Discontinued ThermoVape

From what I've read about LV Evo's and such, the LV seems to give a few more hits per charge, but in exchange warm up times are slightly longer. There's not a LV T1, though, so I'm still on the 6v system myself :)

I take it the Thermovape LV models may offer long useage on a charge vs the sv model?

The consensus seems to be that that may not necessarily be true, given that the LV models need more ramp-up time to achieve the proper heat, since there's less "oomph" (aka Wattage) behind them than the SV models. This varies a lot based on technique, as well, I'd wager.

Why would a reason be to get the LV variants over the SV variants?
for smaller devices/ more range of 3.7 mods. If you plan to use with thermovapes base then I would get SV, because of the modulation with t1 and revolutions. Even though one type of 3.7's can fit the TV tube. I'm a LV kind of guy myself but sv is always fun.

The postman should be here in the next hour with my new TV kit!
Thanks KC, for the excellent transaction on the HUGE TV kit I bought! Whoa!, I have been in a haze since the mail arrived trying to check everything out. I've got the extract devices down, due to previous experience, but the T1 is taking a few tries to master(almost got it!) Evolution seemed to char the bottom of the load, but I am just starting to play with EVO! can't wait to throw some bubble in it! Do people mix bubble with flower for EVO or can I load straight bubble?! I know REV is for this(bubble by itself), but have heard EVO works good for bubble too!

EDIT: WOW, got the T1 down! Volcano in my pocket! LOL!

I have the T1, Its set up for both with the revaluation and the dart. And you deff get longer usage with LV but 6V is a nice option, Go with the T1 and you can change any time you want. The lv option i carry on the road, and out chilling during the day. At nigh i like clouds, and these fuckers dont burn out you get that thing burning hooked up to your glass, tubes, macros, if thats your thing also then T1 would be a good choice. But you can get it as hot with the 3.7, come on though almost doubling the wattage, its nice.

I wanted to ask about the AVA Atomizers by TV, anyone using them for nicotine related juice, if so , what kind, and which resistance do you prefer?(LV,SV,HV)

I use an HR AVA, on a 6V T1/Thermovape setup. I rather like it, although I would highly suggest either a Pure-Flow filter or a UFO mouthpiece to go with it. I tend to find if I (or inexperienced friends of mine) pull too hard you might get some e-juice pulled through - yuck! The ufo helps a little with this, though not as much as I had hoped, and the Pure-Flow helps a great deal. Makes it a bit like a hookah. I tried to combine the two, and the UFO doesn't fit in the Pure-Flow, as it has a longer protuberance at the bottom than a regular mouthpiece. Was hoping for the ultimate combo but....

That said I have not used an SV or LV model. I know some people like the SV on a 6V T1 setup, for a bit stronger hits, but with the the Pure Flow on top I personally have no complaints at all about hit size. If I were starting again from square one, I'd probably look into a AVA RES tank system from TV, to save the hassle of having to have the little bottle of nicotine juice with me, and having to refill every so often. It's not a huge inconvenience, and I suppose some people might even prefer more of a LAYG (load-as-you-go) approach, if they are using different strengths or flavors of e-juice.

Also, I'd highly recommend VG-based (Vegetable Glycerin) e-juices over PG (Polyglycerin, I think?) I don't notice a huge taste difference but health-wise I think a lot of people will steer you towards VG over PG. Hope this is a help to you!

Where can I find VG based ejuice?(with nicotine)

Check out this site:

http://www.tasteyourjuice.com/topsecret/wordpress/recommendations/

In addition to reviewing devices (incidentally, he does a review of the TV AVA setup), the dude reviews various juices and gives links to the websites that they're from.

You can also check out Johnson Creek. Their Red Oak line is VG (according to them, no PG at all).

I'm pretty new to e-liquids, so these are the only references I know of but I'm sure other members have some great recommendations!

Where can I find VG based ejuice?(with nicotine)
Not sure which route you want to go here.
I like the DIY juices methods myself. Surprise, surprise.

The cheapest unflavoured nicotine I could find is here and can pick VG or PG or a mix. Can also specify nicotine level.

As for the juice only, you can get the unflavoured PG cheap here.

I found out I'm allergic to PG and now only use VG which I get from the local drug store Glycerine 100% food grade. Get there mainly for convenience. Some will say that it is not "vegetable" glycerine. But up to you. That only means where the molecule originated from as glycerine is part of many substances. (including old rubber tires) I like it as it is nice and thick.

The flavour concentrates are all over the place. Some crazy flavours for sure.
What I like is you can control the nic and flavouring levels.
You can calculate the amounts here.

