Nope, I don't have any way to dissemble the core. I am just planing to hit the exposed surface of the ceramic with a pin point torch flame for a couple of seconds when I can't get it clean any other way. I understand that if the PTFE/Teflon gets to hot, it's game over.

May I suggest you have it screwed into something to help dissipate some of the heat while attempting this method. I know the pin type touch you speak of (I think). Interesting and sounds more like something I'd try. But not today. Not sure if trying to get it that white look back again is worth the chance. That insulator (PTFE) is pretty thin stuff.

Good luck and let us know how it pans out.

Your call, of course, but I don't see any real advantage to making it white. Aside from cosmetics of course, and not only can't you really see it normally, but it's not going to last very long at all. In terms of performance I suggest there's no advantage at all.

Another thing to consider is when you do it in place it's very likely to boil stuff up from below in the process?

Good luck.

Yuup, I run LV DART heating core with either a Pure-flow on top, or straight Drip tip(a little warm, but super stealth om my Ultra!) The dart loading tool is not necessary for operation, but is nice to have for certain occasions, I find myself loading with it occasionaly.
Thanks for all the help! Think I'm goin with a 3.7v body, a dart heater core, and a pure flow. Should be exactly what I'm looking for. Probably Order it up at the end of the week! My roommate is getting a 6v evolution as well so the 10%code will be worth it!

I suggest True Flow, the extra restriction is not going to be welcomed by most.

The UFO looks like a dart top w a broken tip. Would I just use this w the dart tip or it will replace the whole top piece?

Love the results with hash! But i have a hard time opening/closing the window. Each time i close it i also unscrew the Revotution from it's adapter...

Hi Everyone!

I just ordered TV Rev on amazon, and should be getting a hold of this baby hopefully by tuesday! I'm giddy as a school girl!

I currently use Da Buddha as my daily driver and bought this thing pretty much for the purpose of burning wand hash in it, as well as kief collected from my grinders.

Now from what I am hearing it is not so great with kief(?) So I am thinking i might make a paste out of kief and my wand hash...

Personally I am not concerned with stealth or with conservation, so I am really just looking for huge clouds of vapour!

Can't wait to join the Revolution!

Two suggestions to try: Close it the other way and try pulling it out the top (straight up) instead. I usually do the latter. I think it's easier and faster that way. The window is still there for you and since you're not wiping the inner sleeve around far less concentrate leaks out in the process.

Kief is not easy to vape directly but Revolution is, IMO, the best tool available for the job (and I've tried a good number of the usual suspects). Wand hash might help, but you can do it 'barefoot' as well. The key is keeping it stirred between hits. Fresh material has to contact the floor plate for each hit. I use a wooden toothpick through the window usually.

I think you're in for a treat, you're going to love it. It's likely to get you thinking 'how hard is it to make QISO really?'.

I'll second OF's comment about pulling it straight up, and if it's tight or won't move, heat the Rev up for about 10 secs. then try to remove it, warming it will release the oil that bonds it together. I found when I twisted the window cap, it would smear oil around the inside too, so I switched to pulling it out rather than turning it.

I'm starting to question the wisdom of my purchase order...

The more I am reading about the modular pieces, the more i think i might want to buy the evolution next.

However, herein lies my dilemma:

LV or SV?

Which is better and why?
I have read some people say that they are getting 50+ hits from the LV models... for both the Rev and Evo, what kind of numbers (of hits) and vapour quality should I be expecting from the SV and should i have bought the LV?

IMO LV is the call in most cases. SV seems to heat a bit faster (maybe 10%), but LV delivers more hits (again by about 10% for different reasons). SV also gets the nod if there's a T1 in your future, maybe.

Otherwise, LV has more options to power it and more stuff you can also run. Like my favorite, Omicron carts using the thread adapter....if you can get the concentrates to feed 'em. Likewise, DART is a 'must have' before your list gets too long.

So expect a modest (about 10%) 'penalty' worst case? And some minor issues with batteries and charging. Either will make you happy, it's just that I think LV should be the call unless you have/want SV for T1 reasons.

On average how many hits can one expect from the LV compared to the SV (per battery not load?)

I just twice passed up opportunities to put numbers on it, I'll pass a third I think. Entirely too subjective, like 'how many hits to a MFLB trench'. It could easily be twice (or half) the number for the next guy. And often is. There is not 'standard hit' any more than standard oil. Nor uniform technique.

10% difference. Plenty in either case relative to Evolution (where it's a small problem if at all usually) and way past that relative to T1 (where a bowl per set takes some skill). If you get say 50 hits with LV, you'll get 45 with SV. If you got 20 before, SV will give you 18.

Well it's official!!!! Just ordered a LV rev kit with the dart. 3 extra batteries and a pure-flow. My roommate picked up a 6v evolution with an extra set of batts as well!!! Used the code and got 100 bucks in savings! Hope to receive this little guy next week!!
