ABV infused espresso

JJ420

chillin on the couch, sippin off a 22 ounce.
Since I'd been using my SSV I've built up a decent amount of ABV in the jar. Decided to sandwich it in the middle of espresso grinds. I couldn't really taste it or notice the effects, if any were there to even be felt... I was pretty high at the time. :p

I'm going to try it again in the morning to see if I can feel any effects. My goal would be to introduce a little CBD into my caffeine!

Not sure how much you'll extract with this method. Cannabinoids are not water soluable. The coffee does contain oils, but I doubt you could extract cannabinoids in it. You'd be better off steeping the ABV in hot milk (homo or higher) for a while. Steam it, then add to your espresso.

nice cupping btw, except for the grounds all around the rim.

Thanks! It was just a test shot, so a little messy.
You know I also brew my own beer. I'm thinking about saving (a lot) of ABV and steeping it together with all the other stuff in the next brew. Cant hurt right?

I have had this idea for a while. Will try with hot milk or some oil with my handpresso :D once I have collected enough ABV.

Since the abv was already heated during vaporization, wouldn't it already be 'active'? So, no need to extract with alcohol?

If I were trying this I'd infuse the milk with the ABV and add to the espresso. The fat in milk would be better to get the goodies out of the ABV. Yes, already activated but still needs to get out of the plant matter and into your drink.

Moving to cooking section ;)
