I have been into glass pretty hard for the past year and a half. Girlfriend telling me "its me or the glass" type shit. but fuck that i need one of these. i love my luke wilson pieces. But the 15 arm broke and the vertigo king bub was just not a great replacement, too big but love it. how would this mount up to a mobius? i have narrowed it down to those two. cant wait to use with the vxc.

Its pretty F*ucked up how DG wants to make a name for himself so he steals an idea that has been in the scientific glass industry for over 15 years and in the pipe industry for 5 that i know of. And tries to be the first mother F*UCKER to get a patent for use of frit for filtration in all smoking accessories. (Things would be diff if DG just patented his design of it in stemless tube but he didnt) Primo has been using the frit cup at the bottom of their down stems for years. Ive seen frit screens for vaps. Shit even ZOB made a proto water pipe with a frit perc years ago. So dont claim your an artist that needs to protect his work. Your just as much of a knockoff artist as everyone else but you want sole rights to an idea you stole. In fact Primo frit pipes are so much cheaper in price then a DG, I hope if they are still around that they crush your market because karma will bite DG in the ass he may get his patent but see if he makes a name for himself because grasscity and fuck combustion both have numerous bad reviews about DGs function ,cosmetic defects and not to mention the big $$$$ DG markets his tubes at.

mod note- Even though 'Fuck' is not a dirty/banned word here, calling someone motherfucker, no matter how you spell it or format it, is against the rules.

Runn you do realize that all "ideas" from these glass artists are stolen right? they can all be learned from scientific glass blowing, not art glass or functional art glass blowing. Do you see HOPS complaining that everybody is using inline? No it is a part of the evolution of glass. What about luke complaining about people doing more the 10 arms? It is simple econimics. Is it in bad taste to try and patent the idea, yes. But dont be an ass about it because you aren't the one being ripped off.

Mod note: If you feel someone is breaking the rules or causing some kind of problem, don’t try to deal with it yourself. Use the Report feature located near the bottom of each post.

I have worked sales in the pipe industry for 8 years thats why i dont like how DG is saying he is an artist that needs to protect his product. He is trying to monopolize on frit perc in pipes. And yea i can be an ass the primo frit bub above was purchased 2 years ago by a friend of mine and im the one who put vid on youtube and i saw what DG is claiming when a FC member messaged me on youtube and directed me to this tread. So yea i feel i have a right to say what i said considering how the frit cup on a down stem was used years ago but DG thinks he needs to collect royalties on a product produced before his patent.

To tell you guys the truth I quit using both of my DG pieces the mini can and the 18inch tube. Since I got my Mobius I just prefer it allot more. It has been over a week since I have used either of the DG pieces. There is allot less drag and not as much suction required to pull through the Mobius piece. I think the DG was affecting my TMJ from the increased suction. My jaw was starting to lock up and had been sore ever since I started using the DG. When I stopped the jaw started to loosen up. A week later it is starting to pop now, which is a good sign. It means maybe in another few weeks I will be back to a more normal level of TMJ symptoms.

Has anyone one else with TMJ has issues with their DG pieces?
See a c-1 (atlas) chiropractor. I got tmj from a badly patched implant years ago. It's nasty, I know. It is primarily a chiropractic issue, c-1 chiropractors (they're kind of rare) fix it fastest.
BTW, my piece had nothing to do with it. If It did, I'd have it back.

Quick question.

Ive been looking at the mini can and the only worry I have is the fact that the mini doesnt come with the small fritted disc that goes over the male joint that I believe is for combustion? (correct me if I'm wrong about any of this). Why does the mini can not come with those?

I would only be using it with my solo but my girlfriend still enjoys combusting sometimes so if the mini isn't sufficient for both of us then I would get the less asthetically appealing straight tube. I would rarely dab since oil doesn't come around often to my area and it takes me awhile to save enough abv to make it. Any advice is appreciated. :)

The disks are for the larger 21mm downstems and will not fit on the mini-can downstem.

I've been thinking of trying to "trim down" one of my filter discs to fit on my mini cans DI joint.
I just have NFI how to do so without it breaking...

I started using one in my straight tube, and even for vapeing, it keeps it a fair bit cleaner.
I notice that the LSV seems to let a decent amount of particles through the screen, not much per hit/bowl, but over time it builds up...
With the disc, all I have to do is wipe it off, and it's good to go (I will need to give it an ISO soak soon though )

I've been trying to give my other pieces some love, but my fritters have been my most used pieces for a while now

That style fritted is sweet VapeNStone. I've seen them around, but can't find them for sale. Is there anywhere to purchase them online?

So I finally have enough cash saved up to purchase one of these fritters! I've narrowed it down to a 14" or 16" straight tube convertible 24/25 mm joint. I have a few questions before I order it tomorrow.

1) I'm going to be using this with my arizer solo. I have one of Eds stems. Will Ed's stem fit in the adapter it comes with? How close would the solo be to my face in the 14 or 16?

2) With the 14 being so short is splashing in your mouth going to be an issue? I like the rooster foot base on the smaller ones than the hexagon base.

Any other advice or input is appreciated as well :)

Tj I know there are only 3 places to get them online. NVS and ALT sell them and I haven't seen one of the colored ones on their websites in a week or so but you can call them and ask. You can also try ordering directly from Dave at Roosterapparatus.com. :)

Ed's stems fit into a 14mm joint.
If you get a convertible, the adapter will have a 18mm joint.
You'll need a 14-18 adapter.

Here's a pic of my Bog Wood stem in a 14-18 reducer:

And here's a link to the same adapter on PlanetVape:
http://www.planetvape.ca/glass-18mm-to-14mm-reducer-lowpro.html

I have a 13-14" tube, I mainly use it with my LSV, which gets a bit in my face (I usually hold it with the joint facing to my right, instead of straight ahead, which solves that problem.)
It might be a bit high with Ed's stem, but id think it shouldn't be a problem.

The stacking height is easily modified by changing water levels, so splash back is never really an issue, especially wih a slower flowing piece like a solo.

Alt & NVS are the only 2 official online sales outlets I know of, but I've seen a few floating around on BM recently.

I was just at NY gifts on 6ave in NYC and they had about 10 different versions of the DG fritters, even had some colored and glow fritters. Owner let me hit it with just water in the pipe... very impressed. Prices seemed reasonable ~$300-400. He also had a nice selection of the big names. Still waitin for him to get some möbius tho.....

BTW, Keegan,
I just checked my DG straight tube with my eds solo stem, and it looks like the solo will be a bit in your face with a 13/14" tube.
It doesn't particularly bother me, but it's something to keep in mind.

Thanks Frederick. :). Not a huge deal but I don't wanna have to buy an angled converter if I don't have to.

I was checking Roosterapparatus.com and I found an interesting post near the bottom of the FAQ from Rumpwax. He talks about how recently he tried dabbing using the glass screen that comes with the convertible and it works quite well and improves taste. Anybody else have any experience with this?
