I like them.

Let me be the first to ask, what's that other unit on the deck in the second video?????

Edit: OK, I took too long watching the videos, I'm second.....same question.....

OF
Someone mentioned, "in the third video, did they upgrade the switch part?" so maybe the first ones were like that? Im not sure what abbreviation goes here to mean, beats me.

I'm sorry if I confused you with my post, we're even, you've lost me along the way as well. Let me take another try?

Tim just posted 3 videos, one (the first) we've seen before. The second one (not third) has a second unit in the background with a different battery section (black cover all the way to the bottom, shorter window, more narrow ribs. It's just there, not touched or referred to. The third doesn't have it that I can see, just the usual ones up for sale.

For the record, that's not the 'switch part', that's inside in the adapter and doesn't seem to be any different, this is to the battery tube assembly and seems to involve all 3 parts.

Now to the part I don't follow, "Im not sure what abbreviation goes here to mean, beats me". The only abbreviation of mine you quote is "OK", a contraction of "Okay" a one time slang expression meaning 'fine'?

I knew what you were saying because someone else left a comment asking the opposite. The abbreviations around here are ramped, sorry sarcasm.

OK, I get it, my time is not important to you. It is to me. I take extra effort to not question people who are confused and try to fully explain things. You knew that, you baited me, you played me for a fool by taking advantage of my good nature.........

That is just plain wrong and it pisses me off. I don't not like being taken advantage of any more than you do. I need a break from this crap, I'm logging off for a while. I'm sorry to loose my temper but his is too much, it's no joke.

I'm sorry for any problems this might present to others, but I'm not going to sneak back and lurk in secret. I'll come back when I'm damn well good and ready and for my own reasons. I won't be shy, I'll try to remain as honest as I can. If some honest member has a pressing problem or emergency they need help with, please PM Tim or SC, they can get in touch with me elsewhere.

Again, to the innocent I'm sorry to loose my temper but I'm not up for any more of this.

Woah killer!!! I'm not even gonna finish reading this. Take advantage of you ??? your ridicules, because you helped me pick out a new unit, that i loved so we stayed in contact threw personal message for the last few months here and there. You didn't do anything for me, that i don't do happily for others on this site, and that i would do for you, so get off your high horse princess, and stop with the temper tantrum. Man up. I'm not sure whats going on in your life right now, but I've shown you nothing but respect, and you got me not giving a fuck about what ever it is thats eating you up. Sorry of, I'm not the bad guy, and your not gonna talk to me like I'm some bitch. Returning to our previous adult dialog of mutual respect for one another would be good.

And i wasn't asking a question i was proposing a possible answer. Hence your confusion over abbreviations of.

Modnote: Let's all calm down, please.

Thanks Tom Funk, good suggestion.

Then I discovered they did LR version of everything, finished drooling and then bought one of each and payed 53 odd dollars postage to get em here faster :) I'll shout TV first next time if it's a small order although if they work xmas presents are sorted for a few close friends in the most excellent way. Tracking says they are even in the UK customs 3 days later and that was over a weekend. That's damn fast compared to usual.

Genuinely really excited to try each one and going to extreme lengths to get some quality oil to do it some justice.

Thanks for all the info everyone, i'd still be sucking on tobacco if it wasn't for FC and this is my 1 year anniversary gift to mark it. I like toys way better than tobacco :)

It's in the third video as well, very top of the frame....a curious tease to be sure...

Jumping back to the inverter topic.
EDITED: Mis-judged the heat using a visual inspection only.
I have now tried another 300 watt unit with my power supply to find it works fine.
The inverter I have doesn't indicate if it's true sine wave or not but is similar to this one.
Doing some digging I found there are actually 3 types of inverters out there. Square wave, modified sine wave (actually more of modified square wave) and true sine wave. Comparison shown here.

square_modified_sinewave.jpg

There is a good explanation here.
Bottom line is the square or modified square wave units are not for use with inductive loads. Since Pipes power supply is a transformer based unregulated unit it will have unpredictable behaviour for sure. In my situation it all worked out. That 140 watt sure did some fun stuff though. Going to return it tomorrow.

For the best type (no compatibility worries) you need to find "pure sine wave" units. IMHO should be the only type for any application. They are out there but harder to find at a good price. I did find this one. and the seller has a few so chances are, if persistent can get for a reasonable price I'm sure.

From what is said in the link above, that type will work with any device using household power with only limitation been the wattage.

Pipes :D is so happy now....

Hey guys,

Just want to give a little advice for your All-Glass adapters. When you are installing or removing the glass make sure to give it a spin when your pulling away or pushing it on. Also if you feel its a little tight you can "lube" it up with some VG (vegetable Glycerin) or even a little oil from your hands can help it slide it on and off.

