To clear things up about why my shipping took so long;

The AC Adapter is [understandably since it is a new product] a very hot item so that is what delayed my order until today, when it was shipped. So if you didn't order the AC Adapter, yours should have shipped very quickly like the others here have indicated.

I'm still waiting on my AC adapter to be shipped that I ordered on July 9th. I was really hoping that would go out today but maybe they are waiting until tomorrow (when hopefully the glass mouthpieces come in) to send out my order...fingers crossed it comes soon! I can't wait to have these!! :D

420AmandaMarie84,
Sounds like the specific problem is identified already, but I thought I'd ring in here. I ordered a couple extra heating elements Friday and received them Monday. My experience with this company from day 1 is that they are consistently EXCELLENT with customer service. If there are shipping delays, I am willing to bet it has to do with low product stock rather than any kind of lag in service.

Boy guys... we are swamped over here and i gotta apologize for any ones order that took longer than normal. We've been trying to get all the Power Adapters made with the highest quality and had to filter through some parts that weren't quite right.

Thanks for bearing with us!

So I have been mainly using my 6v Evo for a while now, and decided it's time to say goodbye to the 3.7v so it's up for grabs over in the classifieds (full kit). We had a good run together. ;)

I know your evolution LV is sold already but a couple questions plz?

Do you get more individual hits with the LV or the 6v?

Why did you decide to go with the 6v over the LV?

Is one larger than the other?

I vape only 4 or 5 hits at a time, don't want a visible cloud on exhale, and use a small amount. So which one should I go for? 6v or LV, and why?

Thanks so much for your guidance on my upcoming purchase.

I mainly sold it to help pay for an expensive desk top vaporizer I just ordered. I have a pretty good surplus of portable supplies, so I decided it would be a good one to let go of, since I didn't use it as much, and also because now that I have the 6v AC plug in adapter, and mainly use the 6v Evo when I do use the Evo. It's a mixed bag as to which you should choose... I'm a bit tired right now, about to go to bed, so I don't have the thought process to explain it all out. 6v does heat a little faster than the 3.7v. They are the same size, and perform almost the same, after fully heated up. 3.7v takes a bit longer to get to full heat. Right now I would go for 6v just because you can get the plug in adapter to run it full power, but that's just me. Eventually they plan to find a 3.7v AC plug in, but I don't know how long that will take. Ok, going to bed now, maybe I can come up with better info for you after some rest. Anyone else care to add to this? I would appreciate it.

Thanks. Based on your info it looks like I will go for the Evo LV Kit. TV says the LV gives more individual hits, although with a longer warmup time. Single batt instead of 2 I believe. Slightly smaller? I don't really need the adapter right now and I think they will have to provide one soon for LV for marketing reasons.

The T1 is too big for the tiny amounts I use, same consideration for 6v vs LV.

Anyone else care to chime in about their decision for the Evo LV and how it works?

Thanks

OK everyone!

The Glass mouthpieces came in, and again we got slightly lower quantity than expected due to everyone keeping the Quality Control high. We have 15 Good ones that we started shipping out, the next batch should be shipped in a week or so.

I apologize for these coming in slower than what we all thought, but we have to make sure only quality pieces are sent out our doors. We test fit every single one to make sure that the O-ring fits properly.

If anyone has a concern about when their order is going to come in, please e-mail us at sales@thermovape.com and we can try to ship out the other items of your order first.

Cheers,

Tim

See...outstanding customer service! Although this message does not impact me personally, I just appreciate this kind of interaction with and concern for customers. I wish all businesses would operate like this.

Hi Coastal - I have no experience with the 6v Evo, but my household has a couple of the 3.7v (LV) Evo kits - and we absolutely LOVE THEM!!! I began using TV products by way of their other LV attachments (Revolution window and Dart) on another manufacturer's power supply and just decided to stay at 3.7v (also prefer to use a single battery as opposed to the 2 batts currently needed ( unless you invest in the PS Adapter). That being said, I prefer using the full TV EVO KIT-I like the way the AW IMR 17670's perform.

Like many others on this thread, I've run the Evo in a number of configurations. It certainly works the 'normal' configuration (with the insulating sleeve etc.) - actually, I find that I can get medicated with minimal vapor/max taste in this fashion. However, I personally prefer using the LV EVO w/o the sleeve and with the UFO PTFE mouthpiece inserted directly into the Evo's core. With proper heat up ( for me anywhere from 45-70 seconds depending on the 'condition' of my flower) you can really get it to rip like hell - I find the first couple of pulls to be very favorable, and the rest can be pretty intense. I think that it's a pretty versatile little device that you'll enjoy finding 'your sweet spot'. Good luck.

Why does removing the sleeve help. I know a lot of people use this technique but wouldnt the sleeve help keep the heat in.

