these numbers mean nothing to me. lol

The battery numerical designation is related to its size.
The first two digits are the diameter in millimeters. ex. 18650s or 18350s are 18 mm around. 14500s are 14 mm and 10440s are 10 mm.
The next three digits are the CELL size in tenths of a millimeter. So a 17670 is 17 mm in diameter and about 67.0mm in length. Likewise a 14500 would be 14mm around and about 50.0 mm in length (a typical AA is usually referred to as a 14505). I have to say "about" when mentioning the length because the number is the CELL size - add a button top (about .5mm) and a protection circuit (usually about 2-4mm more) and the wrapped battery can be significantly longer - commonly 18650 protected cells are about 68mm long though an IMR will be very close to 65mm. (and the 17670 is intended to be twice the size of RCR123As - which are nearly "17340"s)

Hope this helps,

Thanks for the update. I've never tried them, they're protected cells (like the 17670), not IMRs so I seriously doubt they'd do as well as the 17670 supplied. But it could be worth a try......

Here are the ways I use both the REV and DART. On the left is a REV body in an old Tank type atomizer. Keeps the mess where it should be. On the right is my DART in a burnt out Ego T atomizer. Just removed most of the guts and IIRC used a drill bit?? Used a extender to get the hieght up above the rim and works like a charm. I leave it all together.

nice so all i need to do is dump an ego t atomizer and put it w a gripper extention?
It was a standard extender from MadVapes. Called battery extension. $1.99
Really like that rubbery feel the Ego has.

EDIT: It has been so long since I took it apart I thought I'd see how I made it fit together so tightly. I used about a 1/2 inch of medical tubing to secure the extender into the Ego sleeve. I would imagine proper sized O ring(s) would do as well.

Nice. Pipes, you and OF are the Obi-Wan and Yoda of all things TV.

How does the tank feed the Revolution? Is it just through the window of the Rev? What type of concentrate do you use with this setup?

Thanks for the comment. We play tag team.
Naw, the tank is not a feeder. It just takes the place of the upper portion of the REV, which leaves the window open. To fill, I remove the whole top cylinder from the clear plastic up, which gives access to the unit as if you take the top stock section off. The difference been the mess stays contained as well as been able to see the vapor been produced. I just fill the same as the DART. I cut the plastic down so the top just touches the bottom of the drip tip. This part doesn't need to be air tight because rest is it air tight so there is zero air leakage which has been a complaint about this unit. I do get the odd spatter out the window but just hits the inside of cylinder. Can reclaim this when doing a cleaning anyhow.

Awesome. I'm definitely gonna have to try out these mods.

If you don't mind me asking, what's in the tank? How much?

Can always ask. The tank is empty, maybe needs cleaning.... I have started making my own ISO lube from my ABV.
Have fun with them.

Thanks Tim. Getting the technique down on them.
Once you use it, it's hard to go back. Going to only make the full face unit from now on.

Cool. Very interested in what you find. Off hand 'more for less' sounds like one of those 'too good to be true' deals; I'd be very interested in how it's done......

Please let us know.
