maybe on a lesser scale the fact one is convection and one is conduction.
I've been thinking about getting a pax but I'm worried about what I'm hearing with the mouthpieces sticking or breaking. They really do look beautiful though

i'm put off by all of the early adopters making warranty claims, etc. I also am not thrilled with it's hard draw (cigar style inhales) and hot mouthpieces, and sticky temp button... Another huge factor for me personally is the cleaning, and seems like the Pax is a constant chore

Man it just makes me sad to see good people hanging off those very few flukes... then they go off and spend almost $200 on a piece of plastic covered in stickers...

In one way I love the Inh if it's convection performance is decent (and it seems like it is) but in another way it feels like they went too far down the form vs. function curve. They said "oh it doesn't matter what it looks like if it works!" and it looks like they don't care... I would understand if it was very cheap but that fact is, it's expensive, and it's covered in stickers.... If you spent that 25% more you could have bought a vape that works like a herbalair2.1, is as tough as a volcano, and looks like a silver surfer!

I really hope SLiM will review the INH on his blog. He is the man! :)
I hope so too, I do like this vape for the whole pre-loaded cartridges idea

Well my perception has been that the Pax isn't just a few flukes. I realized the fanaticism but I just haven't been sold (yet). I also disagree that the INH is a piece of plastic covered in stickers...it IMO is an incredibly innovative portable that has obviously won me over for a good reason. I trust the few members on here that purchased one and all seem quite happy with it, not too mention that it has far few "flukes" than the Pax.

Then again, alot more Pax's (Paxi? lol) are being sold so who knows. I may very well get a Pax shortly after delivery of my INH, but I just don't have the time for RMA (and the constant cleaning).

Furthermore, for me personally - airflow is king.

I concluded that the "stickers" were a deliberate marketing choice. If they truly wanted them to stay on that would have been trivial to accomplish. Making them easy to remove allows them to employ the medical device cover while letting their customers easily turn the device into a sexy looking tool. Ploom, meanwhile, simply denies who their customer base really is.

I agree pakalolo, and I personally plan on keeping the stickers on, unless they start to peel off. My wife likes the silver dildo like appearance :brow:

TMI! When I said sexy I didn't mean it like that, honestly.

You don't really need the screen at the bottom of the capsule which for me was a fail. There is a screen at the bottom of the chamber like other vapes that have this style. It is easy to knock the stuff out that falls it is just the ocd that will make you crazy about it. I was wanting to keep the bottom screen clean for travel but already blew it so no big deal.

I am glad you got the iso answer since I have been asking that for a week wondering if the polimide can be used with alcohol. If it doesn't effect the polimide then you can easily clean the chamber and get it prestine. Let us all know if the alcohol has any effect on the polimide.

LOL! I didn't mean it like that either! It was a joke lol

Thanks Dreamerr, maybe I won't use a screen to cap. I'm cool with stuff falling in and blowing it out, but i'm just concerned if ABV dust gets past that bottom screen...what then?

I'd call it about even, and yeah I thought so ;) and tbh there are times I pack the Pax too hard and I wish it was more free flowing... I think it's probably what you'd feel if you over-packed the inh capsule.

Good point. But I think Inh is based in Canada or another less backwards country, Ploom has to deny mmj because of the Federal gov. in America. Why mmj is still punishable when more than 50% of America enjoys it is just beyond me though :mental:

They are based in Quebec. They do market it as a medical marijuana device, although they like to call it "medicinal phytosubstrate" rather than pot. I guess what I meant is that they are subtly recognizing that the recreational market is much larger than the medical market.

Joe, I understand you like your Pax but what are you thinking? You haven't even gotten the opportunity to try one of these and your already giving the Pax the upper hand. And for the most part; I'd say your incorrect with your assumptions. The plastic; is delrin. The same material used by the guys at thermovape and it is does not have any problem with heat, and honestly, I'd say I'm not the only one who thinks that the design of the unit looks kind of cool. I like that lightsaber esque design. I hope you get a chance to try one soon so you can realize how much of a non issue these things are. Why does this have to be a battle between the two?

