Ok, but how do you use them with a hydratube? I just can't picture the setup. Any have a pic?

Quick question:
If the heat cup is full on hot and I put the plastic cover on, will the plastic be burnt/meted by the temperature of the device?

So..i am in the market for a new portable vaporizer. The Arizer Solo is one of my 2 choices, next to the Thermovape T1.

I am wondering about a couple things though and i hope some folks can help me out.
A: Is there somebody who has both? And which one do you prefer/use most and why?
B: This probably is a stupid question but..what are SS screens?
C: How harsh is the vapor of both? I would think the Arizer Solo will be less harsh because i can do low temp vaping without taking too much effort.

I have the Iolite and the MFLB which i both like, although the Iolite isn't seeing much use nowadays..It was a good vape at the time i bought it, because there weren't as many alternatives as now.

Hi elevation! I am using the Solo for quite some time now and have used the T1 for enough time to draw my conclusions. So,

A) I prefer the Solo combined with a vapor lung, a GonG stem and a 18/14 GonG reducer because: it gives me better taste (no burnt particles), more consistent hits due to visual feedback and set temps, less harsh vapor for my throat and teeth, it doesn't get uncomfortably hot to hold, it needs a lot less maintenance, it's more fool proof for non vaporist friends, it makes for an infinitely better party vape, it gives a more comfortable overall session, it's less expensive to purchase and to own, you never think of batteries (just plug when not in use, like a cellphone) and I stop now as I can take this even further...

B) stainless steel screens which you put inside the stem to get better airflow and less debris in your mouth

C) with the standard glass stems it depends on the temp and length of draw. Both can have very smooth or very harsh vapor. It's all about the user. Solo is better for pairing with a bubbler, bong or a vapor lung though, as you don't have to hold any button during the hits.

It all depends on what you are looking for after all. For general portability the Solo is hard to beat but for stealthy scenarios the T1 is a better design. If you need stealth, I would recommend an Inhalater over the T1. Or a PAX. The Inhalater is a very close opponent to the Solo and with very few drawbacks. Just a more expensive ownership and maintenance (until the herb chambers' price drops) and a little more cleaning.
Hope I have helped... :)

Yes!

So finally I was able to order 1 liter of Absolute Ethanol (100% clean and good for drinking)

So I can finally use a tiny tiny bit in a qtip to grab gathering from wood stem...and finally I can dip it with about 60gram of ABV at 200C...

Perhaps I'll make a ABV rum or something...suggestions ? lol

I got up today and was treated to the lovely surprise of my M107 being broken. Even the AC adapter would not allow it to work. When you try to turn it on the blue lights flash but then as it should show the battery meter it just powers off. The same happens with the AC adapter but it just loops. So I'm sat here completely straight first thing in the morning for the first time in years having sold all my other vapes. I've only had my M107 about 6 months as a replacement for my stinky M105. I have a hunch that if I remove the battery then perhaps the AC adaptor will start working but I'm not 100% and I'm dubious about trying to unscrew it as when I tried on my M105 the heads of the screws just sheared off with little force using the correct screw driver. Anyhoo I emailed Arizer so we'll see what they say. Anyone else out there had this?

Update: Tried taking battery out but it does the same still. So it would seem to be totally naffed up. Still no reply from Arizer email either.

Call the place where you got it from.

I.E. I bought it from Puffitup, and was told to contact them if something went wrong, rather than Arizer.

Anything unusual happend the night before?

BTW, are you sure the battery is charged? Sounds stupid but keep it simple.

I know when using the AC adapter it uses a small amount of battery power as well.

I know you said it flashes to the battery meter after the blue led, but what mine does is blue led, then flash to 7, then battery, then current temp.

Plug it into the wall charger and see if it charges.

@ili thank you, and yes you did help me. I think i will be going for the Solo. If i need stealth my MFLB is the way to go. I just want an awesome vape to use when i am hanging out with friends or just at home puffing away.

The Inhalater seems like a really awesome vaporizer, but i want to buy mine in a store. I am from the Netherlands and do not know of any stores selling them. I know the Arizer Solo is easy to get in the stores and it seems like a really good portable too.

That vapor lung you have right there is pretty awesome. It will make it a great party vape too.

Thank you for your advice!

Hello everybody,

First post here but been reading the forum for a while. Just wanted to say thank you to all of you for all the detailed information, advice and passion about vaporizers. After months of careful deliberations, I finally bought a Solo today ( I originally thought of getting the Davinci). It is my first vape and I can't wait to use it. Emailed Vaporlot.com today and they gave me free next day delivery so I'll be getting it tomorrow. They were very reassuring and friendly. It's a new M1D and cost £159.

