I was seriously thinking of selling my evolver hydracirc, but now that someone actually wants to buy one I'm not so sure haha. I also like its convienience compared to a bong or a bubbler.

How far a distance did it fall buyola and what type of surface did it hit? Sorry to make you re live such a horrific moment. Lol

Warm water and a towel. I dry the bottom before placing it on the Cloud. The HT is all frosted except for the joint where it meets the cloud. No fear of thermal shock or water dripping in, and a cool taste Cloud.
Love it!

Its all good i am already over it. I am now looking forward to a new HT. Tea Party the one you have is Awesome!
The fall was not far at all. It was standing up right on the kitchen counter, i bumped it with my elbow and it fell over from vertical to horizontal. But when i heard that perfect "PING" i knew it broke. If it was in that beer huggie it would not have fallen over. Or if I had the proper stand from Tstat. I have the pelican 1400. But we all need a stand or Huggie.
Live and learn!

I'm sorry to hear about the broken hydratube. Just a bit of a leak of info I guess, and I wanted to let you know before Glass Acquisition Syndrome kicked in, that we will be releasing some special HT's in the next 5-6 business days. Stay tuned here or our website ;)

Why were you considering selling it??

I too am sorry to hear of another broken HydraTube. They certainly are easy to knock over, etc. And as much as I never use mine, I am looking forward to see what new tubes they come up with next week!

Are they going to be sold individually or packaged with the Cloud?

-----------------

Right now I keep my HydraTree in the box it came in, on top of the peanuts and foam that it was wrapped in. Working good so far.

I just gotta grab the cash and get one of those stands ;-).

Was it cold when it fell? I wonder if the temp had something to do with the break...

I'll bet it was a ceramic countertop. Ceramic is deadly to borosilicate. As glasstafarian says, that glass is tough but drop it onto ceramic tile and you can forget it.

Don't worry these pieces are not going to be in circulation.
This is just a test  This would be the most common horizontal fall
from your desktop or coffee table, although it bounces nicely.
I do try to make their bottoms as stable and flat as possible.

hahahahahahahahhahahahaha! Glasstafarian you just blew my mind man!!! SOLD!!!!!!!! I will support all of your glass.

"ya i think so" lol

edit: is the tree much more difficult to clean? And what are the pros/cons of both. If this was discussed previously my apologies, I can't find it.

Holy shit, Glasstafarian. I'm still gonna baby the shit out of my HydraTree, but I am super impressed that it stood up to those drops. Amazing.

Sweet! Even though I have no money I am definitely very interested to see what's coming :-)

Jurassic, my HydraTree has been getting super clean with an ISO soak overnight. I clean it every 5 - 7 days. I had a little gudge at the top of the tree, stuck a pipe cleaner in there with ISO, rinsed, and the thing was brand new.

Please do, I by no mans enjoy droping my babies on the ground and it's not a showoff thing,
I personally wanted to see how they do. It takes us a lot of effort to make em nice and clean
so when people show that kind of respect for the money they spent on their glass makes me
feel like its worth our extra efforts knowing people take care of them and not treat them like
some thing they can replace at wallyworld ;)

Of course :-). As a creator, I would definitely try this myself (I do iPhone programming as a hobby, and the goal is to try to find all the bugs).

I would love to blow glass and learn the art, however, living in an apartment definitely doesn't give me the ability to have a Kiln LOL.

Too bad I can't take up an apprenticeship with you, LOL :-).

Glasstafarian, I am pretty sure you have a Cloud (I would at least hope). And, I'm sure you have your own sick ass custom HydraTube. Maybe we can see a pic of it and dream? (I know you can't sell custom HydraTubes without VXL but I'm just curious as to what you use).

Yep, this has been discussed a nbr of times. Try a boolean search like "cloud AND hydratube AND tree AND circ". Short answer: Basically same weight and dimensions. While opinion varies about drag, there seems to be agreement that the difference is negligible. The most noticeable diff is proly in the action, as Seek notes here:

So I've been on a T-break for 9 days now, and the Cloud has made it much easier than any break I've taken before! For those who don't know, insomnia is a common symptom to have if you consistently partake close to bedtime and then stop. When I took breaks before getting the Cloud, I would take Melatonin and it would help somewhat, but it would still take me almost an hour to fall asleep each night. But for the past week I've been vaping 3 bowls of Chamomile in my Cloud before bedtime in addition to taking Melatonin, and I've been able to fall asleep in less than 30 minutes each time.

And then two days ago I stopped taking the Melatonin and started just vaping the Chamomile and I was still able to fall asleep quick, which means the worst part of the insomnia has past. The Cloud has also helped immensely since I realized that I was also mentally fixated on ripping bongs ever since I discovered them back at the beginning of summer, but now that I have a need to stop partaking I can still have the physical action of milking and ripping without actually using the herb. :)

Wow skyline, we are very alike. I too have tremendous issues with vapour dependent withdrawl insomnia, big time...like i'll be awake for 5 days straight without vaping. Perhaps your sleep is better simply because of "time". I've tried practically everything and nothing would help but time. I'm 2 weeks into my break now and am curious what temp you use for chamomile? How full do you fill the elb? Are you ripping open tea bags? Or just loose leaf? Does it make a mess of your elb ? (i thought i read something earlier where the chamomile ran down the glass tube).

Melatonin never did anything for me, but i'd like to try vaping chamomile. How thick are the clouds? lol I could see this helping my mental habit as well. Luckily I can sleep a solid 5 hours now, my trick is to stay up late, like 12-1am ish, otherwise no chance of passing out. I can't wait to get my cloud, I plan to have some VERY low tolerance, and be a little bit smarter about my habit. I'm starting to really think that vaping is the cause, not cure for my insomnia anyway.

Hahaha Jurassic you probably read about my little mishap with the Valerian root. Yeah I've found Chamomile to be much better since it actually tastes good and doesn't mess up my Cloud! I don't think its time though, I was able to fall asleep in 30 minutes the day after quitting, something that's never happened before! It's unfortunate that Melatonin doesn't work for you though ... have you tried the time release type of tablet? It's the most effective type you can take since it continually releases for 8 hours.

As for the Chamomile, I started off just ripping open tea bags, and it actually worked. But then I ordered some organic chamomile flowers here, and since they came I can fulfill all the old rituals of vaping! I grind them up in my Space Case grinder and fill the ELB with them. For me, they work best around 10:30 (Chamomile is said to vape at 375 degrees F). I tend to fill the ELB up half way, since it seems that the Chamomile gets vaped much more quickly than Cannabis and will vape very unevenly if you don't stir between hits when you fill it up all the way. The vapor is alright, its definitely not as thick as with herb, but its visible and if you dont hold your hits too long you'll see clouds on the exhale.

It doesn't make a mess of the ELB at all, it actually smells quite nice haha. It does make the male joint on the Cloud yellowish after each use though, but I just clean it with a tissue soaked in Iso and it looks good as new!

One thing to note though before doing this - clean you grinder completely and soak your ELBs too, so you don't mess up your break with any cannabinoids that may be lingering on your stuff.

Edit: Also make sure that you wait til after your Cloud has cooled down before sticking anything soaked in iso into the joint! If you don't wait, thermal shock will probably happen and that's baddd.

Second cloud is heating up for a burn-in!
What was it someone mentioned about blowing air in the gap on the inside of the cloud to reduce the burn-in time?

Would that be with compressed air or just a couple quick breath blows?
