Dang, outta customs and they still don't ship it. I have never had this problem before in my life with Canada's customs, must have been the sellers fault, they must look bad or something. Maybe obvious packaging or they actually wrote Vapeworld on it or something stupid. Making it go through an x-ray and drug particulate testing and whatnot. Won't be buying from Vapeworld ever again...
Wow that sucks maan. I'm actually from Winnipeg, Manitoba and Ive ordered tons of shiet from 7th Floor for both my SSV and DBV and i means tons lol. It usually only takes about 1 and a half weeks for me to get my stuff from them. I get mine shipped out to a friend who owns a local headshop. So what are you expecting anyway?! SSV with some custom pieces haha?
Ordered a Green SSV. Added vapeworld to facebook and got a free grinder, plus the one that came with it.
Still not here yet though, oh well...
I have shipped and bought of eBay countless times and have never had this much annoyance with shipping, I have even ordered many a hookah from Israel with faster shipping then this "Priority Mail", and with "hookah" written on the box, customs never did this to me before, so I assume there must be some reason.

Hate to start a page with bitching, so let me say I can't wait to try this thing. I've been taking a tolerance break waiting for it, adding to the annoyance. But from what I heard this unit works great. And I love that you need technique, I have friends that say vaporizing doesn't work because they didn't even have enough technique for the E, even after my instructions, they sure won't be touching this baby.

Nice Max sold me back there when i re read his post, which mentioned rich hit's, that's what i'm looking for in my next vape so it's the SSV soon as, I'd like to know if the surfer need's mod's for enjoyment of full melt, particularly vaping straight full melt i'm lookin for the hottest ride :science: can provide :)
Hi bruv being a long time ex heavy puffer that is what i was looking for from a vape, the SSV is an excellent vape, I own one and use for when I am in bed as I found it is the strongest 'box' vape I have used, however if you used to combust depending partly maybe if you used to smoke bongs or spliffs but I would suggest that you maybe try a wand vape (de Verdamper, Vriptech, herborzier) - thats the actual order i would recommend them to may be the vriptech as it has a higher vapour to air ratio might suit you but the de Verdamp is a very versatile vape as well (although it comes with a bowl and a beautiful glass on glass body I use now regularly to do 'white outs' or 'milk hits' or 'blizzard bluets' or 'blue baileys' whatever you want to call em with the verdamper wand and a Hurricane bong bowl works perfectly with tiny loads 0.1g).
If you are moving from combustable depending on how much you consume and how regularly you may find like i did (I used to smoke about 10 x 1g blunts a day) that you need a few vapes to cover all the different types of puffing situation you regularly partake in eg do you need a vape for while your out, in bed, in the car at work? - a small load one for grazing during the day a big brain smasher, one you can take on holidays, one for parties/sochilicaly - possibly a bag - you can try to get a interior vape to try and cover all those situations like the extreme, however imo it is a good all around vape, a little to much to go wrong but if you do think you will need your vape in different situations you may want to check it, the ssv is an excellent box vape, but if you want to get smashed and quick then try wand vape. (I prefer the heavy thick vapour hit of the wand But i got my ssv first and it is a useful vape for me I can safely vape in bed so I would never sell it even though I have thicker vape producer basically whatever type you get if it produces visible vape look for a almost smokey airforce blue tinge to the vapour in the higher less dense areas as it gets denser if you have really dense vapour a good quality vapes vape should have that colour in my experience and thicker vape satiates taking on a almost blue/orange colour (mainly white obv. very faint hint), which ime normal means you have managed to heat it sufficiently without combustion occurring to rip out pretty much all the goodies as well as carborlizing the grass' latent delta THC (which the body can not metabolise and turning it into THC which you body can process, but again as your are now being more selective a scientific with consumption, at certain time for certain effect from terpenes and flavorines from the bud (mycen eg the lemon flavour or citrus flavour found in allot of bud is an analgesic anti inflammatory anti depressive and substance such as cbd prevent thc from giving you negative effects that the media are so quick to jump on such as paranoia cbd is bud natural anti paranoia drug but it also works with THC to make the euphoric effects of THC greatly magnified whether you want a vapour that is accurate to dial up different temp and that is +/-2'f the temp it will be vaped at in the Hebalaire h2.1 (Also does the job of a Volcano at 3rd the price)- another vape i find usefull in my arsenal, work out how, what you want it to replace were you and how you will be using it

