Best CHEAP vaporizer I can throw away?

Yep, I'm looking for a vaporizer that I can throw away after a week. See, I am going to Atlantis (from the US) next month. I need to bring meds (of course) but I don't want to bring ANYTHING home. Last time in Aruba we were chosen for a random bag search (I left everything behind, so it was cool) and I don't want to risk a MFLB or Pax being found if it happens again. Whenever I travel, I bring some meds in a baby powder container (checked) along with a brand new, glass pipe. At the end of the trip, I ditch the pipe and leave whatever meds I have leftover for the cleaning crew at the hotel :)

So, now that I only vape, I really don't want to combust on vacation. At first I was thinking of buying a Pax and bringing it back after a thorough cleaning. I really don't want to risk it, however. I am thinking maybe a Ubie for like $20. Anyone have any experience with the Ubie? I know it gets mixed, and sometimes terrible reviews. Are there any others in this price range that I would be able to use, and not feel bad about leaving behind?

Thanks!

I have both the VG Coil and the Vapolution pocket vape and while either of these would work ok, I would lean towards the VG. The Vapo has writing on it that takes away from it's stealth factor and is a little bit more difficult to use IMO.

If gnomes were delivered faster i would recommend one.. Small size (no need to throw it.. its easy to clean) , doesnt need much torching to get satisfying results. True all glass airpath.. no butane fumes inhaled.. If someone asks you what is this.. well its your fancy straw for coctails.. :D

I've brought my arizer solo on several flights. Just make sure it's thoroughly cleaned and keep the stem separate from the arizer. Then again, I don't fly with any pot, so there's less on the line for me I suppose.

Thanks for the suggestions! This is just what I was looking for. I need something that's:

1) Cheap. I am not going to bring it home!
2) Usable. I want to vape, not smoke. I only need it work "pretty good" for 7 days. I am not expecting it to be like my Cloud or even my MFLB- just need it to produce decent vapor for a week!

As much as I'm not a big fan of lighter vapes for your situation - sounds like that would be your best bet. I'd grab a VG in your shoes I think.

Even though I'm not a big fan of inhaling butane left-overs or the taste of it I second the VG coil for the purpose described.

ps; I wish I had balls big enough to bring herbs on a plane. I'll drive through most of Europe with them, but that's about as far as I dare to take it. Luckily I got good at scoring abroad, lol.

Have a nice trip!

Unlike the other $20-40 vaporizers, the thing with the VG coil is... you dont have to trash it on your way home. Disassembled and scattered about your luggage (after an iso wash, which shouldnt be impossible to find) the parts are 100% innocuous.

You can certainly throw away the screen though.

Yea, I was thinking that while I was looking at the thing. I could break it up and nobody would ever know what it was! Looks like this is going to be the way to go. And either I get paranoid and leave it, or I clean it, break it down and take it home.

To comment on flying with meds, etc. - I have no problem flying domestically with meds or a vaporizer. I always put the meds in a baby powder container, covered in powder, and in my checked suitcase. I seal them in balloons first, so no powder gets in. I also always bring my MFLB along on skiing trips out West. I just don't like taking the risk of bringing any meds back. Especially overseas. In the Bahamas you bring your suitcase through customs with you. Sometimes you get picked at random for a search.

Tstat,
Seems like you already decided, but the Thermovape T1/Evolution seem like good kits for traveling. Can be broken down and boiled. I'm thinking about it myself.

I've never had much luck or enjoyment from lighter-base vaporizers. Owned a Vapor Genie for quite some time, but didn't much care for it.

I get the need for a throw-away. When I fly I usually resort to carrying a one hitter in my shaving kit and just combust at my destination.

Yea, I'm not wealthy! But yea, i get it that you can dismantle it, boil it, etc. It's an option, but I'd rather go cheap and either bring it home disassembled (VG). Or I can ditch it without feeling too bad. :)

I think I'm gonna buy a Pax. I would bring my wispr but I doubt I'll find 5x butane down in Aruba. I'm not bringing any meds. I'll get down there but they are awful. so I figure I'll buy a pax, make sure the screen oven and mouthpiece are clean with ISo and a pack of tobacco and I think I should be good to go. Especially after watching the cleaning video.

newVaper420,
I think that would be a throw away vape for the wealthy. ;)
Intended to be cleaned, not thrown away!

I just can't recommend the VG. YMMV, but I've used one extensively and I've found that

a.) It doesn't always work consistently. I've had combustion even after practicing proper technique.
b.) Sessions seem to take a long time with the VG
c.) It's not really portable. Yes you can carry it around, but it's pretty clearly a cannabis consumption device. I felt like I was tied to the room I was in when using the VG.

Still, I might consider getting a coil or even the glass model for the next time I fly. I'm tired of one-hit combustion.

The OP said, in his first sentence, that he wanted a vape he could throw away after a week. If you're not going to respond to the post as it's written, why bother? As for your issues with the VaporGenie, this is a short term, cost matters, situation. A cheap Genie may well be the best compromise between effectiveness and cost. It's not about the Genie as an ideal portable.

max,
I think I did respond to the post as written. The majority of folks here have recommended the Vapor Genie - I've addressed the concerns I've had with it.

The OP stated he wanted a throw-a-way. I merely gave a suggestion for another option. If OP travels a few times a year it would be more cost effective for him to go for a device that can be thoroughly cleaned and used as often as need be.

As I said, I understand the need/want for a throw-a-way device. I've utilized this method many times in the past. Still, I appreciate that other options exist, and may even save me money in the long run.

The Vapor Genie is not the ideal anything. IMO.

He wasn't asking for an expensive vape, but a throw away. He didn't want to bring a vape back in the country, clean or otherwise, so no, you didn't offer a suggestion that was on topic.
