Cheap High Quality Bubbler

so i just measured my piece, and the distance from that 'bowl' (not really sure what to call it but i think you know what i mean), to the mouth piece is 1.2inches. hopefully that would help you a bit with your question on whether it would work with your Cloud. the only thing i'd have to say about this is that your Cloud may be right in your face when hitting it but im not sure how much that would bother you. besides that, for the price, this is a pretty good deal IMO. if not, im sure it would still make for pretty good resell value to friends and whoever. my friends saw mine and were drooling haha :D

Thanks for the measurement! The cloud only needs 1" clearance, so that sounds like it will have just enough room. I am already using a piece that puts the cloud in my face, so I am already used to that. I am hoping this one will put a bit more distance than my current piece since the neck is curved out more, and won't be likely to fall forward. My mini can works well, but feels like it could easily tip forward if bumped when the Cloud is on it. I was hoping the central location of the downstem would help center the weight over the base. I agree, worse case is I move it along to someone else at a fair price if it's not right for the Cloud. I enjoy the Hydracirc that came with the Cloud but feel a little better about using it on a piece when sitting at my desk, or when other people want to use it.

Perfect opening for a Cloud, plus a curved downtube, putting it further away from your face, big beefy glass... for monster hits. I'm just saying...

Grab a ruler and remind yourself how big 6" is, for a bubbler base. *BAM*

Oh... space between your face and the cloud... if you drew a vertical line from the edge of the Dewaar, to the edge of the top of the mouthpiece... 5". Plenty of room for a Cloud.

I'm just saying...

Dang BigDaddy, if I had not already pulled the trigger on the other mulit-downstem bub, I would probably get that blackleaf. We'll see how the one I already ordered works out, if it's inferior to work for my needs, that blackleaf is next on the list of possible replacements. It looks like a beast, I am tempted to just pick one up... what I need to do is decide if I want to sell my DG mini can first...

HighlyEducated... any chance we can get some pics or vid of that 12stem bub in action to pass the time?

ask and you shall recieve,

this is a video i made for reddit and was going to make a new one for FC soon. just wanted to get a 18/14 reducer before i made the one for FC cause the vape to bubb connection is completely airtight. i'll definitely show you guys a new one when i get that new reducer too.

edit: also, this was taken on my iPhone so obviously it isn't the best video quality and can't show the piece to the fullest but i think it still gives you a good idea.

Thanks for the vid... so it does look a bit small, but judging by the size of your vape, and from what it looks like in the vid, the Cloud should have room to sit on top, assuming the glass can handle the weight. That is my main concern here, is putting weight on top of that suspended 12 downstem set up. I also noticed it picks up a bit when you were pulling the vape away, so not much weight to this piece either it seems. I am still very intrigued to see how it works for my desk set up. I have been using my DG mini can today, still trying to decide if I am ready to let it go... works great with the Cloud, just a little off balance. I got my shipping notice for the 12stem bub today, should be here Sat. right in the middle of our annual Whitaker Block Party, when most of the town is on our street.

i wouldn't really say that this piece is light. there was a pretty tight seal between the heat port and silicone that caused the lift but i can definitely see where you're coming from.

edit: typo

oh, I see what you mean, tubing can get stuck like that. I was just making assumptions based on what I was seeing... no biggie. I'll know soon enough if it's going to work for me. Still looks like a nice little piece.

Anyone know of a US source online, for the black leaf 10-arm Saxo bub... ?? I don't want to pay $30 shipping and risk getting glass shipped over seas. :\ I combed google and could not find another source selling that piece.

can i stick my male joint in there?
There are more cool bubblers on the 7th Floor site, including more $100 bubblers and some clever new $35 and $50 options! Comments?

the first 2 looks like natural percs, gonna be a chugger for sure!! the 3rd one could be a winner depending on price.

I had to get one of those black leaf 4 hose... even if I only use it a couple of times, at that price.:science:

might work well with the Cloud if a base is made to go with it for stability, or maybe even the Solo once we get those pvhes gong stems... also thought group dabs?? looks like fun.

