OF, I think he meant a battery that can retain enough power to be used for months ;)

You think? Not a serious question?

OK, it's still a serious answer. For most guys, 2700s I think are a mistake. For a one hit advantage best case (charged just before use) IMO it's a poor trade off against weak batteries a few days later.

Once you get a PA, you might as well throw HSD batteries away. You just won't use them, and in my experience if you don't keep them constantly charged, they die.

I keep the original LSD batteries for times when I'm taking my LB somewhere, but the Powerex 2700s are history. They wouldn't hold a charge anymore. My first 2700s didn't last a year before one of them just stopped charging, and the other three would only charge to about 2100 mAH, even after a full break-in cycle on the C-9000. When I left them uncharged for a month or so, all of them were completely useless.

They did deliver more punch than 2400s when I was using them right off the charger, though.

After more testing I'm starting to get the hang of the LB. I've been using mostly the AC adapter a smidge
less than half way. I saw a video where the guy said not to make a seal around the stem while drawing but instead to slowly inhale with the stem just inside the opening of your mouth.

Seems to make a huge difference. I am hammered right now, a bit too much though.

I find it odd using the batteries now. I need to learn how to use the batteries again. I find that the batteries get very hot after 3 draws. I usually rotate two batteries so they don't get hotter than they get now. The batteries are certainly stealthy but they don't maintain a steady power all the way through the hit.

Can one of you PLEASE invent a new battery that lasts for months without needing to be recharged???

Maybe this entry will start the 700th page. I have an old MFLB from back when they had no light inside. I took it to work and put it on the power supply to see what it's doing. The draw on the battery must be really high when it's on. It was taking something like 12 Watts. That's why it heats up so damn fast. The little AA battery is working really hard to do that. So with MFLB, the battery should be thought of as a one or two bowl thing. Have a lot of spares or use the power adapter.

Good to hear.

So how do you feel the LB starting to compare to your other vape in terms of the high produced and overall efficiency?

Hi friends. which mix good for you? I love my mflb + bong glass + marjiu type critical mass. I use bong and not burn more 'throat - palate :)
I can clean the mflb with alcohol drink?

NO, you do not want to use drinking alcohol on your LB! Please look here for cleaning tips. Only Isopropyl alcohol should be used, and sparingly. Just a little drop on a qtip will do it. :)

I've had my LB for about 10 months and I love it, but I don't think it's really working properly anymore, which I'll try explain as succinctly as possible...

It still gets me high, which is obviously the main thing, but the vapor doesn't taste great anymore and it often is very harsh in the back of my throat without me combusting at all. The last few times I've used it, it's been a bit unclear if I'm actually getting much vapor or not, which wasn't really a problem a couple of months ago.

Cleaned the screen carefully with iso and the provided brush and held a charged battery in with the lid open/empty trench as directed, but that didn't seem to improve it much. And it's not particularly dirty, even before the iso it was reasonably clean looking, I probably consume like a tenth of what the average user would with it so I don't think it's a case of resin buildup or anything.

I only came to the conclusion that something might be wrong with the unit itself a few days ago, as up till about a week ago I'd been using the same herb for over a year, and despite storing it reasonably well it had gotten fairly dry/lifeless compared to fresh shit, so I chalked up the poor taste and hard to gauge vaporization to the herb itself.

I finally got some awesome new shit recently, some of the nicest smelling and stickiest I have ever seen, you'd think it would taste amazing in any vaporizer but I still found it a little unpleasant in terms of taste and how harsh it was, it actually disappointingly similar to the stuff I'd been using for ages, which was fairly average taste wise. I got high from it of course but not as much as I'd expect to if it had been working properly, as I'd been up for nearly 24 hours when I vaped (and I always get super high off of even a tiny amount if I've been up for a long time beforehand) and hadn't gotten high in about 2 and a half weeks, plus it was the first time trying the aforementioned shit which is technically way better than the bud I was using before.

tl;dr my MFLB was awesome for quite a while, then it stopped getting me very high which I chalked up to tolerance etc. so I switched to my VG and/or bong for a while and they got me very high with just a little herb, but when I went back to the LB with new (and way better) bud after not using it for at least 6-8 weeks, and having cleaned it to the best of my ability, it still doesn't work very well... I'm thinking either there's a tiny gap in the screen or something causing a fault somewhere or my batteries are dying (though I have 4 and don't think I've used them enough for that to be the case), or there's some weird aftereffect from cleaning it with the iso. One thing I forgot to mention is that the ground up herb tends to clump in the trench, and stick to the screen a bit more than I would like, whether using particularly sticky herb or not. Not really expecting anyone to solve this little problem for me haha but just thought this is probably the most appropriate place on the internet to post about it...

