that's precisely what i meant, Lo. not sure why it helped either, however it did
honestly, seems to me like the charger is the cheapest piece of equipment that comes with the pax (based on the way it feels when you hold it, and just looking at it). this leads me to believe the issue is with the charger, not with the device its self.
edit: just thought i would post this here, charged the unit again fully this morning and everything seems to be going well. pax shows green light when shaken, took about an hour to charge as expected.
later tonight i'm going to try a layer of bud, some hash in the middle, and another layer of bud on top of that. i'll post back with results

just figured out a nice trick though for those who are looking to travel with their pax and don't want to have to worry about accidentally turning it on (even though you really don't have to worry about that in the first place).
anyway, what you do is turn it on, remove the mouth piece, put the pax on the charger, then remove it after it shines orange like its charging. this results in the pax turning off completely immediately, instead of waiting for 10 minutes or whatever like someone had mentioned they did earlier in this thread when they wanted to travel with the pax in their suitcase.

I figured out a way to interface to a water pipe but the pax really is not meant for this. not very good at filling up a water pipe at all. just fyi so you don't waste your time

nothing special just a tight pack running on high. i cashed the bowl in under 3 mins, friggin love that!! packing up my solo.

i only do the red for vape bonging, other then that orange is what i use on the regular.

This is the fun part for me. I get to sit back and watch the way in which everyone uses the device. Everyone has these little preferences. I love seeing how the device preforms with everyone specific expectations.
In terms of battery, I still find I get five or six 15 minute sessions and three 30 minute sessions on High. I don't know how much extra energy it takes to keep the device running on High versus Medium or Low. It might be significant energy consumption between the different temps... or there might not be much more energy required to heat it up more. That being said... I imagine the temp settings all offer about the same battery amount of operating time.
I also find it very interesting what temperatures everyone sets the device to during operation. I think most poeple seem to be sticking around medium and then finishing off on high. I am thinking I might be one of the few who goes directly to the high setting.

i decided i'll save the red setting for anyone thats skeptical if its producing a strong hit. on medium the AVB is already darker than what i get from the Extreme Q at ~200C and i generally prefer a tastier flavor to seeing huge clouds. seeing as how medium gets you pretty vaked I've just taken to not bothering with the temp button.
as far as pressing the temp button.. I like that its inside since you can't hit it by accident and like i said- i haven't been changing it at all after playing a bit. it could be centered on the other side, but something tells me thats where batteries are (hopefully far from the oven as possible).
on that topic - i've decided to only charge my pax once it has cooled (purely my own paranoia atm). while the temp of the unit doesn't burn me, it does concern me a little esp since some batteries can get warm on their own while charging (i've seen cellphones that will shut themselves down when overheating). i'd be curious to ask ploom if there is any battery temp monitoring.

How is the airflow with .41 grams? I find over .3 the airflow is too restricted. If you can fit .41 grams in there and still get okay airflow that is crazy... I can't think of another portable that fits that much.

OK, I ordered one from Vape World. I'm going camping next weekend and my local store says they aren't expecting any Pax's (Paxa, Paxi?) in inventory until the end of the month. Let the tense waiting begin...

I thought I had my heart set on a TV revolution for wax, but after reading and watching reviews of the Pax I might have changed my mind from a portable for concentrates to a portable for flowers.
I think the pax has the best style and great engineering, plus did I read they are made in the USA?
This will be my first portable, I'm just torn between buying a vape for concentrates or flowers...

i been packing up fat ass ovens all day, i've had like 7+ sessions on this battery and its still showing as yellow. i agree, this thing is amazing.