Check this out: https://www.head-nature.com/article/07962/Weedstar-Mentalist-Inside-Cut.xhtml

and there is another version that looks a bit larger, but can't see the base, so I am asking about it now. $56+ shipping... hmmmm

The first one is $35.99, the second is $49.99, and the third one is $99.99. I like that last one best too. I'm really liking those new bubblers styles they're making.

I'm intrigued by those jar bubblers, too. I can understand what you're saying, b00bs, that they'd be chuggy. But at such a low price point, they're still pretty cool, imho. I'd love to see video of the jar bubblers (and the other ones too) in action--I've emailed 7th floor asking if they have any vids to share. :brow: I wonder if a similar jar-bubbler would work with the mouthpiece and GonG joint reversed, making it so that a log or a Solo or Cloud could balance on top more easily...

Got the 12 downstem bub today... it's a nice little piece for the price. I tested it out a couple of times and decided it was just a little too short of a profile for my comfort, so I put it up on the classifieds. Good try though, and for the price, it's a nice bub, the Cloud does sit very stable on top with that wide base. I just wish it was a couple of inches taller.

Here is a vid of it anyway...

My mini tree Saxo bubbler stacks like a motherfucker when the water's a bit dirty. It can nearly compete with the big boys stacking to the ceiling, IMO ;) . I haven't changed the water in a few days and it's a bit greasy, so I thought I'd try and get it on video. Not as easy as I thought though. My webcam says it is meant to be 30fps, but it's a gloomy, rainy day and even by the window and with the lights on it's only running at a max of 9fps and it's not really doing the bubbles justice. I've tried a few lighting angles, but I don't really know what I'm doing so if anyone knows how I can simply make it better then let me know, otherwise I'll perhaps try again on a sunny day and see how it works then.

Anyway, here's my slightly jumpy attempt- still looks good- the bubble stack at the very end kind of came out the clearest IMO

just got an email that head-nature.com does not ship to the US. FYI ( 4 hose black leaf bub) :\ since that fell through, I just went ahead and ordered a BL Saxo 10arm from grasscity. Not sure how long it will take to get to me, hoping at least 10 days because I will be at a festival most of next week and I have to sign for it.

Back with a vengeance!

HD 1080, of course

(Don't you love the sound of glass clink, in the morning?)

Oh, the "woo-whee" at the end, it didn't show up that well on camera, but it was a massive hit. Keep trying to stretch the extreme of not torching, with constant power, no flip and this one almost blew my lungs open, right after the clear.

Though, it looks like they're out of stock. Might want to check them out, though... email for restock or shop for another piece. They have decent prices.

I'm thinking I may just get a J hook and use a decent ash catcher. It would probably cost me the same as a good bubbler, but with the option of using almost any type of ash catcher.
I bought many of them at Grasscity. They have a good Black Leaf selection.
IMO, go for 90* angle (straight down joint) because the J hook will match perfect and allow you to watch bubbling action. Besides they are all 18 goatsie :) lol (Dewaar joint) for fast clearing.
I tried mostly all of them, but IMO the inline A/C is the best, very low in the base perc, allowing low water volume and like 4 or 5 inches of empty can for cooling down vapor. Perfect for my Solo.
Second will be the 8 arm tree A/C, very dragless piece, good for heavy hitters vaporizers, but you need to play a lot with water volumes and when clearing, don't pull too hard because you'll have wet lips or worst :)
From all I got, IMO, the showerhead A/C was the worst, huge bulbous showerhead, taking to much space and uneven centered, with more drag than the rest, tall water volume with often splash back :(
I have a Black Leaf downstem,
with less amount of slits but third of the size, in my old bong, and it's awesome.
Maybe my showerhead A/C is a lemon...
Good luck in your search, I'll try to post some video of my inline A/C soon.

p.s: did I forget to mention they have good deals?? The only problem is the shipping , only free above $200 I think, and they took like 2 & 1/2 weeks to deliver :(
Overall, very good bang for the buck.

Zangano Cruel,
Thanks, Zangano Cruel. That's some great information.

I want to get the smallest possible J hook. I've been looking at Black Leaf. Their J hooks seem decent.
