Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud

Okay you can call me a whiner if you like, but my Cloud came today and I was seriously underwhelmed. I got the two pieces wrapped in pink foam in a large corrugated cardboard box with one piece of printed instructions. This is no way no market a five hundred dollar piece!
Yes it is. If I packed a 500$ glass that i love for delivery I would make sure to pack it bomb-proof, and that is what VX does. One instructions paper - does it need more? It is a simple to operate vape. Not like EQ that has 2 big bags of accesories which all of them are low quality.
I'm feeling much more love towards my EQ and ViCape right now and both for less money, the EQ for less than half as much.
EQ package it like the same as the Cloud, Cloud packaging seems more break-proof. With glass you must expect the packaging to be made bomb-proof, not beautiful. You mean to tell me you would like if it came in some artistic package but shattered inside? For VX marketing is clearly not their number one but the performance of the unit itself. They make a vape for vaporist enthusiasts, pretty much all the hype they made was here. They contact vape connossieurs rather than masses to offer the Cloud.
I didn't even try it yet as I'm do disgusted with the presentation.
Seriously?

I'm a huge fan of cheap generic packaging to pass on savings to the consumer. Also I absolutely love my ELBs that don't quite fit in all the way, because they are way easier to remove when hot, than my one ELB that does go in all the way. Thank you VXC! And to those saying a hydratube is all you need, maybe for you..but I find the cloud works better for my needs with a seperate piece (one that doesn't require me to crane my neck) ergonomically it just makes more sense to me this way and is a more pleasing experience.

Hey does anyone know if the Sovereignty - 60 mm Natty UP StemLine fits the cloud with no adapter?

I'm worried it won't have enough room to fit.

Thx

I got the two pieces wrapped in pink foam in a large corrugated cardboard box with one piece of printed instructions. This is no way no market a five hundred dollar piece! I also didn't get the extra ELBs for the High Times coupon. I didn't even try it yet as I'm do disgusted with the presentation. Consider the way the Pax comes packed for half the price. It says to me that the company really doesn't care about the product and that doesn't bode well for after sales service. They'll never be able to sell them in stores like this that is for sure. I'm not sure why this bugs me so much but it does. I'm feeling much more love towards my EQ and ViCape right now and both for less money, the EQ for less than half as much. If. It's not head and shoulders above those two when I start using it, it's going up for sale in a real hurry. Okay. I'm done now .

If pretty packaging is all it takes for you then I have several crappy products with great packaging if you'd like to give me your cloud for a trade.

Thx neve13, yea looks like it won't fit I might have to wait for 75mm natty. Oh well mayb I'll jus purchase the adapter. It looks like i could getme that goes staight up and it will fit instead of having to get a angled one.

Need an 45 degree angled adapter 18mmf-18mm male. Once ya got that you should be in cloud heaven™

Do you think a 90 degree going straight up would give it enough room? I wanted it to be able to rest on its own. If not I'll jus grab a 45 angle.

Thx

If you're really gonna get on here and talk shit about something as amazing as the Cloud before even trying it, you're better off sticking to your EQ and ViVape haha. Have fun with that...and I'm pretty sure you're literally the only person in either Cloud thread that has complained that much about the packaging. Most of us store our expensive Clouds in protective cases like Pelicans, not the original cardboard packaging the vape came in. And until you read either one of these threads, don't make bullshit claims about how much VXC cares about their product because you obviously have no idea. Go buy a Pax and drool over that packaging. :peace:

Modnote: And before you come into this thread with both barrels a blazing, then I suggest you re-read the rules. Namely the 'Be Nice' portion of them.

Mr. Nuffhugger I don't believe I take my time here to be shit on by the likes of you. If there are people who want to listen, then they can. I suggest you just skip over anything with my name on it, as you seem to have a very short fuse. You're not going to cow me into leaving, so learn to live with it. And BTW, I already have a Pax, but thanks so much for the suggestion.

Guys ... Enough bickering already! :)

OV ... Give your Cloud a couple days and then post your opinion! In my opinion it's worth what they're charging and then some!

Marvc, have you measured for clearance? It looks to me like the stem is too close to the body and just a little too short to use without an adapter.

Noo, I'm going to find out the hard way. Oh well it's a sweet piece so it'll be worth it. It's still not set in stone awaiting confirmation. It was a really good price so had to jump on it.

If that stem was only a smidgen taller, I think it would work fine. Worst case scenario you can probably use a straight 18m/18f adapter and still stand the cloud on in for a handsfree hit.

You had all the resources you needed on FC to know how the Cloud came packaged. There have been plenty of un-boxing vids and pics posted here so it shouldn't have came as a surprise.

I wasn't trying to shit on you man and I definitely don't have a short fuse or want you to leave the thread, I just couldn't believe what I read and you said you didn't even try the thing because of the packaging? You're entitled to your opinion and that's fine, but don't slam a badass vape like the Cloud because of the brown box and pink wrapping and then say the company doesn't stand behind its product because of that (not very rational). It's pretty fair to say everyone is buying the Cloud for it's function and not what it comes packaged in.

I'll be nice and I'll be civil. But I will offer a considered opinion: VHL is a start up. They have allocated their budget to R&D, not marketing and and packaging. They value function over form - though not to the complete exclusion of the latter. There are other manufacturers who reverse this equation. That's their choice. And not one to which I subscribe.

I think what you're seeing is loyalty to VXL (mine included, full disclosure) manifesting itself in the emotional defense of SM and his lads. Why? Because their product and, just as importantly, their service rocks.

So let's everyone take a deep breath. Let OV try his Cloud. If he doesn't like it, that is his prerogative. IF, however, he does (as the rest of us seem to), then we can revisit the topic.

I was nice and did not issue infraction points when this bickering started. No more Mr. Nice Guy. Please get back on topic. If someone posts something that you think is out of line, the Report button is at the bottom of the post. Otherwise, ignore it. The topic is the Cloud, not whether someone has formed a hasty opinion. The only people allowed to comment on that are the ones with the star next to their usernames. Anyone else will get an infraction.