I use to use the SV AVA with RES all the time and think it's a nice unit. Not sure why TV doesn't sell with the Delrin sleeve as the T1 delrin fits perfectly . Maybe the shell has been changed??
Now using my Bulli as it is a juice cooker and produces gigantic clouds. Juice consumption quadrupled and so I went from a 20 mg nic mix to a 5-10 mg mix.

Hope this helps,
Pipes

Ahh yes the T1 middle delrin will fit on top of the RES however, when its pressed on you now cant separately tighten the RES body onto the interface. This is the sole reason we dont include the delrin on the AVA-RES, Now if you think you would still want the delrin on your RES you can request it in your order notes or order one by itself from sales@thermovape.com

Cheers,

Tim

Thanks everyone, for your help with the e-juice questions! I'll now be using the new AVA thread for this, but while I'm here I'd like to know if anyone has a LR AVA or RES system laying around for some SR TV goodies! I'm loving all my new TV gear, but may want to do some swapping, as I am leaning toward LV accessories! MORE TO COME as I decide for sure!

There was talk earlier about a device in a TV video.... I believe it looks like a new batt sleeve, that takes 18650's!

Let us know Tim, The AVA video shows you guys stuffin' some AW IMR 18650's into T1 bases! Yes! I love my LV.

EDIT: OOPS! Guess I can't reply in the AVA thread yet!

High FC,

Loving my thermovape collection and since its grown large, im havng fun trying various combos of pieces together.

Been expierimenting with the evo without its shield, with the pure flow attached...works pretty nice..

So ilike to drop in from time to time and add some color to the forum with some pics.

I got the whole family together for the family shot.

Pictured (from left): Evolution, non stick vapor tool, Ti with smooth flow, spare dart, Dart, Revolution, pure flow filter, extended mouthpiece, Tru flow UFO mouthpiece, standard mouthpiece.

A case to hold the whole collection would be ideal now.

Vape on.

I don't remember which TV thread it was in, but someone was using a Maxpedition pouch to hold their gear. It's certainly not a Pelican, but I really love how much I can get into this thing:

I've got my T1, 4 extra batteries, the charger, a Rev top, an Evo top, a DART, an extra Rev, and several different mouth pieces in there and there is still room for more :)

I just received my Ava w/ RES, but it didn't come w/ any instructions. This is my first tv product and first time using a tank.

I've just been dripping directly into the atomizer. Is this the correct way to fill the RES or do I need to unscrew and remove the Ava first? How will I know when the tank is full?

A bunch of us have found the Maxpedition cases perfectly suited for carrying our TV stuff. The perfect kit case because it's so flexible in what it can carry. It all started with a message from QuantumTimeSpace here. He went for the smaller case, which I didn't find suitable for what I wanted to carry, and instead, like you, went for the Maxpedition "fatty" case. Rather than just repeat what I said in my long reply to QuantumTimeSpace, here is a link to that message.

Much has changed in the amount of TV equipment I have and what I carry since I posted that first picture, so here's a picture of my current setup:

Kit.png

I don't carry my AC stuff in the kit, but rather opted to carry lots of batteries. Here's a breakdown of the stuff you can see, and the stuff behind the flap on the left that you can't see.

On the left, visible, a dropper container with water to load the Sure-Flow, which I use with the T1 head. TV Stirrer/Poker, DART, Cleaning brush from a Volcano, two mouthpieces with UFOs, and a bottle of ISO. On the left, behind the main flap, is a bag of Q-Tips, a bag of toothpicks, and a T1 "head".

On the right is a T1 base with insulated adapter and Evo head (using a modified delrin heat sleeve), the 16 RCR123A batteries in PowerPax battery holders, and a great container that is airtight, waterproof, and floats. The container has two separate halves, so it can hold your botanicals and their ABV, or two different types of botanicals. I think the container is really the perfect choice:

DEWC.png

Here are some links to the manufacturers web sites; note that I didn't buy the case from the mfg, but rather from Amazon, but I wanted to provide mfg links so everyone could see the different models available.

The Maxpedition cases.
The PowerPax battery holders.
The DEWC (Double Ended Waterproof Container) containers.

By the way, now is an excellent time to buy batteries and PowerPax battery holders directly from ThermoVape. They are offering a 25% discount on everything they sell for the month of August, (coupon code "SUMMERTIME") and with existing discount on the batteries, they come to less than $3 each, which is cheaper than I've seen them anywhere else, even in quantity, and the PowerPax holders are also cheaper with the discount than anywhere else I've seen them.

(Third time I had to redo this whole reply; either the forum software is misbehaving tonight or I'm overly medicated! :) )