I'll let you know how I get on with it, although I won't have any basis for comparison as I've never vaped before.

Does anyone know where I can find the MFLB battery caps for sale in the UK/EU? Does anyone have a recommendation for a suitable camera case for the Solo that I can buy from the UK/EU?

Once again, thank you all for opening my eyes to the world of vaporizers.

Maybe their is just more competition in the vape market in the USA? Besides Rockwise and Planetvape are their any big vape retailers? Their are plenty in the USA. Still, it doesn't make much sense.

Welcome to FC, you made a really good choice with the Solo...I'm sure you won't be disappointed. I am pretty sure Vitolo posted here in this forum regarding recommendations on inexpensive carry cases. Personally, I use a Pelican Case for my solos. Don't hesitate to ask questions, that's what this forum is for. Good luck with the switch to vapors, it's a different world.

Hi everyone about to get my solo tomorrow, just wanted to hear if anyone has any draw tips. It seems it comes down to preference, and from what Ive read is that the solo doesnt really require a draw technique like the mflb, t1, or wispr. To those that use double screens do you find using screens with wider holes better. Are two screens overkill? Thanks for the help

Ps should i do anything special when i first get it ie:charge it, deplete it, burn off manufacturing residue?

So I figured out that if I unplug my charger from the WALL outlet, my Solo powers back on, but if I unplug it from the SOLO jack(charger still plugged into outlet) it stays shut off! Interesting.

I'd make sure to set it at 7 and wait for it to heat up to that level. That way you bypass any problems with the stems fitting.

I've noticed that the straight stem is tighter fitting than the bent. With that said, make sure to wiggle the stem a bit in order to find the right spot without an obstructed air path when vaping. It's not needed, but I've gotten slightly better results that way.

Watch out with the bent stem, though. Mine gets loose towards the end of the bowl because of the heat and appears to be able to slip out if I move my solo In a drastic way.

I personally only use 1 screen (domed) on each stem.

Yeah, pack it up and enjoy a session. The solo is plug and play - its important that you play with the settings to find your sweet spot. Enjoy it, it's the gift that keeps on giving. Oh, and I don't know anyone who uses 2 screens.

Both of my Solos do this. It's normal.

I use two screens one near the glass holes and One one the steel heater domed giving a more convection style vape as the bud does not touch the steel heater so the hot air passes through , just my prefrence

I just had the same experience. Was charging over night, unplugged it from the wall this morning, and the unit powered on. I just tested this and you are absolutely correct. Thanks for figuring this out and clearing that mystery up!!

First, I just want to say that I love my Solo! I now use it in my bedroom every night. I still hit the Cloud until I'm ready for bed, but the Solo is great because there is no cord and I can use it in bed until I'm medicated enough for sleep.

Now, I would LOVE to hook this up to a small glass bubbler, or a hydratube. I have asked a couple of times, but didn't get any concrete answers about how to use it with a bubbler. I mean, I know I can just stick the stem in 14mm joint, but is there a GonG connector for this yet?

I want to buy some cool stuff to go with this Solo, maybe different stems or something. Any recommendations?

Tstat, I use the GonG stem from Planetvape for vaporbonging with my Solo. They will be releasing a new version of the GonG stem (PVHES GonG) that promises to provide better airflow with less restriction, however the release of the PVHESGONG (now THAT's one hell of an acronym) sadly has not arrived yet.

Yea but they've been out of stock with almost all aftermarket stems for weeks now.

No stealth adapter, PVHES stems, or GonG in 14 or 18. Wanted to get a PVHES stem and a PA weeks ago but ended up getting the PA from somewhere in the states instead.

you can keep up with PlanetVape's updates here: http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/p...for-the-best-vapes-on-the-planet.4404/page-23

They just announced maybe early next week for PVHES stems to be available. I hope it's true. I have been seriously wanting one of the PVHES GONG stems... they make them in 14 and 18 (I go with no carb). The "shortie" stem is the same length as the others, it's just got a smaller bowl on the end, so you can be conservative. I got the regular size PVHES straight stem on the first batch, and it is amazing compared to stock stems!! So much easier to draw through, and more vapor.

For now, since most of the GonG stems are out, your option is basically sticking teh stem into the 14mm opening.

Creates a perfect seal BTW and works pretty dang good, just gotta hold the Solo while hitting it. I do it all the time with my 12" tube.