I suspect you over drove it a bit with a bench supply. The ratings are something like 15 Amps max at .75 Volts at the rails. The ones I measured were closer to 8 Watts IIRC? The internal resistance of the cell plays a HUGE role. With an external 'stiff' supply you want to drive at about .75 Volts to simulate a fresh battery.

Yes, it does use a lot of steam, which is why it works?

I finally got some awesome new shit recently, some of the nicest smelling and stickiest I have ever seen, you'd think it would taste amazing in any vaporizer but I still found it a little unpleasant in terms of taste and how harsh it was, it actually disappointingly similar to the stuff I'd been using for ages, which was fairly average taste wise. While there could be an issue with the box, if the AVB is normal, it's supplying the correct heat and that's all it's supposed to do.

I wouldn't discount the herb. When it comes to use in this guy "nicest smelling and stickiest I have ever seen" is not necessarily a plus. Dry and find grind are.

Good luck. While they do seem to change some over time, 'wearing out' doesn't seem to be a common event. Lots of boxes out there with lots of miles still doing great.

Bipola, are you going by vapor density? Not every strain gives you clouds! And as others have said here, visible vapor is wasted vapor...

What are your guy's tolerances like? I've just recently starting having to go through a second trench to get where I want... it's become t-break time.

bipola if the batteries are 10 months old also i think its time for new ones.
Especially if your using the charger that comes with the LB.

Mine is pretty low as I am able to use a gram and a half a week, only using my MFLB.

First, resin buildup happens with damp sticky weed, as OF says, so dry that stuff out a little. If your older drier material clumps too, then you should be happy because the clumping comes from melting trichomes, which contain the goodies you're after. You can really see this if you ever try putting kief in your LB. It cakes up immediately, but it can also stick to the screen, so I've only ever done that once. Resin buildup under the screen or on the shoulder rails should not affect performance, by the way, but clogging the screen isn't a good idea.

Next, have you tried new batteries? I'm with al bundy here, this seems the most likely explanation. Either the batteries have lost their poop or your charger is not doing its job anymore.

Finally, as OF mentions, look at your ABV because if it's properly browned then it's not the LB, it's you. If you aren't sure then try this test: 4.16 How can I tell if my Box is running too cool? I should point out that it's pointless to do this unless you've eliminated the batteries and charger as the source of the problem.

Its probably the batteries.

Get some new ones. I think they need replacing around every 6-8 months.

1 full trench (up to just under the rails) is enough for me. I've been vaping at least 2 trenches a day for the last.... since November. 2 trenches in a row for me = uncomfortably high. Sometimes I'll just sit at my computer for a good 45 minutes and listen to music or something because it can get to be too much. The stuff I'm putting in is SoCal's medical stuff, although i'd imagine that a vaporizer can make even middies feel like dank to people.

I am an every day, several times a day MMJ user. I still get ripped off 2 water-filtered rips off the trench. It honestly depends on how you're using it.

If I'm just ripping thru pulls off the box, I will lay waste to a trench and load another. Hey... sometimes, its just fun. However, if I'm really paying attention to my med needs, I'll take 2 good size pulls and wait 5 minutes. 5 minutes later, I notice... I'm very well medicated.

Try slowing down first, before you take a break. You might be surprised.

Oh and HELLO EVERYONE. No... I'm not dead.

What do you guys do with your spent batteries? I usually recycle normal batteries but because these ones have been stripped I don't want to mix them in with other recycled ones. I have a farm and I buried the last ones but I don't want to have to keep digging holes for that.

I keep spent batteries of all sorts until I have enough to warrant a trip to the local recycling facility, where they also accept toxic waste, usually about once a year.

Haha, you made a waterfaller for the box! This works way better with combustion, unfortunately, as it doesn't require the careful breath control and shaking after every few hits. That was my first piece I ever made and used it for my first time. Kicked my ass and made me fall in love

I made some revisions
http://imgur.com/YWRgq

Hopefully, the flow control would be somewhat calibrated to the temps an mflb runs at. So that you can press the battery, open the middle and it would do the rest. If not, open-close-open-close like inhaling could be used.

New version makes it way more user friendly.
- No mess and easy refilling.
- Smaller
- Simpler
- Movable lid and locking container allow the mflb to be shaken mid-draw
- Easier and more cleanly inhaling process.
- Fail-safes