Also just a heads up, we are going to HempFest next week so we are starting to gear up and get all the kits built for this. If we take a little longer to get back to you we sincerely apologize in advance.

Thank you all for your support and your continued support for ThermoVape!

Cheers,

Tim

prk,

We are still under a supply bottle neck. We basically are sending them out the door as they arrive to us, we're still waiting for our first batch of 18g Adapters. I apologize for the delay and appreciate your continued support.

I was feeling a bit glutted having both the 14mm glass top and the glass mouth piece version top, so I passed my mouthpiece version on to another FC member, seeing that they are still in such high demand. Also I am very happy using the 14mm gong as a mouthpiece too, it's smooth to the touch, and a bit sturdier built IMO. They are about the same length, so for those of you unsure about which to buy, if you are stuck choosing one, the 14mm gong glass top plays both roles nicely.

Yeah I know I was so bummed I missed it! You really like the build quality over the mouthpiece, eh? Any drawbacks to using the 14mm adapter as a mouthpiece? Is it just lacking the flanged-out top edge that the mouthpiece has, but otherwise the same?

I didn't find any huge difference in performance, just as you say, they are just different in design. TBO the mouthpiece glass looks a bit more fragile to my eye, than the gong, it just isn't built the same. The gong is reinforced with thicker glass, and I find the smooth ground glass comfortable to the lip. Not at all saying anything is bad or wrong with the mouthpiece version. I am simply stating that the gong is functional as a mouthpiece or a gong piece. It also has a slightly deeper chamber for the herb to move around in, sort of dimples, where the mouthpiece top is more flat with a hole in the center. If you are not into bonging it, and just want the glass, the mouthpiece top would work great for your needs. Both hit really well.

I finished reading the whole thread (ok,i might have skipped a couple of posts...)and it's been three weeks since my first encounter with the T1. Before buying the T1,my only experiences with portable vaporizers were with the Iolite and the MFLB. I also own a Plenty and a viVape. I'm pretty new to the incredible world of vaporization so keep that in mind while reading my impressions on the T1.

The thing i like the most about the T1 is that you have to master it to get optimal results. This device is kind of difficult to pass on to a neophyte while explaining the principle, fonction and concept of the T1 in a party for example. In that regard,i think the Iolite and even the MFLB (the ones i know) are easier of approach for someone who never manipulated a vaporizer, let alone heard about vaporization.

For me,that makes the T1 something special. Not unlike shooting on a manual photo camera. All the factors that can make a good to astonishing photograph. What i mean is that for some people, instant results is all that counts. Polaroid people. No time to waste! And for my friend, owner of a Iolite for more than a year, the T1 is not worth all the time and efforts it requires. And my feeling is that he is not alone and i can understand that... But for all the others like me,there's a lot to benefit from the T1.

Before buying my T1 i think i was already in love with the concept! My first vaping session with the T1 was'nt satisfying to say the least. I combusted and i could'nt understand why since i was practicing my MFLB technique. Man i was wrong! And that sole session led me to read this whole thread. To educate myself. To learn. And then practice!

The understanding of the 3 steps mentionned earlier in this thread (heat the core, draw air, inhale) really got me going for my experiments! I tried with different ground herb sizes and i've found that i could obtain the right size with my S&B grinder. I then found out i could obtain more vapor with tight packed dry material. Almost full bowl. I'm also trying to perfect my pulsing technique to prevent the batteries overheating. I can obtain 7-10 very tasty hits while stiring between every hits.

I received the Smooth-Flow mouthpiece a couple of days ago and now the experience is even enhanced! Incredible tasty vapor clouds!!! I just can't believe it each time i take a hit! Wow! Just wow...

And that's the most important thing to me;the taste of the herbs vaporized by the T1. Magic! Not to mention that each and every hits get me medicated.the way i want. Pure satisfaction. And some pride!

Only drawback i have with the T1 is that the holes in the cap/mouthpiece get clogged easily and routine cleaning (blowing in the holes) after each stiring can get a little too much after a while. Especially while on the go. I have prepared a portable cleaning kit with ISO,q-tips and toothpicks.
I have an outdoor concerts event this weekend and will test drive the T1 on the road. I have bought 12 more batteries so i must be alright for the whole day/evening.

I'm waiting for my Revolution Conversion Kit to arrive. Then i will have some more to experiment!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all who have collaborated to this thread. Certain more than the others (you know who you are) but mostly one poster really acted as a guide throughout this thread and i named OF. Your input is really of great value here and your comments helped me become a better T1 vaporist. Thank you.

I also give a big hands of applause to the ThermoVape team with their presence on this forum. An example that other company should consider. I'm happy with my T1 and can't wait to see what other products TET have under their hats!