So I got it, they gave me the fatty bowl instead of a grinder like I asked, but they gave me a glass on glass so I can't use it. I like the hands-free of it. How do I get the kinks out of the hose? Any recommendations on inhalation technique?

I had ordered a Silver/Black SSV from vapeworld. This morning i was drooling over my picture and wow, Lucky I looked. After looking longer at the pictures i noticed the pictures of the SSV have a GG connection. Which Defeated the purpose of me getting it over the DBV. So I did a live Chat to see if i could change it. And They did, but also informed me they were on back order until the end of the week and offered me a black one with a regular heater cover at no extra charge.

From my research and Please correct me if i am wrong the smaller opening gives your hits a higher vapor to air ratio.

A surfer with GG should cost $20 more than standard. I've noticed the pics on the Vapeworld site show the hands free version, but I didn't think they'd be selling the GG version at the standard price. Also can't imagine them selling the GG version by default. I think most SSV buyers get the standard connection. :hmm:

From my research and Please correct me if i am wrong the smaller opening gives your hits a higher vapor to air ratio.
Yeah, but keep in mind you'll need to move the wand around a little on the HC, or stir between hits. Otherwise you'll get some uneven heating.

Yeah they include the GG. But, they don't specify it in there product description. So i was a little upset but they took care of it here is the Chat transcription. I don't mind have to rotate and chopped i planned on that when I picked it over the DBV because i wanted that whole experience. I got the hands free adapter for when I need it.

I let Chris know that they might want to make it a little more clear that their SSVs are HF, since that's unusual, especially at the standard price. I think most SSV dealers only carry the standard version, and you'd have to special order the HF.

Yeah i am glad i caught it. I would have been super pissed if i hadn't. But they took care of it, so as long as when thursday rolls around and i have the right heater cover, i will be happy. I just noticed its going to need a signature. Man I hope i get home before my wife!

I think I'm gonna get a SSV soon. This smoke shop moved next door to my girlfriends work and they said they'd give them 35 percent offso I could get one for like 160. I would have liked a black one but all they have is silver.

So I wanted to know does the Surfer reek alot when it comes to smell. I vape in my room in a house but I have anyone else in the house know what's going on so I don't want it to reek up the place. I've had a I inhale for a while now and use that in my room and nobody knows as far as I know but I know the SSV will give off much fatter milkier hits

Will VW sell me a standard non-HF SSV if I request it?

An SSV for $160? Better grab that deal before they come to their senses. That's not 35% off either. It's over 40% off on a standard $270 unit. That's nuts.

As for smell, I wouldn't say exhaled vapor from any vape 'reeks'. If you exhale huge clouds of vapor though, it'll be obvious to anyone entering the room within a few minutes that you're doing something, and if they know what weed smells like... You want to be sensible about how much vapor you exhale. Huge hits are fun, but somewhat wasteful too. And windows are always good for aiding stealth.

Sure they will. A business isn't going to turn down a sale on a product they carry. They may not have one in stock though, if they mostly sell the HF version.

Not if they want to stay in business. Getting an incredible deal because you're next door to a shop is crazy enough. Why would they give the same deal to you?

Careful with your quotes. That's me you're quoting, not smokeandskate. ;) If price is really important to you, maybe you should consider the DBV. I've used both models, and depending on your priorities, there may be little difference in the two. Some people prefer the DBV in every area of difference. The only reason I went with the SSV was that I didn't care for hands free, and wanted the little extra kick the SSV can provide with the standard heater cover. After a couple of years of use, I'm even thinking of getting a GG HC and wand, so I can use hands free and get the more predictable hits at times, just for a change up. A silver DBV from vapeworld, using the FC discount, actually runs less ($171.60) than an SSV with 35% off, which would be about $175.

