Thanks so much Vito for the video on installing the extra rings in the old design style log vape. Those extra rings only work for the top install, non insulated log vape design. That old design with no insulation around the heat core will make for a loose heatport after some time. That is one reason we went to the CRZ design, to keep the heatport tight for a long time.

Thanks to everybody else who has contributed to our thread this last month. It has been over a month since the event and still no word. Legal stuff can be very confusing for us lay people to understand and sometimes the right way to go is very frustrating but we do what we are told to do.

So a little announcement(again) is due all you fine people keeping AZ alive. I am going to drop out of FC even more than I have the last month. I just cannot come back to FC with any real enthusiasm until we figure out what will come from the event of 7/25, so I am going to stay away from FC to maintain some sanity. We also have several projects in the works including a very special Pagan celebration at the full moon this Friday which is also a Blue Moon.

Life goes on even with Aromazap dead in the water currently. I will answer questions via Email but the answers may be short, not like the old days.

Thanks again to all our old friends and customers. You have expressed much care and concern for our plight and it does help us alot.

Over 'n Out for now..................

Update on the retaining ring fix: the brass Cherry Zap and PD that I had sidelined (because their cores became so loose and they were charring a new area every time the core shifted position) are now nice and tight and fully usable! It's just like getting two new vapes.

Whoa, that the hell is going on around here? I check out of FC for a few weeks and everything goes to hell in a handbasket! What is this about Rick getting raided?! What?!?! And CRZ is now down and out? Can someone please point me to the page where all this begins so I can begin piecing together the story?

Rick, man, I don't yet know what exactly happened, but I am so sorry man. And whoever started some stupid rumor about you creating this story is an asshole. I don't even yet know what the full story is and I can pretty confidently say that's bullshit. Of all the designers on here, you have always been one of the most up-front and involved. It just doesn't make logical sense that you would fabricate something like this and for what? Enough of that. It's not even worth giving voice. As a huge fan of the zap, I apologize for whatever dickhead even thought that. After all this, you don't need that kind of shit. Please do know that does not even come close to representing your core customers' beliefs.

hey Vitolo do you think you could put up a guide on how to clean the Zapubbler? prefferably how to clean and salvage the oil, but if not at least how to clean it. i just tried really cleaning mine for the first time a few days ago. i wasted probably 50% of the oil that was in there, but just what i did manage to get out i have been using for the last 3 days straight, and i am just now running out. i also couldn't get it completely clean. the top of the internal glass tube has a stubborn spot on it (just a thick layer of oil)where all the vapor gets focused.

Rick, I hope that one day you can come back to fc with high spirits, your presence will be missed here sir...

Haven't posted since May. Been busy and trying to catch up on here when I could. I decided to post to let everyone know my Zap aromatherapy device is still a powerhouse. And survived its' first real drop. Slipped right out of my hand. Took it like a champ. I knew it would, but I do my best to hold on to it.

Then I find this tragedy. Just shocked and kind of at a loss. I'm sure it's been said (still have pages to read), but I'll throw it out there again. Anything we can do to help, please let us know. Take care and try to keep it mind, it's just a bump in the road of life, it will right itself.

So about a month or two ago I was using my vvps with the zap and it shut off. Ever since then it hasn't worked. When I plug it in the lights don't even show up.

Does anybody know what might have happened? It's never fallen or been roughly handled so it doesn't make sense for it to stop. Thanks.

here for the chicks
I'm assuming you're talking about the power supply shutting down, not the zap?

Have you checked the fuse? I don't know which one you have but I'm sure it must have one.

OTA: I have the basic power supply and yes the power supply doesn't turn on. Not the zap. When it happened I took it apart enough to take out the fuse box type slot on the back. I took the replacement fuse that was provided and switched them but nothing happened. I think I'm going to try checking that out again.

EDIT: So I just tried the vvps with the power supply plug from my television and it worked. :)
So now I have to find out if I can buy a replacement cord.

Actually I'll need one like this. I think this one will work so I'm gonna order it soon.

Edit: Boy oh, oh boy it looks like I'm meddled with zap problems today. Alright so my male dc power jack seems like it is the cause of me needing to switch back to the ac transformer. Back when I had to snip the dc transformer cable and put the power jack on it everything worked but yesterday I came home and my log was cold. Now since getting my vvps to work again I think that the dc power jack is the cause of the problems. When I plug the zap onto the vvps I don't see the small dip in voltage that I used to. So i've concluded that the power jack is my problem so I may order some.

Vito, thanks for all your fine vids helping so many vaporists. You help many people get through common vaping tasks so much easier.
Pre Stoned, looks like you have zeroed in on the problem. The power cord from the VV to the Zap still has the same 5.5 x 2.1 mm FEMALE plug that can eventually get a broken wire right next to the plug. The plug looks male but is female because of the tiny hole in the middle of the male looking end. The small pin in the center of the Zap mounted plug makes it the male. Send me your mailing address and I will send you a new factory wire/plug. You can splice it right in to the old one for a longer power cord. I would not mess with the plug that goes into the VV. I can offer this because 'they' did leave a few of those on my bench while taking almost everything else. I will also hand label the padded mailer and use postage stamps because we have no shipping software and I am officially out of anything Zap related at this time. I think a power cord shipped will be safe, even in Idaho.
Still no news. The wait continues but with a timeline, thank God. There will be much to say some day this fall.
In the meantime, Howling Hills Farm is kicking ass. Excellent weekly sales continue even past Labor Day. Our only customer expanded their convention facilities which means they need more of our special stuff. Cherry tomatoes, lettuce, edible flower pedal mix and still lots of summer squash and a few pounds of Basil. Today Pat and I make Cherry Tomato Salsa while Mike and love deliver a big load and deal with town.

Sorry to hear about ask the issues over in Zapville. I came over to this thread because I tried going to the aromazap Web page last night to order some more stems. I have an old brass port aromazap, and unfortunately have lost my last stem. Since I can't get an "official" stem does anyone know of an alternative simple nylon stem that fits the older style brass port zaps?

Thanks for the offer Rick but I've already ordered the replacement jacks and power cord for the vvps. These are the male dc jacks that I ordered since the other one I had stopped working. They are the ones that shipped out with the early vvps cord or for transformers that had wires fray near the jack, are they not?

Hi annemarie33 and welcome to the forum. You can try contact Ed of EdsTnT. He makes/made stems out of wood for the Zap and still has a few in stock.

Thanks mom, I did see the stuff about ed's but was hoping there was a way to just get some less expensive vinyl ones. I will go with eds if nothing else is available.