This is why i'm staying out of the Pax thread, there is alot of fanaticsm there. And I kind of like how it's smaller community here in this thread :) Plus even though i'm purchasing from Taylor over the border, I like how i'm ultimately supporting a Canadian company that will release a follow up to this in due time.

Thanks again CZ, and to all the other INH owners that have helped me with the purchase, I know I won't be disappointed. And Thanks to Taylor at theothersidevapes for such an awesome deal!

I agree with CentiZen, Joe you can't really stand on top of the mountain unless you've walked all the way up. You haven't tried it, it's about on par with telling me salmon is better than grouper but you've never tried grouper before. I love my pax, omg I love my pax, but damn the inhalater takes up my time too (not in public or out anymore mind you) I feel like I'm welding a light saber, I feel ya Cen. Stickers are stickers, leaves no residue whatsoever. I really have been putting off comparing the two vapes.

Can anyone compare the draw on this to other popular portables?
From easiest to hardest of the portable vapes i've tried. Never tried any butane vapes.

da vinci, inhalater, solo, thermovape t1, pax, thermovape evolution

Pretty sure someone said the INH had an easier draw than davinci, but everyone's different and there are a lot of variables.

The Pax has a harder draw than solo??

When you have time, please do compare the pax/solo/INH :)

Thanks again, sounds like they should last a while. Just need to buy some screens and cut to the right size so the herbs don't fall into the INH heater bowl. Too bad they don't have custom sized screens available. Is the opening the same size as a Solo stem, or i'm assuming slightly smaller? PV has some great solo screens that have a course mesh that should do the trick, even if I have to trim them a little.

Its very close the size of a Solo Stem. I bought 300 screens for my solo for like $3 off ebay but they need to be domed and would be too large for inside a INH004 it appears without futher trimming....

Conduction versus Convection: This vape has a lot of convection going on for sure. It certainly reminds of the TV T1 in that the hit can be quite hot because of the strong convection. But the heating elements around the capsule provide lots of conduction as well.

Its really a true hybrid. What matters is that it produces nice vapor and it really evenly cooks a bowl. It cooks them as completely as a Solo but without the bottom layer singed like on a Solo. If anything the top part of the load closest to you lips gets cooked even more than the rest. The INH impresses me for its even but very dark ABV.

and Joe, I haven't written a full review yet and finally just pulled out my solo after 5 days with the INH and the INH is a winner. Its still new but its easy to get good thick vapor from. It heats up in less than a minute, and battery life seems good. I won't declare it equal or better than the Solo until more time passes but it does impress me 5 days in.

I wish we could get our hands on the same screens as in the capsule. Might be a good business idea for Taylor!

when I got my INH the stickers were almost falling off on their own. So I almost think pakalo is correct and they are almost made to not have the stickers.

EDIT: Oh and one thing I also haven't seen mention that I believe does. Is the INH would be a hell of a lot more steathly if you didn't have to use the hose with it. But, unfortunately for my throat I have to use it or the vapor is to hot. Plus the mouthpiece does get quite toasty without the pic on. Oh and I don't know if anyone has figured this out yet. But, I like a little more area for the vapor to flow to cool down so I just stick the provide hose into one of my da buddha hoses that I cut down.

That makes sense VapeNStone, I do like the look of it better without the stickers, and i'm please that they come off easily without leaving any residue. I think i'm going to pick up one of these to suit my portability needs. I'll report back when i've used it enough to be able to give a good review. Love the idea of pre-loading capsules, especially since they are small and more convenient than the Solo stems for preloads.

I'm really surprised there isn't more interest in this, especially compared to the Pax. It also seems that the Solo thread has died down somewhat. I wonder what the miVape release will do to the portable industry, but I suppose each individual portable vape has its strong and weak points.

2 of the stickers on mine (thin ones) were already peeling when it came out of the box. And the main sticker was crooked so I immediately removed them.

VapeNStone - curious, How did you end up resolving your issue?

On the tube, it certainly helps but this is a hybid vape with a lot of convection and it does produce hot air. Its nowhere near as harsh as my Thermovapes but it certainly not a smooth as a solo on the higher temps.
