I just finished Max Payne 3. VERY COOL GAME. The story, the graphics, the music. All designed to be awesome. And it is!

Randomly started collecting old consoles and games and having a fun time trying to find the best bargains. I've gotten some major steals and deals on used video games for:

SNES, N64, Sega Dreamcast, Nintendo Gamecube, and PS1

I think the story telling, adventure, and overall challenge to games was so much more satisfying in the 90s. It was more of a big deal when a new console came out or when you saved up everything just to buy that one game you always wanted. Today everything is marketed to the multiplayer masses and there's a lot more sequels than before. I enjoy the current gen games and consoles but there's just a certain magic and excitement that is missing from today's video games.

Counterstrke: Global Offensive for Xbox 360. Anyone playing this? I'm considering buying it I'm on the fence.

bigtvapes,
IS Sleeping Dogs a GTA style open world game or is it more linear?

It's pretty open. Maybe not as much as as GTA, but I'd hardly call it linear. Whenever you aren't in a mission you can just drive around and goof off. The driving is actually quite good. Reminiscent of NFS, very arcade-y. For the first time in an open world game, I don't mind the racing missions! There's a good variety of stuff to do outside the main missions, but the story is decent enough too.

It feels almost like an RPG-lite with the upgrade system and collectables/hidden objects that actually mete out rewards. Again, for the first time, I don't mind tracking this shit down. In fact, it benefits you to do so.

I don't know what engine the game runs on. Reminds me of RAGE, though the physics have been heavily tweaked to be more arcade-y.

The combat is pretty good too. Evocative of Arkham Asylum/City combat. And it's ridiculously fun just running up and down the sidewalk and flying jump kicking passersby.

Oh and the game keeps a running tally of your "records" (longest clean drive, most time eluding police, flying jump kick count). It's genuinely fun trying to beat your last longest clean drive record, and the arcade driving physics make it a lot easier than it was to do in GTA IV.

anybody been grinding out diablo 3?

I was putting my barb thru inferno solo, but I've been stuck in A2 for a while. Just not geared enough. However I might pick it back up again, the new patch looks promising to balance things out.

I was stuck in Inferno Act 4 before patch. Shelved my only character until last night when I decided to check out what changed.

I should be done with Act 4 and beat Inferno Diablo by the end of the weekend.

I'll start another character when I do. I like the changes do far.

The NHL series has always caught my fancy. I'm terrible @shooters/rpg's/anything but NHL. Bought the Xbox in 08' for NHL.
Never really been a "true" gamer, but sadly had multiple thousand hrs in NHL 09/10. Ive been itching to get back into it lately, might have to tonight. :peace:
Ohh yeah, I enjoy some GOW only cause the controls are dumbed down for me...

witch doctor is the most fun for me just cuz of all the wacky shit they have like raining toads which is currently my main. i too kinda got sick of it, i guess because d2 just had that swag about it that d3 kinda doesnt. d2 surpassed itself whereas d3 hasnt lived up to its name, but still a sick game.

Grabbed up that xbla title Hybrid, a third person multiplayer only cover shooter though different from Gears. Actually kinda on an impulse I downloaded the trial which gives 60 full minutes of cumulative gameplay. Quite hard to explain why its unique but I urge any 360 owner to give it a shot.
My Xbox gamertag is same as on here.. Kommyknocker.
Feel free to add me if you wish.. just remember and send a message along with the request telling me you're from here.
Cheers

Just beat D3 with my monk and I started a new wizard.

If anyone wants to play you can find me on battle.net under the same name.

I was just playing Expendables 2. It's a fun game. I love that I can play co-op on the couch with a friend, something that is more rare these days than it should be.

It's still overpriced though and fairly flawed. It's "cheap" from a technical standpoint meaning that the sound and graphics quality aren't the best. But it is a fun shooter and it'll kill a few hours for me.

Wizard is the only class i havent tried, probably cuz it seems like the mpst godly. My friend has one and i feel like the skill where his body turns into a bunch of stars and he starts shooting lazers is more or less god mode.

Yeah, well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.
Been playing a fair amount of DayZ. Crazy fun, and way different than most games I've played...