I got the 6v Evo because when I called TV they said they always recommend the SV version if the person already has the batteries or is buying the T1. I really like the SV Evo I don't get massive clouds but don't really need to because I am to get several small hits that actually pack a lot of punch and have great taste
I get pretty medicated off 2-3 bowls but I don't pack much in the bowl

TB- I went with the LV EVO b/c I already had a bunch of 3.7v power supplies and wanted to avoid having the same type device at a different voltage level (minimized my costs for different batteries and any additional aggravation that 'paired batteries' (2batts needed for SV; charging probs can arise when one bad batt takes down the other)). That being said, I would also have maintained the SV if I had the 6v batts/charger..

The main reason I removed the sleeve was to be able to insert a UFO PTFE (also avail in delrin) mouthpiece directly into the Evo's core. I find it much easier to clean out the separate UFO mouthpieces between loads (I like to clean the UFC's 8 holes with a paper clip-easy when it's a little warm) and it eliminated the screen that I used to place over the load ( prior to replacing the sleeve) to keep it where it belonged-and not in my mouth. When I run it this way I seem to have a better 'feel' for the heat level that I need to attain/maintain during a session. There has been some debate re: whether the sleeve helps/hinders with heat retention but in the end, I guess it comes down to personal preference. I have used it with the sleeve perfectly fine as well.

NoName,
Can anyone please share about how long (in minutes) a new set of batteries lasts them (time being switched on)? I've read you're not supposed to drain these batteries (3V for the SV model) all the way and I'm noticing a significant drop off at about 3 mins. That seems to be close to what I think others might be getting from the anecdotal info on here, but wanted to ask directly. How much _usable_ time of "on" do you get on a charged, new set of batteries?

A lot of folks talk about number of bowls and hits, but I find that harder to gauge, since I think I may be drawing for a longer time than some others per hit. Thanks.

No offense, and I understand you're anxious and all, but do we all really have to be in on this?

The very message you quoted said "If anyone has a concern about when their order is going to come in, please e-mail us at sales@thermovape.com and we can try to ship out the other items of your order first." Tim has left several broadcast messages here saying they're extremely busy trying to cover folks with the stock available, I think it would be a poor use of his time to haunt these messages looking for something like this to respond to. It would only delay other peoples orders.

Perhaps a call instead? It would get you an answer faster, and keep us out of it.

Again, please, this is not a criticism of this poster (it happens a lot IMO) but rather questioning the whole idea from both a courtesy (to the Forum Members and their time) and efficiency (in terms of TV resources).

Thanks for listening. I hope you get your gear quickly, everyone does I guess, but sometimes being on the cutting edge has drawbacks as well.

This is all sorted out if you buy a kit to start with, of course. IMO the major decision is 'do I want to run a T1?'. If so, that much at least has to be SV (no LV T1s at present). IMO this leads to SV use in Evolution, Revolution/DART and anything else you might want. Otherwise you're looking at two sets of batteries, chargers and the possibility you'll screw up and try to run a LV device on six Volts. You're sure to love the extra heat......for several seconds.....

Otherwise, if you don't want T1s, LV is probably a better choice. Longer battery life and only one to deal with gets the nod.

Confusing enough for you?

Hi OF,

What are the differences b/w LV evo vs. SV evo vs. T1 in terms of:
  • charge time?
  • battery life? (seems like t1 is definitely the poorest model here, but I'm wondering by how much?)
  • warm-up time?
  • botanical capacity?

What are the differences (if any) b/w LV evo vs. SV evo vs. T1 in terms of:
  • charge time?
  • battery life? (From what I've gathered, the difference b/w the LV evo vs SV evo is nominal. It also seems like T1 is definitely the poorest model here, but I'm wondering by how much?)

SV charges faster than LV since you can charge two cells in parallel (at the same time), in use LV has a slight hit count advantage but heats slower. T1 is SV only of course, so this isn't a factor there. I think T1 heats faster, holds a bit more, has 'purer taste' but needs stirring between hits to work best. If stealth is high on your list, Evolution has the advantage. However, IMO battery life is not a problem with T1, you just need to plan for batteries as well as more herb.

I think the logic starts with T1. If you want ease of use and more stealth that leads to Evolution. If you already have other SV stuff, the faster warm up wins out over the cost of new batteries (and charger) unless a few extra hits are really important.

No 'solution' can really to too bad, they're all good you know.

Good luck deciding.

Thanks very much! That all makes sense.

I'm leaning towards starting off w/ a t1/revo combo, then in the future adding an ultra or ultralite and lv dart for my super stealth set-up. I think I prefer concentrates for super stealth missions (at least for now), so getting the dart will be a more natural choice.