I was browsing around on 7th Floor's site and came across these, and was curious to know if anyone has tried one of these or maybe heard anything about them? I'd rather have a bong but my current living situation doesnt allow that and these intrigued me, seem small enough to not attract attention but might be a pain in the ass to clean. Thoughts?

I.M.O Doesn't look to user friendly. You will need a hand to hold the wand and where the tube hooks up will come out. Also looks like it will tip over with the long stem on the back side.:2c:

My knee jerk reaction is that I would rather get a small bong and have flexible use than be tied to down to vaporizer usage. Looks very cool though and would love to see some reviews.

Just got my SSV 2 days ago... love it

BUT, its already broken. I have barely moved or touched it, but it no longer heats up and the power lamp just sputters when its turned on and then goes out for good. They also failed to include the extra tubing and pick (small but important stuff) I ordered. Hope their customer service is decent...

sounds like a loose wire inside. The wires have slip on connectors and may have just came off. I would take the the screws off the base and take a look. See what the seventh floor has say. Not much to go wrong beside the switch , but if it sputters sure sounds like a loose connection.

I did take a look, but the wires are secured by a zip-tie. I didn't want to clip it without talking to them first. I emailed right away, but understand if they are not going to answer til Monday. I would love to fix it myself but I am worried it might be the heat controller potentiometer. Thanks for the idea.

Do yourself a favor upriver, and call them on Monday. Don't rely on email. That seems to be their weak point. I've experienced it myself. I'd ask for Steve as well. Tell him about your dead, almost brand new SSV, and your missing items that you paid for. It would also be a good idea to get an extra wand, if you didn't get one already. That way you have a spare, and you clean 'em both at the same time. Makes it easier if you want to save your condensed vapor.

max,

I have to pay shipping TO them AND return shipping ($16), which is very annoying on a brand new item which is not working as I paid for. Hopefully I am the only one who has had this experience on such a highly-regarded product. It certainly leaves me not wanting to recommend it to anyone though.

IMO they shouldn't charge you for return shipping. They offer a 30 day money back guarantee. It would be cheaper to ask for your money back, and then just buy another from a dealer that offers an FC discount. :/

If you have volt meter test the potentiometer and heater. I understand its a new unit, but having to pay for shipping! Ask them to throw in some extra goodies to off set the shipping.

They agreed to meet me in the middle and cover the return shipping. Still very disappointing to be out $300 and vapeless for the time being. Hope they are fast in their repair/shipping whatever. I really WANT to like the thing!

First off, I would like to apologize for not continuing the conversation, but I have to help get the word out myself. The Silver Surfer rocks!
I am not an experienced vaper and have only used a few different models. At first I was going to go hands free because I have heard it provides an easier experience for vape noobs. However, after reading several posts from experienced vapers, I decided against it.
The standard glass connection gives so much more control and is not difficult to use at all. After a few days, I was pulling delicious, controlled hits from it. It's as simple as moving the wand around and exposing different areas in the herb to the air stream. With the hands free unit, I would be constantly taking it off and stirring the herbs around; just sounds like an extra step for me.
So, if there are any other noobs out there wanting an SSV, but are worried about the difficulty of using the standard connection, it is incredibly easy.
Also, I love how I am able to control the air stream on the SSV using my breath. You can actually control the air temperature by inhaling faster or slower.
My recommendation is to buy the SSV and just go with the standard glass connection. You will not be disappointed. Now, I have not tried the spherical connection, so I can't comment on that. But, I would love to see some reviews if anyone has tried it.
I would also like to thank everyone on here for pointing me in the right direction. The SSV is the best!
Lastly, thanks to TokenGLX for posting on every single forum I have seen. Your wealth of information is awesome. You, more than anyone, influenced me to go with the SSV and the standard glass connection.
